YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
Staff are super sweet! And know all the good spots to go out to dinner! Just had the best time!
We love the place, a very clean and beautiful space. The plus is the kitchen and bar with fair prices and very simple dishes but very tasteful!
Probably the best hostel I’ve been too! A lot of people were complaining about the distance from the hostel to the centre of Florence but there is literally a tram station a 2 min walk away from the hostel that takes 5 minutes and it runs every 5-10 minutes! Incredibly easy! The pool is a great benefit, free pasta daily! Loads of events, super social! Easy to make friends. 10/10
The place is nice , its modern and confortable . Yo have a variety of drinks and food wich is great I love that .I would be great if it had been closer to the center
Everything looked good; the room, common áreas and activities. The staff was kind and prices fair!
The rooms are clean. Toilet and shower was seperate, so that was good.
YellowSquare had great social events every night, everything was very clean, the beds were pretty comfortable. I had lost my camera after leaving the hostel and they helped ship it back to my adress!
Great people! Greta stay amazing environment
YellowSquare Florence was a really great place to stay. Everything was thought through, first time I’ve had a rail on my bed to hang my towel off! The rooms were big and clean and the atmosphere around the hostel was good. Added bonus having the roof terrace with the pool, I would 10/10 recommend YellowSquare Florence.
I think it needs something like a kitchen to save up some money. Otherside that it was nice. It always had activities. The pasta thing could habe been a little later (only americans and australians eat that early)
The whole vibe of the hostel is so welcoming. Everyone is super kind and open, and as a solo traveler you’ll fit right in and make new friends. The activities organized are great. Especially the evening ones, because as a woman alone you don’t need to leave your hostel to go out at night. You just stay at YellowSquare and join whatever they got planned for the evening.
The location is not too far from the center, with the tram, it’s doable.
The beds are a little noisy, but clean and comfortable in my opinion. Despite having some loud room mates, I slept fine.
The breakfast is definitely one of the bests I had in any hostel!
had people sneaking into my locker stuff even when lock on, broken locker, requested staff to change my room and they just mentioned it was no availability
Had the greatest time ever. Staff is great, place is clean, vibe is amazing
I loved staying in Yellow Square Florence. It was by far my favorite stay of the whole trip and I would 100% visit again. I reserved staying at Yellow Square Milan hoping to have the same expectations as Florence. It didn’t turn out that way but I loved Yellow square in Florence!!
Great stay. Easy booking and check in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good sized bathroom with towels and bedding provided (cleaned every day). Pool great with bar beside. 20% off drinks a bonus! Breakfast will set you up for a day of walking. Wide range of activities to take part in if you wish. Some noise from the disco but easily ignored.
The overall experience of YellowSquare was really good. Not a horrible location if you like to walk. All the facilities are good. Enjoyed having access to decent food, although I thought drinks could’ve been a little cheaper for a hostel.
Only negatives would be the poor water pressure and the fact the beds have rods for curtains but no curtains.
Quite frankly this place was well-overpriced while more than 1 members of the staff were reticent to lend a hand and were unsympathetic about simple requests. One would imagine that after spending nearly 400 dollars in 3 nights that this place would want to court customers. I’d be happy not to return!
Couldn’t have been any better tbh. Rooms are great, clean and modern. Vibe is great, pool is wonderful. Cheap food and coffee at the bar. 10/10 would recommend, can’t think of anything that needs changing. Close to the tram that takes you straight into the city but otherwise is only a 20-25min walk into the Centre anyway. Tick of approval for solo traveler
Ot would be nice to have multiple showers and toilets in the 6 bed dorms . Nevertheless, I had a really good experience. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was joyful!!
Great hostel, really made an effort to make sure there were social activities on all the time so it’s really easy to meet other travellers. Great pool area on the roof, perfect after a morning of exploring! Prices aren’t too bad and location is a short walk from the centre
The best place to stay in Florence if your young, social, outgoing, solo traveller or not. Fun, organized, cool, chill.
Very nice and clean, great layout, amazing pool and bar area!
This hostel has the best vibes, and all the daily activities make it super easy to meet people and have fun! The pool is so good, and the hostel facilities were all great! It’s location is a 3min tram ride away from the main station, it’s also walkable if you want to.
Would absolutely recommend staying here!
Comfy bed, clean, AC, nice pool, good bars and extracurricular activities. Friendly staff was always helpful and let me practice il mio italiano 😘
A little expensive but VERY fun and conveniently located place to stay. The pool was great in the summer heat.
Can’t get over how nice the staff are here! The Hostel is so clean and gorgeous aswell, and the pool does not disappoint. Shoutout to Laurie, Juliette, and Thomas! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Florence
My favourite hostel yet. Staff are amazing, facilities are amazing, clean, spacious rooms, great vibes
This hostel was perfect for our stay in Florence. It is just a 2 minute walk to the tram that takes you to the city centre and train station. The room was clean and supplied towels and soap. The facilities were great, with a rooftop bar and pool, cafe, and many free events going on. The staff were all super friendly and helpful with everything we need. Would recommend for young travellers.
Hostel was clean and quiet. AC worked very well.
It was so nice to be welcomed this kindly ! The rooftop swimming pool really improved our experience as well as the nice patio and the great quality of their food and drinking service !
The hostel was great, good location, great facilities, lovely people. Can’t recommend it enough.
I had such a good time here. The facilities are top, the bars and the pool were great, and the staff were so sweet, welcoming and helpful. I thought the location would be worse than it was. Theres a tram super nearby, and if you’re not carrying a ton of luggage you can walk to the city. I was impressed by the restaurants nearby the hostel.
Staff were incredible and all so lovely, we did the karaoke in the bar and had an amazing time, the breakfast options in the morning were so cheap but incredible! Highly recommend
It was so great! Everyone very kind!
Yellowsquare is an amazing place to go as a solo traveler because of how open everyone is to making new friends. My favorite activity’s were the mixology class taught by Johnny, the arts and crafts and the Karaoke. In addition to being an amazing place solo traveling it is also very welcoming to larger groups too! Definitely my favorite hostel so far.
The hostel is very fun and lively. I enjoyed the breakfast, the beds were comfy and clean, there was a fun night life, great outdoor and indoor seating areas, and the staff were super friendly. However, there seemed to be bit of a mosquito problem as 2 members of my party had to be moved out of their original room due to being excessively bitten (the staff was very nice about this), as well as the shower smelled like urine. Overall this hostel felt very safe and I would definitely check out the other Yellow Square Hostels in different cities!
Really great hostel experience. Beds were great/ clean rooms and bathroom. The staff was so welcoming and nice. Also the people I met were all friendly and we ended up all hanging out with each other.
Love the free first drink. Lobby and outdoor seating was comfortable and perfect place to relax after traveling.
Bad things: I do wish it were in the city center. It can be a long walk back at night.
One night the mosquitoes were soooo bad in one of the rooms I stayed in. I couldnt sleep. I ended up changing rooms where this wasn’t a problem.
Pool could be cleaner
