Everything was amazing. I felt very comfortable in that place. The facilities were very clean and well organized, the staff was always very kind, and the food was really good.

Loved staying here! Staff were all kind, rooms were very clean, and the location just outside the city center was great. The pool was perfect given the heat and we loved the pasta dinner.

Absolutely loved the curtains for each bunk, the air conditioning in the heatwave was a life saver, and the pool was the most amazing touch! We will definitely be back to stay here, the nightly free pasta and the free activities to meet other travellers were so so useful and we had such an amazing time here!

I was pleasantly surprised by the happy, bustling vibe that the hostel offered. I met some amazing people from the hostel and they had tons of fun activities for everyone to participate in! The room was comfortable and I had my own locker and privacy curtains.

Thank you for such an enjoyable stay! Me and my cousin stayed in a 4 bed dorm and had such a good time. I want to come back to Florence and will definitely book here again

Helpful staff – lovely pool – free pasta – a free drink – cheap breakfast options – perfect rooms – great atmosphere

This hostel makes an incredibly welcoming environment will lots of social activities all throughout the week to bring people together. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, and the pool made it completely worth it to be a little further from the City center.

I was surprised by how spacious, clean the room and all the facilities were (in contrast to the hostels I have stayed at). Ample storage. Good soundproof room and black-out curtain. My roommates were friendly and respectful. Love the designs and layout (inside and outside). I would stay with YellowSquare again. Grazie mille!!

Clearly I booked in a wrong place because of my age. 50 years old. The oldest guest had 30 years old as much. Atmosphere of College university. I read late that the maximum age is 45 years old .

Felt super safe here, nice staff, my bed was comfortable, and everything was nice and clean. The beds were made out of metal so if you’re moving it your bed it made a lot of noise which was kind of akward in the morning when you’re trying to not wake anyone else. But would definitely recommend, met the nicest people as well!!

I spent 4 nights at the hostel and all was great ! The room was clean with all the necessary to sleep well (In the dormitories there are curtains , lights, lockers…)

the hostel was really clean, the staff and other guests were super nice! me and my friends booked a room together but sadly weren’t able to have beds all in the same room, which was really disappointing. they gave us free towels and locks tho! in the end it was fine. another thing that happened was, that apparently some staff member left the windows in my room open and locked them so we couldn’t close them ourselves. everything was fine until abt 20 mosquitoes came into our room over night. i couldn’t sleep at all and i went to the front desk many times to ask for a solution or something. sadly, he couldn’t close the windows due to it being a women only room and it being like 4am, which i definitely respect, but they sadly weren’t able to help in any other way. so, if you stay at this hostel, BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY!
it was an unfortunate situation and the staff tried their best which i appreciate! the pool was amazing!

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!

I had a pleasant stay at YellowSquare Florence. The atmosphere was lively, friendly, and perfect for meeting other travelers. The property was clean, well maintained, and conveniently located.

A special thank you to Linda at reception, who was extremely kind and helped me with my luggage as I have a back issue. Her support was greatly appreciated. I would also like to mention the housekeeping staff member who cleaned my room (unfortunately I do not know their name). They were very professional and did an excellent job throughout my stay.

There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The entrance is not very luggage-friendly, as there are only stairs and no easy access for guests with heavy bags or mobility issues. Additionally, when it started raining, there was no option to rent or borrow an umbrella, which would have been very helpful for travelers.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hostel.

Very clean, it’s near to the station, the people of the hostel espectacular, talk different languages, and the free pasta love it.

All the yellow square hostels are nice, but Florence really stands out. The rooftop pool, the large terrace, the club in the basement and all the activities organized by the interns. The amazing was really great

I had a really good time, my room was very clean and even had a great terrace. I really enjoyed the the pool and thought that the location was ideal. The staff were super friendly and helpful and planned such great activities. It was very easy to make friends and I felt super safe as a young female solo traveler.

The hostel is great, very clean and with everything we needed. The activities animated each night are awesome, the staff is very kind and welcoming. And a big bonus for the free pasta !

Arrival and departure was great, staff was friendly and answered my questions. I was glad with my room, it was at a quiet, I only heard some noise on saturday. There is a great vibe in the common area. The only thing is that the bathroom had a lot of mold on the floor and on the wall.

I had never been to a hostel like this before my trip. I was coming to Florence to see my friend, who at the last minute said she couldn’t accomodate me. So I did some digging and stumbled upon YellowSquare online and, despite my aversion to hostels, decided to stay here. I’d been to hostels in the past, but never by myself, so I was a little skeptical as to how my experience here would play out and a bit anxious about whether I’d enjoy it.

Thankfully, I couldn’t have been more wrong. My first day at YellowSquare was the ultimate first impressions. Me and my dorm mate instantly connected and decided we’d do some socialising for the night (even if I was running on no sleep). Then, low and behold, before you know it we’ve got like a group of 11 people all from different places in the world (the diversity of people at YellowSquare was so refreshing) ready and raring to hit up Florence together and get to know eachother. I’d never experienced anything like this in other hostels I’ve been to. Every other hostel I’ve been to has been relatively lively, but YellowSquare went above and beyond with all of the facilities they offer, the cool events nights like karaoke, board games nights, workshops etc. There was something interesting going on everynight and it facilitated so much great interconnectivity been people there. It really was a pleasure to get to know the cool staff and they would happily mingle with the people staying as well which was lovely. All in all this is the best place to stay in Florence by far, especially if you wanna have fun with total strangers and establish friendships that expand beyond just the trip itself. You can make mates for life here, which is so cool!

Very social, fun activities, a rooftop pool, a nightclub and free pasta every dinner! It was amazing!

Stay was great. Employees are very friedly. Even in a room on the groundfloor due to separate doors it was silent by Night. Very clean. Best coffee and fresh crossaints for indivudial breakfast. Lovely lights outside at night and a great place for connections.

It was good. The bedroom is very clean also the bathroom (for me is the most important thing)

It felt like a 5 star hotel mixed with summer camp fun. Rooftop pool, restaurant and bar were amazing amenities and the rooms were spotless and quiet. The activities and high energy in the common areas were a good boost of moral even on rainy or cold days. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The best hostel i have stayed at.

Really clean, comfortable place! Free pasta every night which was awesome! Just really bad wifi, I had to use a lot of my eSIM which costs money so that kinda sucked:((

It was one of the finest hostels I have stayed in Italy. However, I could not say the same for Yellow Square Milan. At Florence, I truly enjoyed the vibe, energy, and infrastructure of the place, which was very well maintained.

My friend and I stayed in all-female room and it couldn’t have gone better! These are the things that were particularly appreciated & useful to us:

1) Safe and secure! You needed your room card to access several doors and hallways to get to your room. There were always staff around and they were super welcoming, friendly and approachable. The rooms had standing lockers for each bed to lock your bags in (we had 40L hiking packs that fit, but other girls in our room weren’t able to fit their hard suitcases in them)
2) Rooftop pool & patio! This is what really won us over in booking here. The pool was really cold (it was April) but rooftop was gorgeous; good views, chairs, loungers and tables, and showers right inside the door.
3) Proximity to downtown! Train stop right down the street, only a few stops away from downtown streets, and many trees, shops and stores all around.
4) Super clean! They had cleaners come in every morning to clean the bathroom in our room. They also provided hand soap, shampoo, body wash and toilet paper.
5) Laundry machines in the basement! It was SO convenient having in the same building, it was a few euros per load but they were quite large and also included detergent
6) Large communal kitchen! Stocked with plates, cups, mugs, utensils and cleaning supplies (also large fridges & shelf space)
7)FREE pasta every night! You just need to make sure you get in line on time to ensure you get some as they’d run out quickly.
8) Wonderful roommates! This was probably more by chance but we were roomed with other women who were our age or older (25+). They were all super clean, tidy, respectful, quiet, and we all went to sleep before midnight. We were a bit worried apon arrival since the hostel seemed to have a large, younger, party-crowd with events every night. We all got along wonderfully and made some genuine & lovely friendships and connections.
9) Comfy beds and air conditioning! Compared to other hostels, we had great sleeps, the beds were comfy, and the room felt really cool at night while sleeping (it got quite hot during the day). While there were often people up late outside partying and talking, the noise was never an issue for us and the building did have ‘quiet hours’ each night.

Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it! Location was great and I loved how many events there were going on, even though I only attended the karaoke night. Facilities were clean and in great shape.

I had a great time there, also the group activities were so interesting. It is a nice place to stay, definitely.

The staff was friendly, the food was good (we had breakfast once). The facilities were good and the common space was lively and fun. We didn’t do any of the organized activities so I can’t speak on those. Overall we had a nice experience and I wouldn’t mind coming back someday!
