YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
Great hostel. Not as social as I thought. People tend to come in groups. Far from the centre
Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Wasn’t very many places to sit and relax besides in rooms. Would been nice if there was a quiet lounge area to sit. Food and drinks were good, fairly good prices. Wifi was really bad in rooms. Metal beds were loud and noisy.
I found not juat hostel, i found Friends and i felt comfortable for all the vacation.
The team is super helpful and friendly. Cool environment, a nice short walk to tourist attractions. Train is also accessible. They actually made a map legend to guide us which I think is a brilliant idea.
The staff is super nice. They have every night an event which really helps to connect. The rooms were clean. You only couldn’t lock the bathroom door and the washing machine wasn’t installed yet. On the othe side they also have a community kitchen and cheap coffee.
I stayed 2 weeks at the hostel because I was doing a course and everything was great! The hostel is exactly like the pictures, the pool is great, the staff very friendly. Before arriving I had seen some comments about the issues with the showers drains but I confirmed before getting there and all of them have been renovated. I had no issues with that. Also, I loved how organized the hostel is with the allocation of bed per person… that way there is no “fighting” over a lower bunk bed when someone leaves! Had such a good experience I stayed on the same in Milan… would definitely recommend it to anyone and come back!
I am an Erasmus student and when I arrived to Florence I didn’t had a permanent place yet, so I booked two weeks with YellowSquare Florence in order to have some time. Usually people don’t stay for that long in these kind of hostels so I was a little worried that it wouldn’t have the conditions for such a long stay. I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience. As a student who came alone to a new citiy, I felt so welcomed by everyone in the staff, they were ready to help me with anything, always with the nicest attitude. My dorm and bathroom were cleaned, the kitchen was big enough to cook and the overall conditions of the hostel are very good. The fact that they had events and activities everyday really helped me not to feel so alone, I met so many people in them! To end this long review, I’m very thankfull for the way I was treated in Yellowsquare and I would 100% recommend it to someone who’s planning on visiting the beautifull city of Florence. 🙂
This is one of the hostels I have stayed at and I have travelled ALOT!
Great hostel in general, especially if you prefer more of a bigger hostel with a bar and party vibes
Staying at the YellowSquare Firenze was one of the best choices I have ever made. It was near to all the spots I wanted to go to, including coming and going to and fro Firenze SMN train station.
Epi was the one who helped me check in and he was the absolute sweetest! I brought with me a power adaptor so that I could use my charger (I’m from Singapore and the plugs are different there) but the power adaptor didnt work, so Epi gave me the hostel’s charger to use and to keep, even after I insisted that I buy it from the hostel!
Amenities are great, food is wonderful and the events they held there were fun! A great way to meet new people! If you’re ever coming down to Florence, YellowSquare is where you need to be!
I thought the hostel was a nice, good address to have a good time in Florence but it was horrible! I couldn’t sleep more than 2 hours because the bar was so loud and people were partying everywhere until 5 am. The bad room was gross and there were no possibilities to change in private so I needed to lay my clothes on the toilette.
The entire building was clean and well maintained.
I felt like my belongings were safe the entire time. I wish they had curtains for the beds as there’s a rode there. Also the beds are made out of aluminum or something so they make a lot of noise.
I stayed for 4 Nights at Yellow Square in Florence.
I thought the price per night was very high beforehand but I realized during my stay that it was worth every penny. staff was always there and always super friendly. The bar right in the entrance was fantastic, people (travellers and staff) were there at all times. everything was great, super clean! The pool was beautiful, the kitchen for cooking yourself was also totally well equipped and clean. there was a great range of programs every day. The atmosphere was fantastic!
A brand new hostel, with many activities offered every day. It has different rooms, each of them with a specific purpose. I got to work in the meeting room, without being disturbed. The cuisine is excellent and the staff is always ready to help you.
Everybody was kind and everything was very clean
Super nice hostel, everything is nice and luxury here! Seems the hostel just opened. Staff is very helpful and smiling people. Good job!
I truly appreciate that there was an event happening at the hostel every night. The location of the hostel seemed quite bad on first impression as the way to the city center involves quite a lot of traffic but in the end the location was actually quite alright as there was good access to the tram. The staff was decently friendly and everything was clean. Overall a good experience, but the missing washing machines where disappointing.
Really nice hostel.
Very friendly staff.
Rooms and facilities new.
Nice rooftop + pool, great vibe
Convenient location
I really liked the place and the facilities were good (breakfast was great). Although I didn’t attend any of the extra activities, I thought it was really fun that they were organised. On the downside though, we had to share one shower with eight people. Maybe there were other (communal) showers, but then I’d suggest putting up a sign on the bathroom door, telling you where to go for extra showers. Another thing was that I couldn’t really find a good place to have a phone call without disturbing anyone of being disturbed. The communal area was really loud, and in the meeting rooms people tried to work. Eventually I settled for outside, but that wasn’t great either. So maybe you can create a space where people can talk/have phone calls in peace, without having to disturb others or being disturbed (by e.g. loud music or one of those activities). That would be great.
So overall I really liked this hostel and it has definitely been my favourite of all the hostels I have attended lately (I’m travelling Europe for a month, so I’ve experienced quite some hostels by now). It has a few minor improvement points, but a hostel doesn’t have to be perfect 🙂
Was really great. I love the beds.
I came to stay here for a conference that I had to be in Fiesole for every morning at 9 am. This was not the ideal place to stay, I would have loved this environment had I been just on a holiday but that was my fault rather than the hostel! The staff was super lovely and the place brand new, just chose wrong for purpose of trip.
Lovely facilities, freidbly staff, cute vibes. Nice food from the kitchen with affordable prices. Cute rooftop bar and never went in the club, but had lots of activities all week
The only thing I can complain is that beds have metal everywhere so you feel in a cage that sounds like it every time you barely touch it
clean room, friednly staff, nice openminded people, cool activities
As a solo female traveler, this accommodation was wonderful. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was clean, organized, and well thought-out. The social atmosphere here was very comfortable, accepting, friendly, and fun. The bar/cafe staff was great. Check-out was also easy. They stored my luggage after check-out until later in the day. Outdoor space was relaxing. Bonus: My taxi driver at the airport knew exactly where the Yellow Square was (must be a popular destination).
The place is amazing and the staff is so great, all the experience was really enjoyable. Will definitely stay there another time.
Great location and comfortable rooms.. overall experience wonderful. Very lively and everyone so entergetic. Just loved their involvement. Highly recommend and if ever back will stay again. Very very good..
i stayed at yellowsquare florence in two separate bookings on two separate days. the second visit was extremely streamlined as i basically needed a bed for the day in between my travels. the amenities were great. rooftop pool beautiful. the restaurant didnt offer any gluten free options but the coffee and cocktails were superb. the location was very easily accessible from the airport and also into city centre. when i go to florence i know i can rely on the space and amenities at yellowsquare. thank you all for your help during my visit.
For a hostel, it’s really great !
There is bar, pool, club. So even more than everything you need.
If you like to party it will be your perfect place.
If you dont, you’ll still enjoy the bar and the dorm.
Staff is really great
Everything was so so good! The vibe with this hostel is so nice!! I really enjoyed a lot, the rooms was so nice and clean! The staff so nice also!
Going to this hostel was one of the best experiences I ever had. Being in a place close to the center while it is designed beautifully and clean is something rare. From the moment I got there the crew was extremely nice and always willing to help. They organized activities for us like karaoke night, a pool party and trivia night which helped meeting amazing friends for the journey and for life. Being there feels completely safe thanks to the fact that each individual has a locker, a safe box. The bathrooms are supper clean, the locks work perfectly and it is one per room so you have privacy.
If you like clubbing but don’t like walking at night then don’t worry because there is a club as well as a bar and even a community kitchen if you want to prepare your food. By the minute you get there you feel as if you’ve known the people for a while already, the vibes are great and you enjoy an amazing vacation thanks to the amazing crew who cares so much and the guests who are open for meeting people.
Amazing COstumer experience, everyone is really client focused, the room really good.
The stay at the YellowSquare Hotel was great. The cleanliness is 10. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. Good space to rest, no noise. It is not in the city centre, but it is easily accessible and it is no problem to walk. I would definitely come back. I recommend it 100%. The staff working in the hotel are generally young and very friendly.
I loved my stay at the yellow in florence. One year ago i stayed in the yellow square in rome and when i saw there was one in florence i wanted to go there aswell. And it did not dissapoint. The new building was clean and the rooms were really nice and spacious. I loved the Rooftop terace and it was easy to meet new people considering the activities they had going on every day. I also really enjoyed the food options the offered.
I quite enjoyed my stay in the Florence Yellowsquare. It is definitely a place I would recommend to my friends who are thinking of visiting Florence. The location is close to the city centre either by tram or walking. The staff was friendly and helpful. You get to meet a lot of nice and interesting people in the communal spaces and events.
The best you can get for the price.
