YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; itâs an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
This place was so good, the activities were so fun and the rooms were great. Good services too with a laundry and a kitchen.
Yellowsquare Florence had the right amount of socialising and amenities. The rooftop pool was perfect in the heat, everyone was friendly and chatty and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. I wish I had stayed more than one night.
The room was well prepared, a own safe and a big locker (for my big bag) made it easy to arrive.
I liked the different Events to Connect each other. My only wish in this point: Be proactive, ask people, if they want to join.
Breakfast was great especially the fresh Barista coffee.
Amazing hostel with friendly people, great pool and amazing karaoke night! I loved it!
I had a wonderful stay at YellowSquare Rome. Its the perfect place to meet new international people, have a fun time at day and night due to the thoughtful optional activities and to explore the city from. Rooms are clean and cozy, staff is very kind, pasta is free, drinks are good. 10/10
thanks for the nice stay, everything was perfect. I loved the architecture, the rooms (we had an own terrace), the roof top pool, really nice activities, lovely stuf,
Nice place, people are kind and accessible.
I loved it here!!!!
The only thing i want to say is that i would be a good idea to have an odor neutralizing flavoring in each room.
everything about the stay was great. they had rules that kept things quiet in the room
only thing was the lack of coworking space. part of the reason i booked yellowsquare was because they mentioned a coworking space online, however when i was there, i learned that it was fully booked and that there was only 2 conference-style rooms, not an actual working space.
I had to move around throughout the common areas because they would get loud
I stayed in a girls’ dormitory for 6 people. The room was big and good. The beds and lockers were also good. The bathroom was clean. The common areas in the hostel were great. The rooftop and the garden were really good and there were many activities.
A nice, chill hostel with helpful staff, excellent air conditioning, good food and drinks, and plenty of places to relax in the sun. Very close to the metro and bus stops, and an easy walk to various sites of interest. Public swimming pool nearby (check closures online, it was closed when I was visiting). Lovely gluten free bakery a 7 minute walk away (Glufre bakery). Clean kitchen available in the hostel, but could do with more cutlery and mugs, and maybe a toaster.
I stayed one night in a private room in YellowSquare Milano.
Everything from checking in, to the room and the common areas was really nice!
Thanks to the nice staff for good beer and coffee. And some good recommendations for the area.
Will definitely come back since I did not get to join the events they had.
Thanks again đ
Thught it was expensive but you are so attentive that its worth it.
The stay was really good! The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. A Highlight of the Yellowsquare ist defenitly the bar with free Pasta everyday.
The Activities were great and there was Something for everybody.
You can meet new people very easy and everybody was very nice.
Also the kitchen was really really good. They have everything you need to cook Something and also have free Pasta for you to cook and free cereal and MĂŒsli.
I Loved my stay at the Hostel and wish i could have stayed longer :.))
The staff we very helpful whenever you needed them, very sympathetic. The activities were fun, the room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The bar across made it easier to meet with people. And the location was great too, only a few minutes walking distance from the train station! really appreciate the free earplugs and tampons.
We had the “Superior” Private Room. Superior was only the price. The only difference to the standard is the small balcony which is definitely not worth the money. The bathroom wasnÂŽt properly cleaned when we arrived (black hairs on the floor). The small room had only one little chair and a small table. It is forbidden to bring your own beer (they like to sell it on their own bar). After we left I realized I forgot my cap in the room and gave them a call. They told me they found the cap and I should give them a detailed description or send them a photo. I asked I f they would send me the cap if i do so. The answer: “This is not a service we provide”. The only thing they are interested in is obviously that you leave your money at the place. The nights were noisy. When the party noise stopped around 5ÂŽclock in the morning the noise oft the city cleaning service emptying the glass containers began.
The place has a good location, the staff is very friendly and help you a lot. But the bed in rooms are very uncomfortable, and the bathroom was not working good. You have to push several times to get water, but this no one knows and you can imagine this sharing the toilet with 8 people! đ
YellowSquare was a great hostel. Has a solo women traveling, I felt so safe and it was very clean. The staff was very nice and fun. Itâs a fun hostel with many activities and opportunities to make new friends and have a good time. Thank you to everyone there!
Had a great time in Florence because YellowSquare had everything I needed. Appreciated the standing lockers, free bodywash, and the regular cleaning. The events also seemed nice although I didn’t get time to attend. I was in a dorm with other solo travelers and we hung out together! Only small drawback is the location, we had to walk a bit to get to the city center. But it was clear before I booked.
Was an amazing hostel to stay in amenities were great and staff were super helpful
The community and facilities were great! The bar is always lovely, with different activities nearly every night. It was super easy to meet new people. The free pasta for guests was amazing! Only draw back was the lockers felt a bit small in the rooms.
I loved the vibes, the spaces, and the amenities. I was disappointed about the cleanliness of the rooms and ventilation.
Definitely recommend. Clean place, friendly staff, good facilities, good location – 35ish mins to airport.
I am really enjoying in Yellow Square. 10/10
Zalig hostel, uniek met zen rooftop pool in hartje Firenze! Happy hour, free pasta,⊠All worth it !
Awesome conditions
Events
Nice staff and guests
Close to train station
The staff were super helpful and made me feel right at home. Iâm not sure if all hostels have an iron, but they did, and it really helped me out. It is located near Termini station so it is easy access to airport.
The room was clean, check in and check out was super efficient, and all the staff were really friendly!!
was a very lovely hostel, friendly and clean đ
All the staff were good and room was lovely and clean, the free pasta and free drink was a nice touch too.
I really liked my expérience at yellow square florence, the place made me feel like i was on vacation and it felt accessible to meet other young travelers and make friends, the food is great and the service too.
Clean, located right next to transportation for easy access to city. Lots of events each day for guests and very polite/helpful staff. Easily the best hostel Iâve been to with great price. The food and drinks were also good prices and the pool was clean and nice.
It was a great hostel. Awesome events and lovely staff.
Never felt more safe or at home! Incredible place to stay
My stay was really pleasant. I had the chance to meet other solo travellers in both hostel and the bar-restaurant right in front of it. What I didn’t like was the mattress, quite uncomfortable and almost without filling in the middle part. Also, there was no proper curtain to get a bit of privacy in the bunker bed. If you wanted, you had to use the sheet of the mattress.
Amazing Stay â Highly Recommend!
I had a fantastic experience at this hostel. The location is perfect â close to everything you need. The rooms were clean, spacious, and really comfortable. The food and drinks were great, and I especially appreciated the awesome coffee and cookies!
One of the best things was the nightly events. They created a super friendly and social atmosphere, making it easy for everyone to meet and connect. Massive shoutout to Luciano, the Argentinian guy â he was super nice and absolutely hilarious. He really added to the vibe of the place.
All in all, a great stay. Would definitely come back!
First of all the place is situated very close to the train station with is really good makes commute easy. Alot of affordable restaurants around. They also provide free pasta every day between 6-8. The room was cleaned every day which was a good thing.
Coming to the problems. The rooms were way smaller in real life when you see it personally. Every morning when i had a shower the water was ice cold and when i informed the guy at the reception he said we cant do anything about it as its the buildings problem so please manage. Which was very rude of him. Also i saw people checking in got a toad bag which was selectively not given to me which i dont know why. There were lockers for post/pre checkout to deposit luggage and use for a euro a day. As they didnt have the locker to fit my bag they just kept it with them for free which was very confusing and nonuniform treatment.
Overall the experience did not do justice to the price i paid for a dome room. I worked suggest to travel in pairs in Rome and book a room in a hotel or a hostel.
If you just need to drink and party yes this is the place.
