YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
The stay was great met so many new people it was crazy. The hostel has the right supply of community activities
Best hotel I’ve stayed at, 10/10
perfect.
The rooms are not very clean. The bed is comfortable but the bunk beds are metal so you hit yourself so many times during the night and make A LOT of noise. Bathrooms are extremely small, you can’t even sit down properly in the toilet because your legs don’t fit. It’s
Cheap and cheerful, room was well decorated and kept clean. Good location with easy transport links and multiple food options both on and off site.
Hostel was nice and tidy, nice atmosphere and good social aspect, good amenities and staff were all super friendly
My time in Rome was amazing and mostly because of Yellow, will never forget the experiences and friends i made there 🙂
Rooms are clean , quiet ,
There is very good animation
The pool is very nice and clean
The property is well-equipped and the social facilities are a highlight. The bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful and everything was super clean. Really enjoyed the atmoshere there.
Clean, nice, great location, lots of events!
Great service, food, beds, bar, events, staff, location, working space. Literally nothing I cannot compliment!
Love this hostel and its location always stay when visiting my office in Porta Romana as do my colleagues!
We had a great experience here in Florence. 10 out of 10 recommend.
This hostel is very pleasant: modern dorm, a small outdoor courtyard, an indoor room with board games and books, a bar and so on. What’s more, they offer activities and events so you can meet new people. On the other hand, the rooms for 4 are very small. Fortunately, we had a balcony so we didn’t feel cooped up. The hostel is located 30 minutes from the city center by walk, which is quite far and the metro is quite expensive.
It was such a fun hostel to stay at, the atmosphere was always great and the events put on were fun, the price may be steep but it’s worth every cent. There are a lot of areas to socialise, the pool, bar area and the area out front. Everyone is approachable and it’s very easy to make friends. It also does help as a whole that the staff are a class too. I would highly recommend coming here, and then if you’re going to Rome stay in the yellow square there too, met a good 25 people there who was also in the Florence one too.
I loved the fact that there were free activities in the evening which is a perfect way to meet people! The rooms were clean and got properly cleaned every day!
Lovely social area, met great people
This was my first ever time staying at any type of hostel, the facilitys were realy Nice, i liked al the planned activities such as the games night (wich i won multiple times btw😂). Overal vibe was realtime good, would definetly visit again in the future.
the welcomming was very fast and without any troubles. The only thing that could have been better is the cleaness of the bathroom in our room
Nice place with a swimming pool on the rooftop perfect after a long day!
The staff was so nice and there are different type of activities.
The best hostel I’ve stayed at in my 4 months of travel. So easy to meet other solo traveler’s through the common areas, hostel activities, and rooftop pool area. Comfortable temperature in rooms and comfortable beds, with a clean and working bathroom and shower. No complaints from my 5 night stay.
Was really nice
I was only there for two nights, but it’s probably the prettiest hostel I’ve ever been to. Free pasta is such a good oportunity to meet new people – I had a lot of fun. Would recommend the hostel 10/10. ((:
the yellowsquare is nice. they only have three locations- one at rome, milan and florence. the atmosphere were nice, both indoor and outdoor. we stayed in a 6 beds room and it had really nice bathroom. however some lockers cannot close so i had to make loud noise banging to get my lock off.
Is incredible the staff treatment all the time your there. The room is in good condition and also the community areas
As a hostel, it is the best, on staff quality and in structural. Installations are the best. Bedrooms, rooms and bathrooms are really good equipment and really clean.
Holy water should be colder and the bathroom situation is not perfect but apart from that it was great.
I had an incredible experience staying at YellowSquare Rooms in Rome! The facilities provided by the host were top-notch, and the staff were welcoming and supportive throughout my stay. The kitchen facility was exceptionally well-equipped, making self-catering a breeze. Even during a brief wait upon arrival, the staff thoughtfully provided tokens and invited us to relax in the waiting room, which was stocked with a great selection of books – a lovely touch!
My stay was truly wonderful, and the memories will linger whenever I think of my Rome trip. The room was immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, and super-fast WiFi. Each bed had personalized charging points and bed lamps, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
Safety was a top priority, with three layers of secure access – entrance, floor entrance, and room entrance – all protected by our personal safety lock keys. This gave us complete peace of mind when leaving our belongings in the room. Additionally, each bed had a large, secure locker with individual locking facilities and a private, numbered locker for valuable items like cash and passports.
Overall, my two-day stay at YellowSquare Rooms was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. The facilities, staff, and amenities all deserve a full rating. If you’re looking for a comfortable, secure, and welcoming place to stay in Rome, look no further than YellowSquare Rooms!
The facilities were excellent including the bonus of a pool with an amazing view of the city. There were plenty of organised events which offered opportunities to try new things and meet new people. Happy hour and free pasta were a great part of the experience also. The rooms were comfortable and clean. They had separate toilets and showers making it easy to work around your room mates, full length mirror, hairdryer, bathroom storage for your products and lockers for your bags. Our room also has a balcony.
I rarely leave reviews for anything, but YellowSquare is something where a review is needed. Those were the best four days in my life. Was it hot? You could go to the pool and swim. Did you want a night read outside? The working bar and the outdoor terrace was there. The women I shared the room were the sweetest girls and we went out to explore the city one morning.
The prices for food and drinks are also reasonable. A huge breakfast for just 10€ is a backpacker’s dream. And the staff… I don’t know their names, but every one of them (especially the bartenders) are the nicest and funniest people you can meet.
Usually I book hostels because I need a bed, since I usually just spend the night there and leave. Here… I actually had moments when I thought what is better – going out or staying in the hostel 😂
Also the accessibility to the centre is amazing – just a 5 minute walk to get the T2 tram 🙂
Great location, clean room and bathroom. Nice breakfast and garden. Free use of co-working space is a great thing. Locker availability too. Friendly staff with a willingness to help.
I enjoyed my brief 14-hour stay. The complimentary perks, such as the free drink and pasta, were a highlight. However, I wish there was a more budget-friendly option for short stays without those extras. As I had other commitments during the 6-8:30 pm window, I felt guilty for not utilizing the perks. Nonetheless, I look forward to booking a longer stay in the future.
The staff are very kind and helpful, their organization of the activities brought people together so that I was never truly alone in Florence
Overall it was pretty good. The staff was very kind and the facilities were nice and clean.
The water drain system is worse in my dorm room.
