We offer female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms for all types of travelers. If you need to get work done, Smartsquare is our professional coworking space. For food and social vibes, Yellow Bar is our main restaurant and events hub, while the Arcade hosts stand-up comedy and activities in the basement. It’s the perfect place to meet travellers, grab a drink, go for stroll with new friends and connect with our global community.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy, it’s super close to Rome ztermini train station, and they have a bunch of events organized for people to attend. The bar across the street was really fun and they did a good job engaging people to meet and have a good time. Water station by reception was a god send lol.
What kept this from being a 10/10: I tried reaching out a few days before arrival to get tips on the best route to get there from another city and never got a response. Pillows could be a bit bigger/thicker for better comfort and the AC could be a bit stronger.
Overall, we had a lot of fun and would stay here again.
My stay at the yellowsquare was really Nice. It was my first solo travel, and i felt so safe. Thanks to the yellow bar and the sweet staff it was so easy to meet new people. The rooms were good as well, cleaned everyday and had what was needed.
This was a great hostel. It is very much an energetic place with a party atmosphere. However, it can be what you want it to be. I found it peaceful and fine to sleep when I wasn’t wanting to have a late night in the bar, but equally when I did have more of a night out it certainly delivered. The daily activities on offer are great, and the FREE pasta every night was one of the best things. Really glad I chose to stay here, as I met some amazing people in my dorm room of whom I explored Rome with.
Couldn’t recommend more! Rooms were airconed and very clean, the staff were lovely and the check in process was very easy. YellowSquare is very close to two metro stops and is very conveniently located next to supermarkets and cafes.
Hardly any cooling in the room
Such a nice hostel. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. Situated in a good location, only a walk away from attentions and so close to the train station.glad i booked.
I had a wonderful stay at YellowSquare Rome. Its the perfect place to meet new international people, have a fun time at day and night due to the thoughtful optional activities and to explore the city from. Rooms are clean and cozy, staff is very kind, pasta is free, drinks are good. 10/10
Thught it was expensive but you are so attentive that its worth it.
The stay was really good! The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. A Highlight of the Yellowsquare ist defenitly the bar with free Pasta everyday.
The Activities were great and there was Something for everybody.
You can meet new people very easy and everybody was very nice.
Also the kitchen was really really good. They have everything you need to cook Something and also have free Pasta for you to cook and free cereal and Müsli.
I Loved my stay at the Hostel and wish i could have stayed longer :.))
The staff we very helpful whenever you needed them, very sympathetic. The activities were fun, the room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The bar across made it easier to meet with people. And the location was great too, only a few minutes walking distance from the train station! really appreciate the free earplugs and tampons.
We had the “Superior” Private Room. Superior was only the price. The only difference to the standard is the small balcony which is definitely not worth the money. The bathroom wasn´t properly cleaned when we arrived (black hairs on the floor). The small room had only one little chair and a small table. It is forbidden to bring your own beer (they like to sell it on their own bar). After we left I realized I forgot my cap in the room and gave them a call. They told me they found the cap and I should give them a detailed description or send them a photo. I asked I f they would send me the cap if i do so. The answer: “This is not a service we provide”. The only thing they are interested in is obviously that you leave your money at the place. The nights were noisy. When the party noise stopped around 5´clock in the morning the noise oft the city cleaning service emptying the glass containers began.
The place has a good location, the staff is very friendly and help you a lot. But the bed in rooms are very uncomfortable, and the bathroom was not working good. You have to push several times to get water, but this no one knows and you can imagine this sharing the toilet with 8 people! 😓
The community and facilities were great! The bar is always lovely, with different activities nearly every night. It was super easy to meet new people. The free pasta for guests was amazing! Only draw back was the lockers felt a bit small in the rooms.
I loved the vibes, the spaces, and the amenities. I was disappointed about the cleanliness of the rooms and ventilation.
Definitely recommend. Clean place, friendly staff, good facilities, good location – 35ish mins to airport.
The staff were super helpful and made me feel right at home. I’m not sure if all hostels have an iron, but they did, and it really helped me out. It is located near Termini station so it is easy access to airport.
The room was clean, check in and check out was super efficient, and all the staff were really friendly!!
was a very lovely hostel, friendly and clean 🙂
All the staff were good and room was lovely and clean, the free pasta and free drink was a nice touch too.
Never felt more safe or at home! Incredible place to stay
My stay was really pleasant. I had the chance to meet other solo travellers in both hostel and the bar-restaurant right in front of it. What I didn’t like was the mattress, quite uncomfortable and almost without filling in the middle part. Also, there was no proper curtain to get a bit of privacy in the bunker bed. If you wanted, you had to use the sheet of the mattress.
First of all the place is situated very close to the train station with is really good makes commute easy. Alot of affordable restaurants around. They also provide free pasta every day between 6-8. The room was cleaned every day which was a good thing.
Coming to the problems. The rooms were way smaller in real life when you see it personally. Every morning when i had a shower the water was ice cold and when i informed the guy at the reception he said we cant do anything about it as its the buildings problem so please manage. Which was very rude of him. Also i saw people checking in got a toad bag which was selectively not given to me which i dont know why. There were lockers for post/pre checkout to deposit luggage and use for a euro a day. As they didnt have the locker to fit my bag they just kept it with them for free which was very confusing and nonuniform treatment.
Overall the experience did not do justice to the price i paid for a dome room. I worked suggest to travel in pairs in Rome and book a room in a hotel or a hostel.
If you just need to drink and party yes this is the place.
The accommodation was very comfortable and conveniently located. It has a kitchen which was very useful and a great bar just across the street which was very nice had a great atmosphere..
Unfortunately, our stay was really uncomfortable and not suitable for somebody with accessibility needs. I was travelling with my mother (60s), and she is quite short and suffers from movement limitations and chronic pain. On the first day she took a nap on one of the single beds, which was not anchored in anyway and slid away from the wall as she was trying to get out of bed, causing her to fall between the bed and window, leading to a giant bump on her head, dizziness and confusion for days (we were only in Dublin for 5 days). This impacted the rest of her trip entirely. She also struggled with the height of the bed to get in and out of it, there was no railing and there was not enough space between between beds to support getting in and out without difficultly. The rooms are TINY. the cupboards were too high for her to access things and nothing was labelled, making it difficult for her to remember where to look with her suffering memory.
Door way into the washroom was not wide enough, and space between front door and washroom door was dismal and made it difficult to move any support equipment into the room/bathroom.
When I asked the front desk if there was a way to secure the bed, they said it wasn’t possible and told me they could give my mom ice. It took me asking more than 5 times and offering solutions before they said they could look into options but that we would have to wait until the next day so they could call in maintenance. There was no follow up, no remediation (ie, like a complimentary meal or breakfast or even just a soda), literally didn’t even ask how things were going in any capacity. And there was also no option to be reimbursed for our remaining unused nights so that we could book a hotel that was suitable for my mothers needs.
Just really disappointing.
Great rooms, great staff, affordable breakfast and bar. Great atmosphere.
The hostel really exceeded my expectations – convenient location, great vibes, friendly staff. I especially liked the various activities and events offered by the hostel – met some amazing people there who made the trip even better.
Great hostel with an amazing atmosphere, good activities and a nice location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and want to come back as soon as possible!
This hostel was perfect. I was looking for a place that was in a central location that was easy to navigate from, this hostel fit the bill exactly. It’s close enough to Roma Termini that I was able to travel around Rome (and elsewhere) very easily. I was a little concerned about the noise levels as the bar is across the road but honestly you can barely hear the music from the rooms.
This is the best hostel in Rome!
We enjoyed so much at this hostel. The staff here are so warm and welcoming. All the services were really nice and up to the mark.
We had a wonderful five-night stay at Yellowsquare Rome. It was easy to find, just a short walk from Roma Termini station. There were three of us in a four-person bedroom located next to the bar. The room was clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfy. The place also has laundry, a co-working space, and a bar, plus it’s near grocery stores and restaurants. The staff is friendly, helpful, and multilingual.
There was just one small downside: the noise from the bar could be heard in our room until around 1 or 2 AM, which might be a bit disruptive if you’re hoping for a quiet night’s sleep. Overall, though, our stay was fantastic.
Clean. Safe. Nice atmosphere. Staff were really lovely. Free nachos and Pasta for dinner which were pretty good. Has a lift which is nice if you’re too tired for the stairs. Only a short walk from Roma Termini which is super handy. Plenty of opportunities to meet other travelers in the chill-out room, kitchen, bar, reception area, etc. Great showers. Good restaurants only a few meters away. Probably more suited to a twenty-something traveler, but I met a lot of really nice people.
The experience, attention, and service they offer are truly excellent. I felt safe the entire time. The room and bathroom were always clean. There was access to the kitchen, refrigerator, paid laundry, discounts at the bar, free dinner, and an excellent atmosphere. Without a doubt, I’ll stay there again when I return to Rome
