Unprofessional behavior!
Right now I’m in the hostel. I have booked a bed for 10 nights. The receptionist told me that she “will not allow” me to stay in my room since I “have to” change the room!!! So I should check out at 10 am and stay in the lobby until 3 pm that I could check in for the new room!!! I have booked a bed for 10 nights and changing room doesn’t make sense. If it was changing room because of the extension it would make sense.

I’m adding this today (12th of January 2023). Another unprofessional behavior! I’m so sorry for this management! I asked the receptionist to extend my stay at the hostel and they told me we cannot do this. So I was supposed that I maybe can book a bed online but the receptionist told me that they will reject my booking. I have reported this absolute unprofessional behavior to the headquarter and I hope they will respond me about the reason! Definitely I should report this to the council. It’s so weird!!!

I have written this on the google review as well and I know that you don’t care! I know it because I sent an email to the headquarters and I didn’t get any response! So I’m so sorry for the management in the Florence branch!

Vibrant colours, great design, a fun-looking social programme and lovely staff – this hostel was a real treat to stay in. Would definitely stay here again. It’s nice to be a little outside the centre of Florence, as it’s a little more relaxed- and in a good little neighbourhood with all the local shops and eateries you need.

Very friendly atmosphere, clean and full of fun activities!

I would have paid 20 instead of 30 but the overall atmosphere was really cool ! Same for the cocktails, although we had discounts I feel like 6,80 for a cocktail was a lot.
Also I had a lock on me which was nice but maybe it could be cool to warn the guests that a lock is required for the lockers, I don’t remember seeing it on my booking confirmation or anything. Thank you for everything though!!!

Great experience overall: I had a comfortable stay without any problems, enjoyed the services and some of the organized events, and got to meet some interesting fellow travelers, so I would stay YellowSquare definitely added something positive to my Florence trip and memories.

The rooms where very big and confortable. Nice Lobby and amazig atmosphere fore backpackers or youth.

So surprised to see such a beautiful building as a hostel.
Location was great, 5 min walk to the tram or 20 minute walk in to town which I felt safe to do as a female traveller.
The accommodation felt new and had everything to make your stay comfortable. Personal safes a reading light and a socket inside your bunk space, dedicated lockers. Plenty pegs and hangers for storing things. Lots of mirrors and the ensuite was great incorporating a double sink so the space could be shared with other lodgers.
My key card kept needing reset so that was a bit inconvenient

The hostel was very clean and staff was great.

I stay in a 4-female room and my espero was the best!

There is a bar/restaurant in the ground floor and they make activities every night that helps a lot to meet people and enjoy the night

The environment is very nice, with cool people and a bar. The rooms and beds are also very confortable.

I was in room 108. The shower in the bathroom did not have proper pressure. Water was coming out at very low pressure. Just because the bathroom door open outwards, the water was coming out to the room.
Otherwise good room space , bed and staff.

It was amazing to be at Yellow Square. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially, Mili and Jo jo. The rooms were cleans and tidy and all the facilities were provided.

I had very nice memories over there. Hostel is really nice place to meet people and have good rest. Thank you very much.

I loved staying at yellow square, one of the best in town, the management was friendly and rooms were clean. Everything was perfect 10/10

First time in a hostel experience was fantastic thanks to those at YellowSquare Florence. An extremely friendly staff greeted us at the door on our way in and out; we arrived to a clean and tidy space and room with staff around 24/7 to help with all of our needs.

The staff was amazing and the place was great for our students. It was tough at first not having heat in the afternoons but the team then made sure I did. Thanks so much!!!
I wish we would have been there for the viewing of the final world cup game! I bet it was amazing!

It’s good to stay there for a few days or long stay

This is a very noisy hostel. Don’t go there for sleep. Some people are there long term and are treating the rooms as if they lived alone. Having chats or work conversations and lights on way past 1am or more, then going through their lockers till 6am. At 6am traffic starts and the noisy people finally get to bed and starts snoring, then people start getting up. They also have a club and a bar which you can hear from your room and there are people having loud chats in the garden until early hours of the morning. I was wearing earplugs during my whole stay and could still hear all this commotion. I complained to one of the people at reception and was told : ‘it’s a party hostel’ as a lousy excuse.

The property is super nice, its pretty its clean ad you always feel safe. the staff are really nice

Excellent hostel! All the staff was incredibly helpful and kind, and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Rooms were very clean, and the facilities too.

There offer engaging activities almost everyday, the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful

I really enjoy my time at your hostel, the staff was super nice and helpful. The room looked really nice and the others who stayed there were super open.
I loved the free beer ticket we got after checking in, I feel like that that encourages you to go to the bar in the hostel at the evening and socials with all the other people.

Yellowsquare is a great place to stay if you like partying, making friends from all over the world and have clean dorms with private bathroom. There are still things to improve, the quality of activities and the dissociation of different places : party, chill, sleep ect.

The room was cozy and comfortable. In the common areas I felt home: the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Great food and drinks (with very accessibile prices). Just really perfect.

the hostel was amazing. clean, quiet, nice people, with a nice bar and kitchen and a lot of activities. It is not that close to the city, but the tram station is very close and in 10 minutes you are in the city center

I was lucky the only roommate is quiet,and second day i check out early,room is new. Very good experience for short Stay.

It was one of the best hostels I’ve ever been! It has a cool and young vibe and always has something to do during the afternoon and night, so, you never feel alone! And they have options of great and cheap breakfast ate the bar downstairs! The bedrooms are comfortable and clean! The staff is so kind! So, what are you waiting for? Just do your reservation, I bet you’re not going to regret it!

The right place to stay and make friends while traveling backpack mode

All in all a nice experience. The staff was very friendly when we arrived. We came back only in the night to pick up our keys. The person working at the reception at that time was not really helpful: we asked for bigger blankets as it was very cold in the room and as it appeared there were not enough of them for all guests.. Apart from that – everything was clean, stylish and cosy. 🙂
