YellowSquare Reviews: Florence
YellowSquare Florence provides female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms. We have an easy working space in the shared areas where you can grab a coffee and work at the tables before or after check-in. For daily activities and food, Barmezzo has a restaurant and events every day like karaoke, quizzes, and beerpong. Bargiu is where the cool events happen featuring live music, dj sets and stand-up comedy that brings together locals and travelers. During the summer, you can head up to Barsu, our rooftop pool bar where social parties take place with a view.
The experience of the room, bathroom, bar and restaurant, are excellent. Everything is clean and it has so many features. However, when I was checking in their system failed and I had to what two hours to get into the room.
The hostel was clean and comfortable, even hip and chic! Good location relative to the train and bus station. The restaurant and bar are good and affordable options. My room was near the lobby so it was loud on some nights. Really appreciated the luggage storage.
Everything you would want or need is arranged for in this hostel. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, friendly staff, social activities. It is located close to the train station but out of the center, so a bit of a walk but at the same time you’re staying in a less touristic area with some good Italian bars and restaurants.
Amazing staff and people at this hostel – nice and social, which is always great for a social traveller! The beds were comfy with all the amenities you needed. I really enjoyed my stay 🙂
Excellent hostel. It was clean and nice. Food was nice and had lots of activities.
Nice hostel with a nice vibe ! The staff was very kind and the atmosphere was great. The only thing not that great is the location. It is at 30min walking from the historical center of Florence, which is quite far for everyday since we have to walk a lot in the city/museums.
Nice staff, clean rooms and amazing people.
Can highly recommend it to any solo traveler.
The only thing that slightly bothered me were the bunks, every time your hand touches the metal walls there’s a loud thump.
Friendly staff, clean spaces, well equipped kitchen
Nice place with clean rooms, my only notice is that the beds lack curtains for privacy.
Amazing place, super clean and such a great vibe! Definitely coming back to Florence and staying here again
The stay itself was alright, staffmembers are very friendly and nice.
Sadly due to a cargotrain derailment we werent able to depart from Florence as planned so wo extendet another night at yellowsquare, which sadly was incredibly expansive in comparison to what we paid for our regular stay. The 10%off didnt do mich about that and staff said the system makes the prices and said that he is sorry he cant do anything about it. Which surely wasnt bis fault, he was very friendly!
It would have been nice if a fair price in that situation had been possible. Felt much much a ripoff in the situation we were in, we didnt realy have a choice but to pay more than 110 € for one night in 2 Dormbeds.
Quite the punch to the fun of visiting this wonderful City.
Dont think i can recomment that to anybody and honestly dont know if we will book here again on our next visit to Florence next year.
Everything is clean, the staff are friendly and approachable, the beds are private and the perfect size, the safe is easy to use and the perfect size, and the lockers fit everything you need. Overall, the place are a chill and safe vibe, I would highly recommend.
The hostel is great! Very clean and new, has fun activities for guests, and an overall very welcoming atmosphere.
Not super central, but that doesn’t matter in such a tiny city. It’s a clean, stylish, comfortable place. The community seemed nice (didn’t really have time to engage, but people seemed to enjoy themselves). Can be a bit loud (thin walls maybe?) but that’s unavoidable in such a hostel.
We stayed 2 nights at Yellow Square. The dorm rooms were clean and tidy and had good storage lockers. The common areas were spacious and clean. We enjoyed the daily activities that were on offer. We ate from the food menu on offer which was good.
YellowSquare is slightly away from the main hub of Florence’s attractions, but as a walker, it didn’t bother me. The hostel was clean and so much fun! The amount of activities (including genuinely free activities) included was perfect and I couldn’t believe how many people I met from the hostel during my stay!
As a solo traveller, I highly recommend this hostel! Made me feel right at home!
Awesome spaces and staff
Great place to stay in Florence, just outside of the busy part. Staff was great, rooms were clean, and they hosted events everyday.
Room was comfortable, quiet, and clean.
Absolutely amazing, staff were incredible, plenty of activities to do during your time there, rooms were tiny and cleaned well! Will absolutely be staying here in again in the future!
Nothing to say except keep going like that 🙂
Staff was super nice and friendly! Highly recommend!
Nice hostel, clean and welcoming. A little further out of Florence centre than advertised but okay. Kitchen facilities close that 11:30 and open at 7:30 which is frustrating when you have an early travel day and need water or to get breakfast.
Thanks for an amazing stay! Enjoyed the hostel atmosphere, hope you’ll expand to other countries too!
I loved my experience here at Yellowstone Florence. I was able to meet a lot more people who also enjoy traveling and new experiences. It was a super fun experience and I really enjoyed the salsa night!
I really enjoyed staying at the hostel, the staff was outstandingly friendly, the decoration was cool, the kitchen was fully equipped (please clean the microwave more often), the room had a good size and the bathroom was very clean. Also the guests were very respectful and polite, it’s a great place to make new travel friends!
The only downside, is I was robbed by roommates.
The hostel was just amazing, the facilities were really clean and the room as well, the do every night different types of activities and they are super fun, we met so many people from everywhere and the staff always showed a positive and kind attitude.
I really liked the hostel, the staff were nice and the room was clean. I enjoyed getting some food and drink at the Barmezzo and the social activities from hostel looked amazing.
I have stayed in dozens of hostels and this one was the best equipped so far, with the nicest daily activities. All concepts there make 100% sense (luggage, washing, cooking area, bar, party basement, …). Also, the staff was very helpful and the environment sets you in a good mood.
YellowSquare was a great hostel overall. Good social environment and activities in the common area including free pasta and welcome drinks. The rooms themselves were very nice but our room did feel dark as maybe needed some extra lighting. Rooms have large lockers for bags and small safes for valuables as well as in bunk lights and chargers. The rooftop pool looked amazing though we didn’t use it as it wasn’t warm enough outside during our trip. Would definitely stay here again.
YellowSquare was amazing! We loved our stay and we wished we were able to stay for longer! When I come back to Florence I will be staying there!
This was my first ever solo trip and yellowsquare was the best hostel I could have asked for. From free pasta and wine, to the most welcoming reception, I was blown away by the unique experience. This hostel was a really kind environment and I felt so safe in my all girl’s room and making friends in the club downstairs.
If you look for a place to stay in Florence, I wouldn’t even consider other option – only YellowSquare. Close to the train station S.M.N., well-connected with the city by tram (but you can walk as well), the staff is very helpful and international – they speak many languages so there is no problem with communication. The evening activities were excellent and well-organised.
The staff was very friendly and ready to help you with anything. The free pasta for dinner on Friday is a nice initiative.
