Everything was really nice
Bathrooms are great
The bedroom are great too
I was struggling to find accomodation for the night in Rome. Someone suggested YellowSquare. The lady on the desk said it was a party hostel. I did not mind though at 68 I am past partying. There were no problems at all. Great stay.
Great place, good location and handy to Termini.
Great Atmosphere, amazing for solo travelers. Everything you need is there – social life, events are wonderfully organized. I can fully recommend!
I think I realized I’m just too old for these type of party hostels. It was hard to find any quiet spaces. Room was noisy, common areas were loud and crowded. It was difficult to get sleep at night because of people coming back from parties and people sleeping through alarms. Its nothing on the hostel. Maybe on check in explaining how the workspace area worked or recomending local places wouldve been helpful. Staff were great, I just think Im not the demographic for a party hostel.
All services excellent
This was my second stay at a YellowSquare property, and while my first experience in Florence was excellent, my recent visit to the Rome location was absolutely infuriating beyond words.
I contacted the administration two weeks before my arrival to request a lower bunk, which they confirmed. Yet, when I arrived on Friday, September 19, at around 2:20 a.m., I was livid to find that another guest had taken my assigned bed. The night receptionist had the audacity to instruct me to use an upper bunk instead, which, to my utter frustration, initially lacked a pillow. This oversight was completely unacceptable and a blatant failure of basic hospitality.
The following day, I was moved to a different room (G2584, if I recall correctly), which seemed promising at first. However, that night turned into an absolute nightmare. I was in lower bed 4, and the guests in the adjacent upper bed (across from bed 3) engaged in sexual activity. This blatant violation of hostel rules made it impossible for me to sleep. When I reported the incident, I was absolutely furious to hear that action would only be taken if it happened again. Management should have cracked down on this outrageous behavior immediately, issuing a strong warning or sanction to those guests.
While I do acknowledge the staff’s quick resolution of the bed mix-up, their complete failure to take decisive action against this serious rules violation left me beyond dissatisfied. Being asked to “give it another chance” is not only dismissive
Everyone so friendly and lovely, the hostel is clean and comfortable (except the upper bed) it was a wonderful experience, so sad it got over so quickly and I hope to come back soon!
I can’t believe I paid 70 euros (on one of the nights) for an 8 bed bed mixed dorm. There were no privacy curtains on the bunks, and the bathroom was tiny and cramped. The staff were really nice. The bar opposite was fine, but its a shame there is no cozy communal area within the hostel to hang out.
The hostel was very well maintained and the rooms were great. The only issue we had was the washer/dryer situation (it took our money and we didn’t get it back and then also had an issue with the washer not working) but the staff tried to help and made sure we got our clothes finished that night.
This hostel is very nice and very well equipped. The bathroom was a bit dirty so that’s annoying considering the price of the hostel. But in overall, I recommend !
I had such a pleasant experience at the YellowSquare Hostel. Everything was cleaned and organized. The hostel, the bar and every facility have a great visual communication. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Really recomended it.
Great hostel for socializing with others. Rooms were clean and it was advertised as is. The only pieces that fell short for me that were notable were the wifi was super spotty in our room and would typically not work. It made it so I had to use much more data than anticipated. Also, the laundry wasn’t working when I was there, so I had to go down the street to a laundromat. It also says it has adapters thinking they would be in each room, but they didn’t exist (they were probably in some social areas?). In summary, good overall, great for a very social experience but would have been nice to have all the features working as advertised.
I enjoyed my stay at the Yellowsquare Rome. The location was 10min from the train station and easy enough to walk or catch the metro to all the sights. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The rooms and bathroom was clean to a typical hostel standard. The bar across the road was a nice touch for socializing and getting to meet people. Would stay again.
İts a very good hostel, well organized
Best hostel I ever stayed
The hostel is very clean and social.
Definitely coming back. Bathroom was big. Beds were comfortable. A.C worked great. Everyone is so kind, it was just wonderful
comfy beds, a lot of activities, the bathrooms could be cleaned more often but still ok for a hostel 🙂
Clean, extremely social, well kept, would absolutely stay there again.
All great, except for the mold in the showers. Please fix this and you will be a 10/10. Christina at front desk super helpful.
I had a great experience at YellowSquare! The staff were really friendly and nice. I had a small issue with one of the power outlets in my room and it was fixed by that evening. The aircon was good and I really liked there was an individual safe for each bed and curtains that pulled across each bed for privacy.
Will always choose YellowSq when in Italy. Easily the best for a clean, fun and social hostel.
overall GREAT GREAT experience, all staff and travellers were super nice. also location is super convenient
The arrangement of the rooms was very cool and I loved the bar downstairs, but toilet had flushing problems and the shower was very small and impractical
When I’m coming to Rome I’m always staying there. Very nice staff . rooms are clean and there is always something to do and meet new friends.
Great facilities – very good air conditioning, bunkbeds with privacy curtain, a kitchen, a lounge type area. Across the road is the bar, in which you can receive one free drink, and daily free pasta and nachos. The hostel is really clean overall.
I think if you are not very outgoing / don’t want to be socially overwhelmed then you can still enjoy your stay at the hostel, which itself is quite private and has quieter spaces (like the lounge). However, since the bar is right opposite, it may be intimidating to socialise in such a busy loud space with alcohol. Great for anyone who loves that type of atmosphere, but otherwise it might be a bit hard to meet people.
Absolutely recommend going to the bar for breakfast – amazing deal for 3.50euro coffee and pastry!
The hostel is great. Really loved the Spaces they have and the people too.
Hostel is good located and they have good bar for hanging out. But I didn’t like the staff, they were not helpful at all. There were a girl when I was doing a check out, she was flirting with the guy there and just ignored my questions so I had to leave without my questions answered. Also, sink in the bathroom was not working.
It was such a nice atmosphere and you get to know so many people, I loved it!
Most fun I’ve ever had in my life. Staff were amazing too.
The most perfect hostel! Such a lively, social atmosphere. The rooms + facilitates were spotless. There are so many amenities, game tables, chill out spots and even their own bar! The bar was so social, such a great spot for meeting new people. Also lots of organised events. Slightly out of the way for visiting the heart of Rome, but it was such a good experience that it didn’t matter.
Great social hostel
