Clean and cute public areas and room. Great bar with a nice vibe, friendly staff, appreciated the free food and drink discount.
I booked a 6 beds female dorm but got the upgraded to a dorm of 4 which was great. I got really lucky that all the girls in my dorm arrived on the same day so we ended up getting close and enjoying Rome together.
I had an amazing stay at YellowSquare! The place was spotless and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff were absolutely fantastic friendly, helpful, and always ready to make sure everything was perfect.
What really stood out was the fun atmosphere. There were so many activities to take part in, making it easy to meet people and enjoy every moment of the stay. It truly felt like more than just accommodation it was an experience.
I left as a very happy customer and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
The staff, the services, the rooms, everything was truly excellent. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Really nice hostel , location is amazing, very clean and friendly. Thanks for everything fur sure I will be there again .
This was such a great experience, I’d love to come back. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food way exceeded expectations. Love the communal micro culture that you’ve created. Location was perfect. I had a lot of fun.
I accidentally booked the wrong date for my stay, and unfortunately the reservation was non-refundable. Even though it was my mistake, the staff showed great understanding and kindness. They took the time to look into the situation and decided to offer me a refund, which I truly appreciated.
It meant a lot to see such flexibility and care for guests. Situations like this show how much a place values people, not just policies. Thank you again for your understanding and professionalism.
Great service, great bed, great bathroom with soap, shampoo and hair dryer! Great facilities and wifi. Amazing activities and staff 🙂
The Indian man working at the bar was very rude.
All the commodities and staffs are perfect.
Receptionists and cleaners are friendly. The room was well cleaned every day.
Rooms are fine. And the bathroom is very clean and good. Staff is realy nice. Location is easy to find. After leaving here, I had to spend one night at a hostel in Naples, and that’s when I realized once again how nice this place really is. I would definitely recommend it to everyone
For the price, I kinda expected more. The breakfast was overpriced. Overall, it was fine. Nothing special.
I find here a lovely place. Also, the staff members were really nice, especially Stamm.
The bedrooms were well-equipped. The hostel is also very well located near to the subway station.
For me the best was the free pasta hour. lovely to eat realy and home-cooked pasta.
The bar staff was also nice and friendly all of them.
I liked the activities there. were interesting and fun!!1
Good hostel with good vibes in a central location
It was a very nice location. The only downside was no curtains but everyone just hung their towels up and it was fine. It did get a bit loud outside at night but wasn’t anything that kept me awake. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.
We have just stayed 3 nights in February and couldn’t fault it. Beds were super comfy, rooms were nice and dark at night, the beds did have curtains on them for privacy which i thought they wouldnt have when first researching the place. The pub/restaurant that they own across the road was very reasonably priced, was getting morning espressos for about 1 euro. All staff were friendly and helpful
Stayed at Yellowsquare for my first solo trip and it was amazing! I arrived in the middle of the night and check in was super easy, the room was great, I felt super safe, and the Yellow Bar was a great place to meet people! I would definitely recommend to any other solo travelers. Also, the day I checked out, I was able to leave my bag in a locker all day for just $0.50!
The room was fine, but it was extremely hot and the ac did not work.
Staying at YellowSquare Roma was a great experience. The dorm was clean, and the common areas were comfortable and great for meeting fellow travelers. The bar associated with the hostel was also a lot of fun and I appreciated that people staying at the hostel got discounts on drinks.
The place was great, clean and very kindly
Internet in the room was super bad, the room was old and ugly
The people were quite cool and lot of activities organized by the team. Was an amazing experience in a way! Some parts like the toilets could be much cleaner
The hostel is really nice and modern, has a lot of common areas were you can chill, work and meet people. Is really near the train station and a couple of restaurants.
Everything in general was perfect. I would just point for the cleaning.
Also the bathrooms are very small.
I unfortunately didn’t have the best experience this time around. I had an amazing time at your Florence establishment which is what prompted me to book my accommodation with you for Rome, Athens and Milan. The first thing I noticed was that the internet connection was terrible. It kept getting disconnected every couple of minutes throughout my stay, which was very frustrating. The connection was either super weak or kept getting disconnected continuously. The next thing was the bathroom. I was so pleased with the bathroom in Florence, but stepping into the one in Rome was extremely disappointing. It was super cramped up which I didn’t expect based on the pictures on your website. The shower drain also didn’t work properly forcing me to shower in a puddle every night. The bathroom was altogether a frustrating experience. I think it would be helpful if the pictures on the website were updated since part of my disappointment came from high expectations. I did expect a similar vibe to Florence, if not better, considering the rate was higher. Therefore it contributed to my disappointment and frustration with the room. The staff were lovely and I have no other complaints, I just think updated photos would be helpful 🙂
The experience was great! Our room was clean and the whole process was very smooth and easy delt with. Very affordable shared rooms and good food and drinks.
Rooms are so small, the hygiene of bathroom was really bad!!!
I was satisfied with the quality of service provided
Easy check in and check out
The room was correct, quiet and clean
The location was perfect
Towels should be free for the price of the room for night. My roommate got sick from eating the free pasta and spent the last 2 days of her trip unable to do much. Overall pretty clean hostel.
It is purely my favorite hostel
The hostel is very good located. I was in a dorm form women, which I was really happy about. I stayed 5 nights and met incredible people! The hostel organizes events daily, which were very fun! But as in any hostel, don’t forget your earplugs and sleeping mask in case you want to sleep in.
Traveling solo as a middle-age woman from the United States for the first time in Europe. And first time staying in a hostel, my experience here could not have been better. Not only was the staff welcoming and helpful, but I felt very safe. The location was perfect. There was a bar across the street with events., a Metro and a bus stop just around the corner , many restaurants that I could walk to in very close to the train terminal. I had no issues with anyone trying to pickpocket me, even walking on the street at night. I recommend this hostel to anyone.
The overall experience was really good.
I had a great experience at the hostel- met some wonderful people. The hostel stall was also very kind, helpful and supportive to tourists 🙂 Would 100% recommended
I like your atmosphere and hospitality
Worst part was definitely the location (unsafe at night). Other than that, some details like: the beds did not have curtains for privacy (had to improvise with a blanket), and furniture looked a bit old. My towel was stained, so cleanliness was also a concern. The staff was fairly helpful though, so grateful for that.
Party everyday at the bar, it was my 10th hostel of my 6 weeks eurotrip and Yellowsquare was by far the best.
Amazing vibe, very social, even on monday you had the chance to dance at the bar.
10/10 if you look for a social hostel
Gracias yellowsquare ❤️🇨🇱
It’s a great hostel with many people. The staff is all really nice and helpful. It’s clean and there’s a bunch of activities everyday. The cafe/bar across the street is also very nice. The location is okay. Close to the train station but a bit far from all major touristic attractions (all 30 min. + walk). The only downside for me was the check in/out time. Very early check out (10 am) and very late check in (3 pm). The gap in between could be shorter (ex. 11-3).
The stay was good, staff was helpful.
Overall, my stay at YellowSquare Rome was fine but nothing special. The hostel is clean and the staff are friendly, but the dorm beds don’t have curtains, which for me is a big downside. The atmosphere is very social, but at times it felt a bit forced, like the hostel is trying too hard to create a party vibe. The location is also a bit far from the historic centre, which became annoying when going back and forth. If you’re mainly looking to meet people and don’t mind less privacy or extra walking/transport, it could work, but it wasn’t quite my style.
