YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
Wonderful!!! So clean, great services, best location ever (town and airport) and helpful staff.
I really liked the hostel and the staff was perfect at all times. Food was delicious and activities were very fun
It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I’m grateful it was at YellowSquare. I stayed in Florence with five friends, and we absolutely loved the place—the rooms were spotless, and the activities within the hostel were so much fun. I’m really happy I chose YellowSquare for my stay!
I was there for four days, the staff is super helpful, they’re really going out of their way to aid you in whatever you need (from food recs to firguting out the metro to earplugs, anything!!!)
The rooms are clean, tidy.
The drinks at the hostel bar are great, I loved that there are so many activities around and from the hostel so that you can always join in and meet new people. The coworking space is superb too!
Really nice people, clean rooms with everything you need, and a lovely atmosphere in the communal area !
It was very fun and very exciting
The yellow bar had many nice activities during the day and night. The kitchen tho was a bit small and it was hard finding knives, forks and plates. We also experienced that the guests staying at our hostel ate all our food – even though we had written our names and date on it:/
I had a good stay, the rooms were pretty clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the pasta and aperitivo every night.
The atmosphere here really brought a lot of people together. While I was staying I had a group of 6-10 people, depending on the night, that would all hang together, it was a blast!
The hostel is very clean and well located, and also The reception is very helpful
My experience was great! i stayed from saturday to sunday and all the events were super nice! i have to add that even though i had some issues, cause someone laid on my assigned bed, the team helped me very well! not only during the stay, but also after i shared what happened to them! I could not be happier and I’m looking forward to coming back!
The hostel is less than 10’ from Termini station which is great to move around Rome by train or metro. There are lots of restaurants in the area and it’s safe. The negative point for me was the communal kitchen. There aren’t that many seats around that table. You can’t really take your plate and eat somewhere else as there’s no table in the leisure area.
Concerning the room, the beds were comfy and the room was spacious. There are big lockers for the bags. The curtains on the beds were missing which wasn’t the case in other rooms. Also, there was no desk in ours.
There’s a separate shower, which was literally a closet with no shelf and no space to put your stuff. Adding a little hook for the hand towel and a shelf above the sink would be great as you’ll have to either put them on the floor or put them back in your suitcase. More hooks for jackets and clothes would be much appreciated.
We stayed five days in a female dormitory at Yellow Square Rome and we liked it a lot! The staff is really kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and modern, numerous activities organised in the evening, and discounts offered at the bar. And the location is great, only a 10min walk from the train station. We had a great time !
the experience was excellent! super hostel! there was even free pasta every evening! different activities every day! great atmosphere, kind staff ! definitely I will advice this hostel to everyone who will visit Italy!
Everybody was kind and helpful. The staff was very much into making people connect at various group activities. The yellowBar in the same street is a great one, especially because it works as a bar itself and there are not only people from the hostel who are hanging out there. I met a lot of great people!
Everything was nice, accessible, clean all the time. Staff were kind and open to any questions I had. The activities were fun to participate in and i like how it was different every day. It was great place for my first time in Italy
The entire experience was great, people i met in the room were cool. And so much to enjoy in the bar and the free meal is but a cherry on top. Smart concept.
Great hostel with good vibe. Bar and restaurant across the road really adds to the experience. My group of 10 throughly enjoyed the stay.
It is the best hostel I have been.
The hostel had everything! And many Events. The rooms were clean!
The other guests and staff were wonderful and the events during the weekend were fun and well planned (we had a crazy night of kareoke in the bar downstairs on Saturday till 3am). The drinks at the bar were not as cheap as I hoped (9 euro for a tequila sunrise, 6 euro for a beer). The security with rooms were great and everything was clean and tidy, also not crazy busy during this time (Feb) as we were only 5 people in a 6 bed.
We had wonderful time at yellow square . The team was great and will definitely recommend to my friends
I loved it in Yellowsqare. It was really social and friendly. It was easy to connect. And with amazing breakfasts and free pasta, its really something.
Everything was good!, we loved the hostel at Florence, we made friends and the location is great. Also the luggage lockers are perfect, thank you.
I had an incredible stay at YellowSquare Hostel in Rome! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to give recommendations or assist with any questions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with secure lockers for peace of mind.
What really sets this hostel apart is the social vibe—there are plenty of common areas, events, and activities that make it easy to meet fellow travelers. The on-site bar and restaurant had great food and drinks at reasonable prices, and the nightlife options were fantastic! The location is also a huge plus—just a short walk from Termini Station, making it convenient for getting around the city.
If you’re looking for a fun, comfortable, and social place to stay in Rome, I highly recommend YellowSquare. I would definitely stay here again!
This hostel is in a prime location for travellers, less than 5 mins from the main terminal which connects to the whole city. The facilities are nice and the staff were super friendly. Check in starts from 3pm which is slightly inconvenient as I arrived at 10am, but there is bag storage so you can go and make the most of the day.
A free drink, free pasta at 6:30, and a 20% discount on all drinks at the hostel bar is fantastic. However, Rome is full of amazing places for aperitivo so it’s a good way to meet fellow travellers but you should really only spend 1 night there at most. Go explore the city!
Now, my experience with my dorm was good and bad. I stayed in the mixed dorms for 2 nights and luckily I had a nice batch of people who I went for a drink with on the 1st night. Very wholesome. 2nd night some people had left and new ones arrived… and one of them came in at 2am really drunk and threw up all over another guy’s belongings and the floor, starting an argument. It stank. Not a nice experience. This is only one instance of someone being really stupid, but you could get anyone in your room so be prepared or pay for a private room if you can afford it.
Overall, I was there for the city and just needed a cheap place to stay, and the hostel did its job. Can’t ask for more than that.
room good but could be a little bit bigger
otherwise fine
Great enviromet, great people, great prices, great activities!!
The events at 11 PM are really loud. People come traveling to explore the city and after a full day of walking it’s extremely annoying to hear screaming outside your door
We had a really nice stay in this hostel. The rooms were nice and the facilities in the building were good. There was a nice breakfast available. Kind staff. The only thing that could be improved was the fact that there was some mold in the shower.
Everything was great : thanks a lot
Everything was perfect, the staff is sweet, the rooms clean, there are a lot of accomodities and the atmosphere is really cool, I 100% recommend !
Plus the location is really good, near the metro and every attraction you might want to do 😊
