If you go to Rome you need to stay at the hostel! Definitely coming back
That was my first time in Rome and that was the best way to visit everything. I felt really safe and at home. Staff was really nice. And the atmosphere was amazing, everybody was super helpful and open minded.
The hostel is very well located.
Staff is very friendly and helpful! The kitchen and the shared area, are very comfortable and have a nice atmosphere. The bar in the other side of the street, is really cool, with nice events and also just the opportunity to sit outside.
The rooms are today, the bathrooms are being cleaned more than twice a day I think, so they were also very alright.
All in all I really enjoyed my stay and I’d recommend it!
it was ballin
I think the common areas were fantastic and the people were great. But I think the rooms were lacking. They just weren’t very nice. Additionally, I was very frustrated when I arrived and was told that the stay would be more expensive than I anticipated due to the rooms being different prices on different days
In our room D202 was pretty chilly and we couldn’t warm the room, the AC was blowing only cool air and we were pretty much trembling.
I loved the dorms. They were so clean and spacious. The toilets and the lockers were also exceptional. I enjoyed my time at the bar and the sunset stroll too. Loved the activities as well such as mixology. Everything was great.
As usual, the yellow didn’t disappoint. I am the biggest Yellowsquare stan! The room was spacious, the bathrooms always clean, and the staff is amazing as always. Great vibes and best place to meet people, specially if you are solo traveling.
Guess where so friendly, kind and adorable. Always given their Best and all información we need. My congratulations to Sabrina who was very profesional and made us feel as at Home.
First time staying on a hostel and my experience couldn’t be more pleasent. Rooms cleaned daily, everything organized, the location was great as it was near a metro station. Staff was amazing as well. This was a great experience for a first time staying in a hostel.
Ciao a tutti e grazie mille !!

I really had a wonderful experience with u the staff the bar everything was nice but i think you missed something about the tours for tourists or some advice for us to help us discover the city .
This was my first time solo travelling and staying in a hostel and can’t recommend YellowSquare enough! The rooms were good and the bar was amazing, met some great people along the way, will definitely be returning.
Highly highly recommend this place. Great staff and ambiance, excellent location, room was nice (bathroom and floor could use a renovation), assistance was easy to receive and I felt very well taken care of.
The hostel is not as good as it seems online. The people is great!! The staff is the besr of the hostel. But i couldnt sleep st night with all the noice
the staff was really friendly. the activities at night are so important for those who travel by themselves, i had a really good experience
The hostel, the rooms, the staff, the bar, the neighborhood, the tips, the maps, the coworking, the parties these guys have everything!
Everything was very smooth working, helpful staff and fresh.
Easy to find other travelers to hang out with and the bar with different activities were perfect to spend an evening at!
I felt like the biggest (and only) let down was the beds we had. We had a bunk bed that squeaked like crazy and just made it really hard to sleep. Unlike beds at other hostels we stayed at throughout out trip, the beds here didn’t give a lot of privacy, adding some curtains would be a nice little luxury.
Outside of that, the facilities were nice enough – good water pressure, everything was clean, staff were friendly
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The Yellowsquare 🟨 was clean and convenient.
Very warm and kind staff.
Wifi is good.
Bathrooms are very very small but clean.
Beds are sturdy, clean, and comfortable.
The bar might be a little too loud for those of you who just want to sleep but it’s not terrible.
The safe might maybe too safe. When I was leaving it stopped working and I couldn’t get my stuff out but thankfully Paul from the front desk was there to help.
The Yellowsquare is good but the neighborhood is dirty and dangerous.
I have been to 29 countries and know how to stay out of trouble.
On my last night, four Africans attacked me outside the hostel and stole my phone with sentimental travle photos on my memory card that I will never see again. I tried to get it back but four against one does not work too well especially with the fact that I was already limping from a recent injury. These four fiends were bold. Unashamed and accustomed a life of crime. I was able to get some guys from inside the bar and we ran after them for two and a half blacks before they got away in a car. I am a strong athletically built man in my 20s and I was still attacked. This is NOT A SAFE neighborhood. This is dangerous for ladies and solo travelers. I cannot recommend this location.
As first impression the dorm was good and looked like the pictures!
I was a bit disappointed because I had to buy my own lock for my locker, and most importantly there was no curtain to my bed. Of course it is a dorm but the minimum privacy is required and seeing strangers sleep and them look at you is quite unpleasant. I was surprised because all other hostels i’ve been to provided these. Gladly, a staff lady offered me another bed sheet to use it as a curtain.
The biggest downside is the bathroom. While it is very nice to have it for each bedroom, they were very poir and STINKED. Everyday even though the cleaning lady came, there was a super strong smell of piss. Really disguating.
very nice!!
I enjoyed my stay very much. It was a very clean.
I loved the restaurant on the other side of the street and was there daily.
had a great experience at yellow square rome, was travelling with a friend one night and alone the other. the amenities provided were perfect for this — i wanted to go out but feared going out alone in a new city, and the yellow bar worked perfect for this! the breakfast in the morning got me going, and the beds were comfortable and clean. everyone was very kind and helpful.
I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay at Yellowsquare Rome. Its central location, excellent amenities, and cleanliness made my stay truly memorable.
I stayed in a private room that had all the amenities I needed, including a safe and a hairdryer. Towels were also provided and the room was cleaned everyday, which I did not expect. We also greatly enjoyed the Yellow Bar in front of the hostel and got some great perks there because of being there. All the staff was lovely and we got to leave our bags there for free because we arrived before check-in time, which was a great relief. It is also located very close to a metro station and a bus stop that covers the whole city. Overall very good experience and I will be sure to visit other YellowSquare hostels in other Italian cities I visit.
Just had the best stay at the Yellow! The atmosphere was great and met lots of amazing people throughout my days there. I was having such a great time that I extended my stay several times.
One thing that could have been improved was room extensions: they were not nearly as smooth here as other hostels I’ve stayed at. I had to have my room switched for maintenance twice, and this meant that I had to check out at 10am and wait until 3pm to check back in… the first time this occurred, I understood; but the second time, I had specifically mentioned that I’d likely wanted to extend further and the concierge said “of course, no problem, come back and let me know, we have space, etc.” and when I did return ~6 hours later to confirm, I found out that the new room I’d waited for that day was also going into maintenance the next day, and that I’d have to do the kicked-out check-in/check-out dance once again. Pretty frustrating to not have a room for 5 hours 2 days in a row, and especially rough for a party hostel like Yellow.
However, this rigamarole aside, I had an awesome time. I’ll definitely stay again, next time I’m in Rome… I’ll just make sure to book my entire stay in advance, no extensions.
All the facilities were great. I am happy to see a bidet was there was well. Also the lockers were very useful. The bathroom was very nice and clean.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and it was such a nice atmosphere!
Yellow Square has an excellent staff and good vibes. The bar of the hostel is in front and it has events every night. They give you a free welcome drink and free pasta dinner every night! Good located too, 4 blocks from Termini Starion
The best people in charge of my room. The areas for chillin’ , cooking, the bar!.
They re so helpfull.
You wouldnt regret.
I had everything I required, and more! Great atmosphere, extremely friendly and helpful staff (both professional and volunteering), various and enticing activities each and every day/night, comfortable and safe quarters, accessible facilities…. Definitely a top-notch establishment!
I had a great time, very friendly people all around – would 100 recommend and go again!
this hostel is the best, the staff was super nice, everything was clean, and the bar was amazing! would recommend to everyone!! the location is ok. really close to the central station and a little bit further away from the city center. but i wouldn’t say this is a negative thing. i had already been to yellow Milan, so i knew what i was coming to and it did not disappoint!!! and i got memories for life with the girls i shared room with:) this is the place to be
– Nice staff
– comfortable and modern electric port bunkbeds
– nice in room bathroom
– free towel
– free drink/coffee voucher for across the street
– bagage storage lockers for 1 euro a day (can fit 3 backpacks)
– safe area
I was a bit skeptical as I am staying at any new hostel but this one had amazing reviews and they did not disappoint. From before check in, to the duration of my stay, it was amazing. They emailed with suggestions on what to bring, they responded about how to get to the hostel from the airport and check in was easy. I arrived very early and unfortunately you can’t pay extra to check in early, even in advance. But I was still fortunate to get in my room a couple hours early. The rooms were really clean and pretty spacious. They provided daily cleaning as well. I stayed in an all female 4 bedroom dorm. We all had our own lockers and safe. Wifi worked really well in the rooms too. There was a window which we could open and that was nice to get fresh air in daily. Towels were available to rent too and I utilized that. There were so many events to choose from although the signs can’t be trusted, the times are usually wrong, so it’s best to just ask front desk what is happening that day. The bar across the street is everyone’s favorite I think. You get a free welcome drink, drinks are super affordable after that and they have food too. The DJs are almost always amazing and you can meet a lot of new people. There is a kitchen at the hostel as well as a room to relax, get work done and a room to play darts. It was so organized, clean, the people were friendly- I am so happy with my stay I have already told others to stay there. The only big thing that I wish was available was airport pick up through the hostel. It can make things so much easier. I booked my own driver. They also can call you taxis whenever you need which came in handy!
