YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
It’s a nice place, I met incredible and talented people, it was a really amazing night in the hostal.
Overall, my stay was good. The staffs were welcoming at the reception and the rooms are clean.
I travelled to Florence alone, and with the cost of hotel rooms soaring I chose instead to rent a private room at Yellowsquare; it was one of the best decisions of my trip. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and inviting; the hostel was clean, hip, and lively without being “too-much” in any way.
There was a feeling of being in a college dorm in the best way possible—bright, exuberant people around at all times but not suffocating, just living their lives parallel to yours. The food at the hostel was underrated (try the Yellow Caesar or the Schiaccata Paesana) and the communal spaces tranquil and relaxed.
I will definitely be staying here and sending friends here when circumstance brings any of us to Florence, and will check out their other locations as well.
We had a great time at this hostel. The beds were comfy, the place was clean. The staff was nice!
This was an absolutely amazing hostel. I find hostels have started becoming a little pricier compared to when I started using them, so I think it’s important that they have activities available and discounts, etc and Yellowsquare def pulls through on all aspects. They even have a free pasta dinner every night. Very impressive. I wish it would have been warm enough to e joy the rooftop pool.
My niece is going to love her hand painted souvenir!! X
I was traveling alone for the first time, and this place was super nice and made me feel very safe. The front desk attendants were always incredible helpful and nice when I had a question and the hostel had multiple events every day to sign up for (like pasta making and Pictionary). My room had two locked doors in between reception and the room: one to get to the rooms on that floor and one to get into the room. There was also a bathroom inside the female only dorm which isn’t always the case with hostels so I liked that. The location was also perfect because it is less than 10 minutes from Termini which is a train station that can take you to Rome center or to the airport.
Easy check in, and the bar was pumping. The bed was slightly uncomfortable but its a hostel so no big deal
All in all the room was clean but I payed way too much money for a stay in a very small room with bunkbeds.
Even tough it was design week I think it is a bit too much for this. Apart from this it was cleanand quiet. And the staff was very friendly and helpfull.
The hostel was clean, that is the most important to me, it was comfortable, in great location, surrounded by some really good restaurants, just next to the Metro line, walkable distance to the city centre and other neighbourhoods (cca 40-50 minutes). Beautiful architecture all around. Great DJ on Friday night, friendly guests and roommates. Just good.
Only one reminder – bring your own lock for the locker. Not too big.
This was the first time I had stayed in a hostel and I couldn’t have been more lucky with YellowSquare Florence, the staff were amazing, so welcoming and friendly. The free pasta was a great perk and I made lots of friends in the common area spaces.
Unbelievable good place. People from every nation, a great welcome at reception with everything explained well and lots of free goodies and a free welcome beer. Super bar and events and parties daily.
Great great facilities and location.
Simply the best hostel in Rome!
I really liked my stay at YellowSquare in Florence. The atmosphere was great, the hostel had nice facilities, it was clean, the staff was really friendly and the organised activities were so nice as well. Especially the cooking class was something I really liked!
Had a great first experience at a hostel! Will come back again!
Good service, nice breakfast, fresh, modern and clean. The bed was a little bit hard and very noisy every night upto 12 pm. I had my room on the first floor.
everybody wad really nice and everything was so clean! I didn’t stay long but I would have liked it
My room was above the bar but I had zero noise!
Hi there,
I talk here about my great stay in Rome. During 12 days, I chose this hostel to leave my vacation and I was very pleased to meet new people everyday, improving by this way my english and my italian.
The personal was also very nice and welcoming so I truly recommand this address to have a great Time and great moments with friends. François
This was my first hostel experience, definitely would recommend this hostel.
Great hostel, very clean, kind staff, good activities,
I would very much recommend this hostel to anyone going to Florence 🙂
Good social environment, and nice Free drink. Good staff also, very kind helpful and welcoming. One of the best hostel brands in Italy.
The hostel is great, nice ambiances and pretty clean, but maybe the staff could be more friendly and give some tips about the place when we check in. Tha ladies and also the guys just asks for the paymant and gives your keycard, but nothing more than this, because of that my first and second days that were a little.
We like it very much!!!
very clean, super helpful staff. Safe and easily accessible area. I loved that there were free social events to meet other guests during the evening. Breakfast was warm, fresh and very filling.
Everyone I met was very welcoming. The bar was a nice area to spend your time after a day out in the city. The rooms were very comfortable as well. I wish they had AC on at some point but it was bearable without it.
My 4 bed, all girls room was clean; we had a full length mirror and a table, with our own modern bathroom. Friendly reception and got a free bag at checking in! 2 mins walk to the metro. One of the cleanest hostels and best value.
The hostel is located close to Termini station, it has very good transport options. The staff is very nice, and it has a lot of options to have fun with the bar across the street. There is a locker to use for storing your bags if needed.
All in all a very good Hostel. Had a nice stay and met nice people both staff and other guests. Perfect when travelling alone and looking for new people. Kitchen with fridges is perfect, but sometimes some stuff is missing. There are only two small critic points: first the air condition was not running very well and it was only April, so might be better to fix it before summer. And the air extraction in the bathroom was also not working so it was always stuffy inside.
I had an incredible experience. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They really go above and beyond to interact with the customers and made me feel very welcome. The rooms were very comfortable and loved that we had a bathroom in the room. Loved the location and the activities organized by the staff.
The staff were friendly and check in and check out was very easy. My room was clean and the location was perfect. However, I do believe my bed may have had bed bugs as several bites have appeared on my arm during the stay.
All was perfect
Great hostel with a nice atmosphere, great activities and the common areas were nice as well! The bar was just across the street and was great as well!
So many great resources available to guests, such as communal kitchen (with free food!), pool, free pasta each night, books and fun events. The staff were also so kind and accommodating.
The location was great, walking distance to everything. The hostel is near the Firmino station, clean, easy to find. My only problem was with the air conditioning that didn’t work in my room. Rome is a very hot city and the street was very noisy, so it was impossible to leave the window open at night.
I’d absolutely stay at YellowSquare in Rome or anywhere else they have one again! It was so clean, easy to navigate, had tons of activities and opportunities to meet people & was safe
We stayed in a 4 bed room with our own bathroom. It was really comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The location is calm. It is also in a really good connection to the center and every other location in Rome. The staff was nice. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the breakfast across the street.
This hostel is amazing, it has a perfect acomodation, good bar inside and location really near to trem station and bus stops. One 30min walk separates you from the center of the city, it’s really safe to do these walks inven at night. I really recommend this place.
The personal was exceptional, super nice. The room was okay, it was a good additional the safe.
The only thing is that the bathroom smelled a little bit and it was super tiny.
It was good, the staff was super friendly and attentive. Although the facilities are old, the hostel is very well organized
