YellowSquare Reviews: Rome
YellowSquare Rome is located a 10-minute walk from the city center and is a solo-traveler friendly base. We offer female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms for all types of travelers. If you need to get work done, Smartsquare is our professional coworking space. For food and social vibes, Yellow Bar is our main restaurant and events hub, while the Arcade hosts stand-up comedy and activities in the basement. It’s the perfect place to meet travellers, grab a drink, go for stroll with new friends and connect with our global community.
dirty bathrooms, bad shower, the hot water cools down during the shower, there is no ideal place to hang your clothes inside the bathroom, which causes clothes to get wet from the splashes of water from the shower. The room stank, due to the air conditioning. bunk beds without curtains for more privacy. For the amount they charge per day, it definitely left something to be desired.
It was so easy to make friends. Either in your room or more likely down in the bar. The facilities were great, I especially loved the music corner where I‘ve had a jam session with other travellers. Location is good due to the two metro stations close by. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 4-bed female only dorm. The bathroom could have been bigger, it was quite small. It did make us a bit uncomfortable that the room service would just burst into your room directly after knocking on the door at strange hours. Apart from that I had a very pleasant stay. 10/10
nice
I got my cellphone stolen from my bed while sleeping. The 2 guys Just left the room in the dawn. It was a 4 People mixed room.
The guy at The reception was nice trying to help. But then call the supervisor and she was incredibly cold and hostile. I had my Credit cards blocked for a few hours and the only thing that she was afraid is that i “could not stay there for free so would have to get my things out of the room”. I Was very sad about the incident, but really more sad of the way she treated me. Zero empathy.
Location is good, near central station n mrt, it is in strategic area
I got new fun friends as they are my roommate
Storage bagages is allowed before check in time and it’s free.
The hostel was great, clean and good service, good location too right by the termini station. I’m giving it 7 out of 10 because it is way too expensive for what you pay for, the services were good but the price is similar to a hotel and not as clean like a hotel.
Overall experience was good as the stuff was friendly the location is very useful as close to the main Central station and the Hostel had many amenities. However, the prices for breakfast and drinks were a bit high.
A very clean and fun hostel overall.
The stay at yellow square was very confortable, the staff were very attentive and I felt secure all the time.
YellowSquare has everything one would want from a hostel. Very social athmosphere making it super easy to meet people
They were small bugs all over the room
Good rooms and facilities and a super social hostel!
The rooms are not very clean. The bed is comfortable but the bunk beds are metal so you hit yourself so many times during the night and make A LOT of noise. Bathrooms are extremely small, you can’t even sit down properly in the toilet because your legs don’t fit. It’s
Hostel was nice and tidy, nice atmosphere and good social aspect, good amenities and staff were all super friendly
My time in Rome was amazing and mostly because of Yellow, will never forget the experiences and friends i made there 🙂
I loved the fact that there were free activities in the evening which is a perfect way to meet people! The rooms were clean and got properly cleaned every day!
Was really nice
As a hostel, it is the best, on staff quality and in structural. Installations are the best. Bedrooms, rooms and bathrooms are really good equipment and really clean.
I had an incredible experience staying at YellowSquare Rooms in Rome! The facilities provided by the host were top-notch, and the staff were welcoming and supportive throughout my stay. The kitchen facility was exceptionally well-equipped, making self-catering a breeze. Even during a brief wait upon arrival, the staff thoughtfully provided tokens and invited us to relax in the waiting room, which was stocked with a great selection of books – a lovely touch!
My stay was truly wonderful, and the memories will linger whenever I think of my Rome trip. The room was immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, and super-fast WiFi. Each bed had personalized charging points and bed lamps, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
Safety was a top priority, with three layers of secure access – entrance, floor entrance, and room entrance – all protected by our personal safety lock keys. This gave us complete peace of mind when leaving our belongings in the room. Additionally, each bed had a large, secure locker with individual locking facilities and a private, numbered locker for valuable items like cash and passports.
Overall, my two-day stay at YellowSquare Rooms was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. The facilities, staff, and amenities all deserve a full rating. If you’re looking for a comfortable, secure, and welcoming place to stay in Rome, look no further than YellowSquare Rooms!
I enjoyed my brief 14-hour stay. The complimentary perks, such as the free drink and pasta, were a highlight. However, I wish there was a more budget-friendly option for short stays without those extras. As I had other commitments during the 6-8:30 pm window, I felt guilty for not utilizing the perks. Nonetheless, I look forward to booking a longer stay in the future.
Yellowsquare Rome is the first hostel I have ever stayed in and before I arrived I was slightly nervous, however on that very same day I settled in instantly and felt comfortable, made friends that I stayed together with the entire week , and just had a memorable experience
Clean, friendly and social hostel would recommend !
I had a great time. I felt very safe and the location was great
The staff was so happy and energetic even when it was 7 am..
The place is really cool,,the events are so nice, unfortunately i only stayed one night but i really enjoyed it. The only thing that i didn’t really like is that the check in is very late and check out is so early. So for my one night stay i just got to be in the hostel for sleeping then next day i had to leave my bags.
Great hostel, the part I loved was things you did to help people to meet them, just like : free pasta, sunset strol+++++++ (such a great idea !), the bar near the hostel, and other activities.
I think you can still improve all this by doing more activities, like a pub crawl (one perzon in your staff can begin the crawl and then letting us doing the rest for example).
I was at YellowSquare for 3 days for my first time in Rome traveling alone. The staff is nice, the room and bathrooms are clean. I really appreciated the bar downstairs and all the events organised !
They helped me with everything I needed
This was my first time solo travelling and staying in a hostel and I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. My roommates were all lovely and it was easy to walk to several places I wanted to visit in Rome.
Cool staff, near by train and bus station…clean room nd bathroom, what else do you need
best hostel experience staff were fantastic bar was heaps of fun with great events which make it easy to meet people !!
Even though the hostel was overall fine, for the price and some of the level it is presented, the rooms and amenities were lacking a lot.
Extremely small bathrooms, noisy rooms, and a bar that lacks a bit of space and air. Bathrooms were cleaned only once a day from what I saw.
The staff was great!
Staying at yellow Square Rome was so fun, I loved all the social activities and games offered at the hostel. Also loved free pasta nights!
What a great stay while visiting Rome! The hostel had everything we needed, the rooms were clean, wifi works great and they even provided cute little totes for your days walking around. Would highly recommend! It’s such a great location for touring around and very close to the train station.
The stuff was lovely, rooms were great, activities were fun.
Loved it! The atmosphere was fantastic and as a solo traveller was very easy to break into new friendship groups due to the way everything was set up. The facilities were all clean and well maintained, very social and welcoming.
I think it might be the best hostel I’ve stayed in! Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, so many activities and freebies!!! And everyone had a great attitude about meeting new people and it was really easy to make friends with all the organised activities.
It was definitely more expensive than I would usually pay for a dorm room, but considering it was rome in summer and how much fun I had there, I soon forgot about the price.
Easy check in, and secure facility. We had a private room which was good for a couple, but it was facing the Main Street and the noise of the bar went on all night.
Aside from that it is in a good location to the terminal station, and easy walk everywhere.
