Thanks, it was really nice
It’s my first internationally hostel experience and the bar is set very high. I went with no expectations and a good mind set. Upon my arrival, i got greetly with nothing but good energetic vibes that made my comfort level feel at ease. Im a solo traveller, and ive been used to it for sometime now, but the atmosphere you provide makes the experience more comforting and with your staff it makes it very memorable. It was an amazing experience and im looking forward in coming back. Hold on to them staff. They are unique and priceless 🫶🏽
I had the best time there, the rooms were a little bit little, but everything was compensated because of the people, the bar and the organization.
Without a doubt the most fun hostel I’ve ever been to. As a solo traveler it was easy to make friends with roommates and at the bar downstairs. The events are great fun and the staff creates an environment that is welcoming with games and activities every night. The facilities are also clean and comfortable, with valuables lockers and under-bed lockers for larger items (bring a small padlock). Being located near Termini adds to the experience, as you’re never more than a nice morning’s walk or an easy metro away from most attractions in the city, or quick trains to nearby cities. 10/10!
It was a really nice stay at the hostel. We had so much fun. It was really clean and everyone was so friendly.
The staff is super kind and helpful. The hostel is close to termini station which is great cuz termini can get you anywhere! Also the Yellowsquare bar is so much fun and it’s across the street so if you wanna have a quick drink (alone as a girl) it’s super easy to go there and get back to your hostel safely! They have activities each day I wish I joined for more but I was busy discovering the city with the friends I’ve made during my stay. If I ever find myself staying in Rome again, I’ll be at Yellowsquare for sure!✨♥️
Yellowsquare Rome was incredible. Had such a fun time there. The location is perfect, the facilities within the hostel are so easy to use and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Have already recommended it to friends and will 100% be back.
The rooms were comfortable and the service was very good overall. It’s a hostel, so despite the fact that it offers a lot of activities, I didn’t feel welcome. There aren’t many common areas. People barely interact with each other, and to get to my room, I had to leave the hostel and cross the street. It felt like I was renting an apartment. It might be fine for going with friends, but it wasn’t a great experience alone. The location isn’t bad, but it’s far from the center.
It’s okay, except there are no curtains on the beds so you feel a bit “exposed” and also you need to bring your own lock for the locker in the room. Also in the showers there is no shelf to put any belongings. Everything else absolutely fine and acceptable.
The place was very well located, the common areas were quite good. Checking in was easy. The rooms were clean and having a semi-private bathroom was good. Being able to have a place to share with friends and other people in the restaurant/pub/game room was what I highlighted most about the experience. The vibes of the place were very good.
I’ve had an amazing experience at yellowsquare rome. I was solo traveling for the first time and super scared I wouldn’t be able to make friends but I met so many incredible people as soon as I walked into the reception!
The yellow bar was also super fun and the staff is amazing. I can’t wait to go back!
The Hostel was really good but I think the beds should be more isolated so that you have your own Space. There was also a loud sleeper in my room so that was annoying
I was in a dormitory for just 1 night and I have been there for too short time but it was fantastic. I met with new amazing girls: Banu, Ilaria, Cloe. The place is not only to get rest but to get to know new people and experience 😊.
It was amazing! I loved the people, atmosphere, the room was always clean, we had enough space, the bar is amazing, stuff, everything! I’ll rbe back for sure!
I stayed four nights with my mom, who is 67, and it was a great experience.
All the activities are meant to be for young people, but it was even fun and enjoyable for my mom!
We really enjoyed the free pasta and every time we had breakfast.
Very friendly staff, great location, can’t fault the rooms. Very clean, had no issues
A very social hostel with daily activities at the bar across the street. The shared rooms are clean (as well as the bathrooms) and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. I will definitely stay here again or at another hostel from the same company.
Friendly people and enjoyable time
This is the third time I have chosen to stay here, and I am pleased with my choice. I plan to stay here whenever I come to Rome. It has a clean service, the possibility of a working space, and friendly staff. Overall, my stay here has been a very pleasant experience.
Loved this hostel! Rooms were spacious, bunk beds were comfortable and didn’t creak. Very clean space with lots of social activities you could join in on.
I had such a good time here! The staff are amazing and the beds are comfortable. The events were really fun and the bar is great!
It is a comfy hostal but its not as clean as other I stayed in, so it was a little annoying that
It was very fun and very exciting
The yellow bar had many nice activities during the day and night. The kitchen tho was a bit small and it was hard finding knives, forks and plates. We also experienced that the guests staying at our hostel ate all our food – even though we had written our names and date on it:/
I had a good stay, the rooms were pretty clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the pasta and aperitivo every night.
The hostel is very clean and well located, and also The reception is very helpful
The hostel is less than 10’ from Termini station which is great to move around Rome by train or metro. There are lots of restaurants in the area and it’s safe. The negative point for me was the communal kitchen. There aren’t that many seats around that table. You can’t really take your plate and eat somewhere else as there’s no table in the leisure area.
Concerning the room, the beds were comfy and the room was spacious. There are big lockers for the bags. The curtains on the beds were missing which wasn’t the case in other rooms. Also, there was no desk in ours.
There’s a separate shower, which was literally a closet with no shelf and no space to put your stuff. Adding a little hook for the hand towel and a shelf above the sink would be great as you’ll have to either put them on the floor or put them back in your suitcase. More hooks for jackets and clothes would be much appreciated.
We stayed five days in a female dormitory at Yellow Square Rome and we liked it a lot! The staff is really kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and modern, numerous activities organised in the evening, and discounts offered at the bar. And the location is great, only a 10min walk from the train station. We had a great time !
Everybody was kind and helpful. The staff was very much into making people connect at various group activities. The yellowBar in the same street is a great one, especially because it works as a bar itself and there are not only people from the hostel who are hanging out there. I met a lot of great people!
Great hostel with good vibe. Bar and restaurant across the road really adds to the experience. My group of 10 throughly enjoyed the stay.
The entire experience was great, people i met in the room were cool. And so much to enjoy in the bar and the free meal is but a cherry on top. Smart concept.
We had wonderful time at yellow square . The team was great and will definitely recommend to my friends
I had an incredible stay at YellowSquare Hostel in Rome! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to give recommendations or assist with any questions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with secure lockers for peace of mind.
What really sets this hostel apart is the social vibe—there are plenty of common areas, events, and activities that make it easy to meet fellow travelers. The on-site bar and restaurant had great food and drinks at reasonable prices, and the nightlife options were fantastic! The location is also a huge plus—just a short walk from Termini Station, making it convenient for getting around the city.
If you’re looking for a fun, comfortable, and social place to stay in Rome, I highly recommend YellowSquare. I would definitely stay here again!
This hostel is in a prime location for travellers, less than 5 mins from the main terminal which connects to the whole city. The facilities are nice and the staff were super friendly. Check in starts from 3pm which is slightly inconvenient as I arrived at 10am, but there is bag storage so you can go and make the most of the day.
A free drink, free pasta at 6:30, and a 20% discount on all drinks at the hostel bar is fantastic. However, Rome is full of amazing places for aperitivo so it’s a good way to meet fellow travellers but you should really only spend 1 night there at most. Go explore the city!
Now, my experience with my dorm was good and bad. I stayed in the mixed dorms for 2 nights and luckily I had a nice batch of people who I went for a drink with on the 1st night. Very wholesome. 2nd night some people had left and new ones arrived… and one of them came in at 2am really drunk and threw up all over another guy’s belongings and the floor, starting an argument. It stank. Not a nice experience. This is only one instance of someone being really stupid, but you could get anyone in your room so be prepared or pay for a private room if you can afford it.
Overall, I was there for the city and just needed a cheap place to stay, and the hostel did its job. Can’t ask for more than that.
