YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
The staff is super kind and helpful. The hostel is close to termini station which is great cuz termini can get you anywhere! Also the Yellowsquare bar is so much fun and it’s across the street so if you wanna have a quick drink (alone as a girl) it’s super easy to go there and get back to your hostel safely! They have activities each day I wish I joined for more but I was busy discovering the city with the friends I’ve made during my stay. If I ever find myself staying in Rome again, I’ll be at Yellowsquare for sure!✨♥️
Yellowsquare Rome was incredible. Had such a fun time there. The location is perfect, the facilities within the hostel are so easy to use and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Have already recommended it to friends and will 100% be back.
The rooms were comfortable and the service was very good overall. It’s a hostel, so despite the fact that it offers a lot of activities, I didn’t feel welcome. There aren’t many common areas. People barely interact with each other, and to get to my room, I had to leave the hostel and cross the street. It felt like I was renting an apartment. It might be fine for going with friends, but it wasn’t a great experience alone. The location isn’t bad, but it’s far from the center.
It’s okay, except there are no curtains on the beds so you feel a bit “exposed” and also you need to bring your own lock for the locker in the room. Also in the showers there is no shelf to put any belongings. Everything else absolutely fine and acceptable.
It was an amazing experience staying there, the rooms and beds were clean, the staff could speak well English and we’re super friendly. Also they had events every night which made this stay even more fun!
The place was very well located, the common areas were quite good. Checking in was easy. The rooms were clean and having a semi-private bathroom was good. Being able to have a place to share with friends and other people in the restaurant/pub/game room was what I highlighted most about the experience. The vibes of the place were very good.
everything was clean and the staff was really friendly. There are a lot of events and you have privacy in the common rooms, because you can use extra beddings as curtains. It’s got everything you’d want. But there are a lot of people! The shower in our room had basically no water pressure but the showers an fourth floor were better.
Location is good, but you need 20-25 min to walk into the city centre
Everything was perfect! I’ve stayed in all 3 yellowsquares, and you guys are the best!
great start, fun activities, little bit far from the centre but that okay because it just vibes jou a nice walk around the city. we met so many nice people through the organised games and the club down is also very fun. also the free pasta was great
I’ve had an amazing experience at yellowsquare rome. I was solo traveling for the first time and super scared I wouldn’t be able to make friends but I met so many incredible people as soon as I walked into the reception!
The yellow bar was also super fun and the staff is amazing. I can’t wait to go back!
great, clean hostel! Loved the many community rooms/ chill areas as well as the free pasta!
I had such a great time! All the activities made it very easy to meet other travellers. I can’t wait to go back.
We booked a private room for one night in Florence and had a great time. It was nice to have food and cocktails, and there and lots of space to hang out inside and out. Would definitely go back.
The hostel was very nice everyone was friendly and there were a lot of great things to do. I didn’t come there to meet people this time so we it was a family visit so it was a little much but as a solo traveler it’s super easy to find friends there.
The Hostel was really good but I think the beds should be more isolated so that you have your own Space. There was also a loud sleeper in my room so that was annoying
I was in a dormitory for just 1 night and I have been there for too short time but it was fantastic. I met with new amazing girls: Banu, Ilaria, Cloe. The place is not only to get rest but to get to know new people and experience 😊.
It was amazing! I loved the people, atmosphere, the room was always clean, we had enough space, the bar is amazing, stuff, everything! I’ll rbe back for sure!
YellowSquare Milano is an exemple of a great hostel : well located 5min walk from a metro station or 30min from the Duomo, rooms are clean and well organised (curtain if requested, locker, individual light and a ledge). Bathroom was also clean, with a little heater for the towels. The night is quite, I did not even have to use earplugs.
Bar/restaurant on ground floor is also a great place, food is good and layout is usefull to work in peace or meet new people. I did not participate to the activities but I know their is something available every night.
Overall, I had a great experience. My room was spacious, and I was lucky to share it with just one other girl. It was clean and conveniently located within a 10–15 minute walk from the train station. The staff was friendly, and they offered free pasta and drinks every afternoon. The breakfast was also delicious.
The only issue for me was the toilet, which I also reported to the receptionist. Every time we flushed, it made a strange gurgling noise that was so loud and disruptive we couldn’t sleep. I went to reception to have someone check it. But, of course, it was around 11 pm and there was no plumber around. So we asked the bartender. The thing is every time he came to the room, the noise stopped—so embarrassing! Hahaha. 😅😅 I’m pretty sure he thought we were making it up.
The next day, I showed him a video as proof, and I also shared it with the receptionist. I really hope you take action on this because it’s seriously disturbing. The room number was 010.
Other than that, everything was great, and I had no other issues. Thank you 😊
Cheep hostel, but good quality. The sheets were really clean and the ambiance was very nice. I met some very nice people and I had amazing time
Great experience and very nice team.
Juste one problem : noisy people speaking loud lately in the corridors by night… 🙁
I would 100% stay again. Clean, close to centre, lively
I stayed four nights with my mom, who is 67, and it was a great experience.
All the activities are meant to be for young people, but it was even fun and enjoyable for my mom!
We really enjoyed the free pasta and every time we had breakfast.
Very friendly staff, great location, can’t fault the rooms. Very clean, had no issues
I had a very uncomplicated stay! Everything was clean and well taken care of, the staff is very helpful, a perfect backpacker friendly place!
A very social hostel with daily activities at the bar across the street. The shared rooms are clean (as well as the bathrooms) and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. I will definitely stay here again or at another hostel from the same company.
Friendly people and enjoyable time
The hostel offers a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere, perfect for solo travelers. Every evening, events are organized, making it easy to meet other guests. There are plenty of well-maintained common areas, and the cleanliness throughout the place is excellent. Plus, the option to eat on-site at affordable prices is a big bonus. Security is top-notch, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
This is the third time I have chosen to stay here, and I am pleased with my choice. I plan to stay here whenever I come to Rome. It has a clean service, the possibility of a working space, and friendly staff. Overall, my stay here has been a very pleasant experience.
Loved this hostel! Rooms were spacious, bunk beds were comfortable and didn’t creak. Very clean space with lots of social activities you could join in on.
I only stayed for one night but it was pretty nice and welcoming – including the welcome drink being offered. The sheets were already on the bed and at least the people in the room I stayed in (female, four beds) were very respectful with sharing each other’s space. It was generally a little noisy as the walls aren’t the thickest and a cherry on top would have been curtains on the beds, but other than that I had a lovely stay and would come back anytime.
The food, the activities, the surrounding, the people, everything was just great!!
Everything was perfect, really good value. Only issue I could say is that water pressure its too weak
The hostel was very organized and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped.
The common area was very cozy and the plans to meet other people were really cool.
Also, being able to leave your luggage before check-in time without any additional costs was great, allowing you to enjoy the city even more.
I had such a good time here! The staff are amazing and the beds are comfortable. The events were really fun and the bar is great!
It is a comfy hostal but its not as clean as other I stayed in, so it was a little annoying that
We absolutely loved it. We were given an upgrade from the 4 bed mixed dorm to a private room. The room was absolutely beautiful and it had Books and a cool fact about turtles. The entire hostel was really cool with a party room as well. Wish we had more time to spend in the hostel and meet more cool people. The staff was also really helpful and the luggage storage facility was also really convenient.
