YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
Such a lovely social place! The free pasta and welcome drink was wonderful and I met lots of nice people. Loved the spacious bunks with electricity.
Okay for 1 night, nice bar
Really friendly staff who go above and beyond to cater you stay. Prime location with lots of local amenities. Would deffo return and would recommend
Originally I planned to stay at another hostel, but missed any spaces, so I chose this one instead and did not regret it. I thought I may have been to old to stay at such a hip cool place but fit in absolutely fine. Reception staff were lovely. Cheap towel rental with a free little bag. A free beer on arrival, and free pasta and tortillas! Good random activities you can get involved with. Great bar. Beds are solid and don’t squeak or anything. Simple safe. Personally I don’t like the bathroom to be in the room, but oh well. Great location near to the train station. Walking distance to everywhere. Water fountain outside. All good really
You can tell this is a quite big and professional hostel. Everything is very clean an well-organised, but it doesn’t have this cosy atmosphere you get in smaller hostels. The breakfast was amazing though and the events were nice. Point of improvement: curtains for the beds.
I loved but in the night I Arrived i was really pissed that you were out of towels.
The hostel was really great. The events were great and I felt safe in the area. It’s not far from the metro, but it takes a bit of time to walk to the center. Met lots of nice people. Only the 4-bed room for women is a bit small. Still one of my favorite trips so far. Thank you!
I like the hostel. The beds was confortably, the bar was fun, the staff was kind, the breakfast a bit expensive, but… I like very much the guitar in the common area, unfortunely I couldn’t play, but it seems like a great idea.
In my view, YellowSquare seems to be a very active hostel. You guys host something everyday that helps in connecting with other people. The staff was super amazing, had a nice interaction with one of them. Cleanliness, my top priority, was there and it was well maintained.
Overpriced stay – room was very tiny, uncomfortable furnitures – metal chair in the room – really? It is extremely uncomfortable to sit on a metal chair with holes! Room was black end depressive. Lack of heating – I got sick. The music in the reception room was so loud that it was unpleasant to sit there. You cannot even enjoy a cup of coffee. Not even tea or coffee included in the price – what a shame. Everyone in the hall outside was smoking, it was uncomfortable to walk there everytime. The kitchen stinked and there was only ONE Spoon !! No mugs in the kitchen. The stay was so uncomfortable I higly regret being there. Never, ever would come back there.
The private room was fine. Clean and simple and cleaned every day. The best part was the international mix of people.
I loved the room, it was cozy, the sheets were clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
The location was also great, not far away.
HAving been to a couple of hostels in Italy, this was a good hostel and the atmosphere was great, social enough and very cool.
Great place and facilities with kitchen, lounge and co-working space. The only thing I’d say is in my particular building there was only 1 toilet and 1 shower between 18 people. I went to another building in D and they had 3 toilets and showers for the same amount of people and in the reception building also had more.
The place is very lovely, everyone is helping, great vibes only my room was too small I booked with 4 sleeps.
The rooms and bathrooms were clean, as well as the kitchen which had enough space in the fridge to store your food and eat calmly. The staff was nice, and the free pasta every night was a great plus. Easy access to the tram to go to the city center.
Amazing staff, great environment, the bar is super cool. Would visit again!!
Amazing time at yellowsquare, meeting people and having good times and memories.
thanks A lot
Way too expensive for this level of confort. Social areas are in a separated building from the dorms we were staying in, which does not invite to experience them that much…
Dorms are OK but still waaaaay too expensive for a hostel, shared bathroom are very low standard. I do not recommend if you are not in here for socializing
The room was very small, 4 beds – we couldn’t stand up in the room. While one of us was getting ready to leave, the three of us had to wait in the beds. Also, the room smelled very bad and was very warm
The location is pretty good nearby to the subway station. The room was pretty small for 4 beds but it’s okay. The only problem about the room was that the bed didn’t have curtains.
My frustration with the hostel was about the comedy show that happens on Wednesday. They were very racist and homophobic during the comedy show. I went to the receptionist and complained about it.
I wouldn’t stay again. It’s unacceptable that in 2024 we still having this kind of “comedy”.
Great Hostel! I stayed previously in the YellowSquare Rome and just had the best time so wanted to come to the one in Florence. Great social life, events, bar and free pasta! I met some great people and participated in most events in the evenings. Easy to meet people, loved the rooftop pool and view. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Perfect place to meet people and make new friends. Would 100% recommend- great location also from the airport can get the tram direct and walk about 3 minutes to the hostel. About a 30 minute walk from the main city. Area felt relatively safe for a solo female traveller. Onto Milan next time to complete the YellowSquare trio!
It’s truly amazing at yellow square🥰
This place was its own building and it sort of felt like a resort which was great!
The staff were all nice and I liked that you had a welcome drink and they offered free pasta (which I never took advantage of).
The rooms were clean and they have events and activities everyday which is good for younger travellers.
The only negative feedback I had is that the water pressure in my room was terrible. It would barely spit out water when showering. I also got breakfast on my last day and there was a bug crawling around which was not a good sign of the cleanliness of the kitchen.
I’ve had a great experience at this hostel. The rooms surprised me (just like a hotel with a toilet and shower for every room). Also the modern and hygienic experience made it pleasant. On top of that, there was a really nice atmosphere among the guests and I’ve had a real good time.
Nice play to stay, very convenient and good location
The experience was great, the hospitality of the staff is good, they always help if you need it. For example they recommend us a near pharmacy and help us in how to get to the airport. Our room was clean and looked very conformable, counted with nice installations. Definitely I would stay again.
It was really amazing experience, super clean, helpful, full of activities and staff was just awesome.
I appreciated that it is clean and tidy, U have the opportunity tó socialize with other people, there are certain events they are organizing for tourists, which i highly recommend, either If its about an icecream tour őr about a karaoke night. It is öné of the best spot in milan If You are a Young traveller, either If You are alone őr with friends.
The experience was really great, the staff was very kind, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms too. The laundromat was a savior and the price was fair.
Great social atmosphere, met some really cool fellow solo travelers, I stayed in 4 bed female drop and it was comfortable with AC and ensuite and clean
While being very busy, staff were always friendly and happy to help. It has many facilities and provides many opportunities for guests to interact with new people during events and games. Beds were comfortable and are happy to make more private by providing a curtain (flat sheet) on request.
The people at the front desk were great. There was a mix up with the room that was a bit uncomfortable that they resolved very quickly
However, there was a man who came into the all female dorm pretty late at night to change a bed noone was sleeping it. That probably could have waited until morning.
Also I appreciated being able to leave my luggage there before check in.
Overall I didn’t stay long but it was fine.
Amazing vibes
The hostel is huge and has multiple locations depending on the type of dorm/room you have. Some rooms are bigger even though they are the same type (4 female dorm). Love that they have free pasta every day, but laundromat is way too small, not enough machines to use when it gets busy.
It would have been perfect if there’s curtain for individual bed.
The hostel is clean and the beds are very confortable. Good experience
Excellent hostel – really enjoyed it. In particular:
1) Nice social atmosphere
2) Clean modern rooms and bathrooms – I liked also how they had extra toilets on the ground floor
3) Nice food
4) Amazing rooftop views
I would actually have preferred staying here to a stuffy old hotel in the city centre, if given the choice!
Also can you please open a hostel near Venice!
