YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
very friendly everyone there. I was traveling alone but i didn’t feel alone at any moment.
Got a free beer coupon upon checkin which was nice and unexpected. The room was very clean and comfortable, aside from the humidity in the room. The temperature was surprising considered we stayed in November, which wasn’t a hot time. Running the AC made that go away, we just didn’t want to have to continuously run it. That was probably my only complaint about the room though. I’d happily stay here again.
Breakfast was poor. Bacon undercooked and eggs overcooked. Other dishes were bland.
Hostel room was nice but curtains on the beds would be good.
Love the option of the privacy curtain. Staff was very nice, the bathroom as clean and so was the room. Appreciate the lockers as well and the option to lock them.
Yellowsquare Roma was everything I could have wanted and more in a first hostel experience. The staff were so friendly and actually interested in conversing with you. The scene is young, social and lively. I made friends within the first night and always had someone to talk to or do something with. I would return in a heartbeat!
Short but nice stay! Very friendly staff. Super clean room. We’ll come back!
ok to stay in rooms are good check in us 3pm which in my mind is way to late
Nice place for a solo traveller. They have many activities .
Everyone who worked reception was extremely friendly. The bar was super cool and the lower prices with the wristbands really made it worth it to go every night! While there a part of our shower broke and maintenance was super quick to come fix it. The place was super clean and well-kept. Overall, my experience was amazing and I will definitely be staying with YellowSquare again if I’m ever in town.
It was very clean and modern. Staff was very friendly. And overall experience was really nice
I enjoyed my days in the hostel. The only thing I did not know was that the lockers do not have locks so I had to buy one on the city. The location is perfect, well comunicated to the city centre, train station and the airport.
YellowSquare was great! It is near the train station and the walk to the city centre is not bad. The shared spaces are nice and well kept. The dorms and bathrooms are good. Access to the bar across the street is a nice touch as well.
The yellowsquare rome is perfectly located, we could go everywhere easily by bus or metro. The hostel has different activities every night, it’s great for meeting other people. We would like to compliment Sabrina (from the reception), she was very welcoming and made us feel like home!
So clean, amazing staff, best hostel I’ve ever stayed in
It’s like a 4 star hotel
The Hostel is very good, it has good location, and the staff has a good customer service.
I love the events there, so you meet a lot of new people and have fun. The cleanliness is also very good, which is something also important in most of hostels where it’s dirty. And it’s quite close to the city center by tram just 2 stops or if you have the chance to go for a running from the hostel, you’d be surprised how close we are from the main places
Dynamic, cheerful, lot of space both for leisure and work, nice food, wonderful stuff
i loved it here
We had a fantastic stay. The place is clean and has all the required facilities such as a cafe, rooftop pool, laundry room and a storage area. The staff is also very helpful and nice. I will definitely be staying here again and will also recommend it to other people.
We had booked the room for 1 night and were to move to a different hotel due to non availability at the time of booking, it was our honeymoon and no ‘better’ rooms than the private ones are available so an upgrade was refused however upon checkin we asked the receptionist is the room nice as it’s a special occasion we were straight away told we are sold out so this is all you can have. The room was one level below the reception. The room and bathroom was dusty we cleaned the towel rack woh tissue and it was black with dust, there was extreme noise of music past midnight disturbing the ones who are not using the dorms or are students which was very inconvenient as it seemed like the hotel catered to mostly the crowd of students. The rooms have no sound proof as well. If guests haven’t booked the dorms and you claim to be a hotel room basic amenities should be provided toothbrush and water or instant coffee not a machine, like the rooms doesn’t have a cupboard or a tv, if I book a dorm and that’s the style of the hotel then it’s fine but for guests with private rooms it is not the best. The ladies serving breakfasts and coffee were nice.
Good facilities and friendly staff. Great layout, and a cool nightclub area. Water pressure for the shower was a quite low but you work with it. A little bit of a walk to the station and the main square but it is fine for the most part. Definitely worth a stay.
The accommodation was very clean and complete with more than the stuff necessary to make your staying as comfy as possible.
The place was very beautiful the pool was clean and nice.
Very near by the main tram stop.
We had breakfast included and honestly was very good and complete!
Staff was super helpful and nice.
All facilities that one might need were present, the location was good and the staff was excellent
Great staff and place
Nice place, nice people, good venue
Really one of the best hostels ive been on europe
Terrific hostel in every aspect!
I was so happy with the hostel itself, everything was taken care of to provide smooth service for a lot of beds and bring people together with sociable events. The free drink was a great touch, and the cafe was nice for breakfast.
The only thing that really disappointed me was the staff inability to help me book a wine tour. J had started asking when I made the booking.and got nothing, I then asked 4 different staff members individually and still got nothing.
I couldn’t work out if it was the hostel policy to not advise on tours or just wasn’t willing to help.
I had such a short time in Florence and paid more to stay in the private room of the hostel because I have utter faith in hostel staff always going above and beyond to recommend anything other than “get your guide”. The answers were always “I’m not from here” “I’m new here” “try get your guide” and it just took away from the overall time I had in Florence.
I would far rather the hostel selle the tour and make commission than not allow me to do the tour.
Very good experience! Super nice people, felt very welcome and safe. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The theme evenings were a hit. I will for sure be recommending!
This is a great place to stay where you can meet others drink and party, the beds are fine and they have so much to offer. It’s not far from the main section of Florence and staff will help as much as they can.
Good experience with this hostel.
The only thing is that it is loud on Saturdays in some rooms because of the party in the entrance area. And there was only a little pressure of water in the shower. But all in all it was a totally good stay.
The hostel is amazing. The only thing is not good is localization. For the centrum is 30 minutes walking
The hostel was amazing, everything was clean, excellent staff and activities, breakfast quite enough and good. I really star here again and recommend it.
Placed in room 101 right next to the bar. People screaming laughing and drinking into 3am. Bar music 3am. Could not sleep
