YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
This only the second hostel to stay in and was impressed at how organized and accommodating they were.
A lot of space in the rooms.
The first floor common area is specious and clean. The staff was upbeat and helpful.
The roof deck and pool was an added bonus.
Very clean, friendly, good vibe
The friendliness place I have stayed in for a while. The staff were highly inclusive and the events they organized in the evenings were great for solo travelers to connect and make some traveling friends! The room was very clean and quiet. Loved the coffee in the morning too at a great price!
Its ouer first experience with yellow hostel. We came as familiy with to youngsters (16 and 19). The atmosphare ist very friendly and all the people are respectful.
This location had the coolest vibes! We played Pictionary the first night and met some great people. Bar and kitchen was delicious. Rooms were clean, pillows maybe a little flat. But otherwise 10/10 would stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Facilities were very good, loved the bar and specially the rooftop terrace. Rooms were also good. Easy to meet people and lots of activities to do!
The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and lively in the lobby.
The kitchen is well equipped the rooms are nice. It was really easy to connect to other guests and I felt very “at home”
The events for folks to take part in and the volunteers and staff are absolutely amazing. There’s no shortage of people to talk to and the environment absolutely encourages it
I overall enjoyed my stay. It was clean and comfortable, though the first night it was a bit too loud too late into the night for me. It was a pleasant stay with friendly staff and even a free drink, which was nice. I forgot a couple things after checking out though, and while the staff was friendly and said they checked for my missing items when I emailed them, I have a feeling they either didn’t actually check or someone took my things, as they said they couldn’t find them, which was a big bummer. Other than that it was a pretty decent value.
The location is very good, close enough to the center but also remote enough to relax. The Hostel was very clean and well maintained. There were several events and the pool on the rooftop was perfect to cool down a bit in the afternoon. Also there was free pasta everyday for dinner, I didn’t came to try it but I think it’s very nice to offer.
I loved how they stored your bags for free before check in time, and offered lockers for 1 euro after check out. They also let me back in my room after check out to get my chapstick (which they definitely didn’t have to do). They had a lot of activities going on too, which looked cool but I didn’t actually participate (busy schedule).
Downsides: there was no free towel and no lock on the locker (bring your own)
The infrastructure in the hostel overall was good.
Unfortunately there was a club night, which made it impossible to sleep in my room due to the music.
Hostel was a bit pricey however it was well and truly worth it and I had booked last minute. The hostel is new and modern and the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooftop bar and pool is a bonus. Plus everybody gets a free beer coupon and 20% off drinks. Was also only a 20 minute walk into the city which was fine.
Really great atmosphere, pool was amazing, lots of activities and encouragement to get involved. Hostel was very clean and functional and staff were amazing
Lovely stay at YellowSquare. The hostel was clean and stayed clean throughout the day. Helpful staff and amazing service from all of them. My bed was comfortable
The hostel was very nice, modern, and social. I found it a bit hard to meet people because it was so big but nevertheless it was a very nice place
I must say this accommodation where we stayed was really nice, they were clean and tidy and very close to tram stations i can recommend this to anyone coming to Italy
Our stay in Florence was wonderful and we can’t wait to come back! The facilities are amazing and unlike any other hostel. The only downfall is that it is a little bit out of the way, but you’re so close to the tram it really doesn’t matter. Coming back ASAP!!
Everything was great, the room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was helpful, the events were lots of fun
I don’t use tumble dryers to dry my clothes – I air dry. It would help if there were a place outside where I could hang my laundry to dry but not in direct sunlight.
You could get me to DJ and then your music policy would be improved =;-p
Every little detail in this hostel has been considered. Great value for money and had the best experiences within the hostel.
The facilités are great, the staff IS really nice, the hostel is near the tram so you get to the centre easily
Perfect!
The room and bathroom were clean. It is a good location from the bus stop but can be a far walk from things like the academia gallery. The activates with other guests are fun. The room lockers need a personal lock and do not lock with your keycard.
The atmosphere at the hostel was incredible, with the bar, the free drink to make people get together. It was organized and client oriented, all the infrastructure was perfect with lockers, plugs, towels.
Thanks for everything, you made my stay in Firenze beautiful !
Sanitary conditions could be improved, especially the quilts!
It was such a great atmosphere. The staff felt like friends and were helpful all time. Its very modern and clean. The hostel offers everything you need – a great bar, a club, activities, a rooftop pool, a well sorted community kitchen. There are a lot of food options nearby.
Its a 20 min walk to the city center, but there is a tram station 2 min away.
Nice stay as always in a yellowsquare hostel. Good facilities, friendly staff.
I had a great first experience in a hostel. The location, facilities, staff& activities were all top notch! I can definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!
This hostel has an excellent localization, a lot a activities to do at night, free welcome drink.
Loved the overall accommodations and friendliness of the staff. There was a camera in the all female dorm bathroom, which is highly inappropriate and none of us had prior warning it would be in there. Doesn’t cover the toilet or shower stalls, but still very inappropriate when that is a room women change clothes in. Almost slipped onto the floor because I was wearing socks climbing down the bunk ladder. Had to either go barefoot or wear shoes to climb up and down safely. It’s a 15 minute walk from the train station, and the oath to get to the hostel isn’t good for rolling luggage. It’s a minimum 15 minute walk to get to the main part of the city, and about 25 minutes to get to the Uffizi. Wear comfortable shoes if you aren’t going to use the bus to get back and forth.
Great rooms and a perfect lounging atmosphere
Good, clean hostel with opportunity to engage in a lot of activities. Handy to have breakfast opportunities especially before heading off on day tours.
Really clean, nice facilities, events and a rooftop pool! Felt more like I was on holiday than anywhere else I’ve stayed
