YellowSquare Reviews: Florence
YellowSquare Florence provides female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms. We have an easy working space in the shared areas where you can grab a coffee and work at the tables before or after check-in. For daily activities and food, Barmezzo has a restaurant and events every day like karaoke, quizzes, and beerpong. Bargiu is where the cool events happen featuring live music, dj sets and stand-up comedy that brings together locals and travelers. During the summer, you can head up to Barsu, our rooftop pool bar where social parties take place with a view.
People in the reception and the bar are really nice. Rooms are clean. The only two advices that I’d give them: they might thinking about changing the dj for the club night because the crowd is international and we were not having fun with soft techno music. And the second is they might add bar hopping or other fun activities to connect people more instead of karaoke.
Yellowsquare Florence is such a welcoming place! From the moment I walked in, all staff took great care of me and worked hard to create a super chill and relaxed vibe. I made several friends and the dorms was very comfortable. Their luggage holding option on the day of checkout is super nice. Alex was extremely helpful when I had a phone crisis, and even let me use his own phone to contact the next place I was staying. I highly recommend yellowsquare Florence!!
The place is great, you have so many options any time. You also have an excellent place where you can not only sleep and eat but also interact with other ppl and do different activities.
Not flexible when it comes to booking
I Love YellowSquare, they have a great team and super cool activities and events for people to socialize and get to know each other. There’s a lot of young people so it was super fun and interactive. The rooms and bathroom were also clean. I took the cooking class with Marco and it was fantastic. He made the experience really entertaining and delicious 😉 And I can only recommend playing beer pong in the yellowbar, it’s a great way to meet people and to have a lot of fun.
I stayed here for 3 nights and had the most amazing time ever! The staff put on activities everyday and night so it was super easy to meet other travellers. The staff were really made me feel welcome and at home here. I will definitely be coming back!!
The staff was always there to help and keep you relaxed. The facility’s available were always very clean and ready to use. The food and drinks were at great price and delicious!
Great stay, good size bedrooms, comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms. Excellent entertainment options, great to have kitchen handy.
I loved all of the setup: bar, common areas, kitchen (albeit didn’t use), rooftop, club,…
Also all of the events being organized which was a great way to meet people.
Only minor things in “to improve”. E.g. the showers in the room aren’t isolated well. Tends to get the whole bathroom floor wet.
This was hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. After staying here, no other hostel deserves a perfect rating. Only negative thing is that they don’t have a permit to sell alcohol after 1 am, but that’s the only thing I can think of
Facilities we’re far above expectation, rooms clean and staff friendly and helpful
Big (mostly tidy) kitchen, lots of daily activities and opportunities to meet other travellers, the bar and cafe downstairs were great, there were books and games on the bookshelves downstairs to use, decent sized room, big rooftop with deck chairs and a pool and bar, although we stayed in March so we didn’t swim and the rooftop bar was closed but the bar downstairs was still open and they let us take our drinks upstairs so it didn’t really matter it was still a nice atmosphere and nice to soak up the beginning of the spring sunshine. Overall a great stay.
I can recommend this hostel for a short stay in Florence to discover the city. Although it’s a 15 minute walk to the city center you have a great staff and a nice building with Café, bar/bistro.
Smooth feel at the hostel was topped up with the Lithuanian coffee experience – served straight forward, pretty-eyed. Unforgettable.
I really enjoyed this hostel. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The hostel had a great vibe as well. Really great food and drinks at the bar, and great breakfast.
There were also always activities going on, like the movie night.
Easy to meet new people, big and clean rooms, charming atmosphere, a good bar, lots of additional services and programs available, very friendly staff who helped me with all my needs.
I’ve stayed with YellowSquare before in Milan. It was fun to refresh old YellowSquare memories and create new ones. I’ll be coming back for more. 10/10 would recommend.
This was my first hostel experience. The bunks themselves in the room where perfectly adequate, although were in a configuration which didn’t give a great amount of privacy but were comfortable enough. The bathrooms were particularly dirty, shower had mould in the corners and the toilet wasn’t cleaned very frequently which was definitely needed. Outside of the room the facilities were fine but the building had a bad smell to it. You get what you pay for with accomodation but I was hoping better than this.
Facilities are new and nice. Beds have curtain rods but no curtains which would be nice. A bit far out from city center but not too bad.
It is by far the best hostel in the World!
Was our first hostle experience and probably wouldn’t stay here again. Our room wasn’t clean, mould in the shower. The “men” we stayed with didn’t seem to know how to use a toilet seat properly and had their stuff all over the room. The variety of experiences were cool but the whole place smelt like baby nappies/diapers the whole time we were there.
Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt very safe and comfortable staying within this hostel, and the vibes and social aspect was everything I had hoped for.
Very nice hostel, great staff, cool activities offered, had a great time there!
Easy to get to from the Railway Station, by tram or walking. Not too far from the main sites.
Had a very pleasant stay with approachable staff
From a smooth & early check-in to good food and cheap drinks, this place has everything! The staff is super helpful and friendly. We arrived and Monica helped us check in very smoothly and gave us a welcome beer and maps on what to do in the area. They have fun activities to do all week long and the place is very centrally located to the great sights in Florence! If I were to stay in Florence again, I would gladly stay here!
Everything was very good and clean. Very happy staff . Nice renovated building . Parking in the accommodation.
The Hostel is beautiful, they always have very entertaining activities, the staff is amazing. The rooms are super comfortable. All excellent.
Clean, good vibes, and very easy going and helpful staff
YellowSquare Hostel was incredibly welcoming from the minute you walk through the door. The staff is friendly and helpful, there are an abundance of activities to participate in throughout the day and night if you’re wanting to stay in. The food was delicious, and the rooms were a great size, and every thing was very convenient.
Experience was great ! Helpfull staff, beautiful hostel.
Wonderful staff, amazing food but the bathrooms could be cleaner
The rooms are new, the lobby area is very cosy, the staff is very kind and helpful. We had a great time there! 10/10
Instalations are clean and the place is super comfortable! I totally love it!
I loved my stay at YellowSquare so much to the point that I think it is the best hostel I ever stayed at out of a lot of hostels I stayed at before in my life. The rooms are spotlessly clean and so are the bathrooms, the reception and bar people are super nice, and every day there is something new to do and enjoy! Only stayed for two nights but wish I’d stayed longer. Definitely won’t be my last time coming here!
Good ambient, nice rooms, beds and bathroom. Good communal kitchen and structure.
