YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
Everything was perfect, the staff is sweet, the rooms clean, there are a lot of accomodities and the atmosphere is really cool, I 100% recommend !
Plus the location is really good, near the metro and every attraction you might want to do 😊
The hostel is great! The staff in the recepction and in the bar are very friendly and informative and the rooms were clean and very equiped, with the lockers being really big (I stayed at the four mixed people room). Also, the location next to Roma Termini made it easier to get around the city, and the free pasta offer was a reaaally great addition to the experience
Ive visiting yellow square a few times in Rome. This was always a very nice experience.
Not this time, they closed the club in the basement end replaced it with beerpong and kareoky. Even on saturday nights when it is very bad organised. Ive met some nice people like i always do, but next time a different hostel.
Clean, safe, fun, with a study place and a common kitchen and events! For such a price, its crazy! Recommended!
Staying at this hostel made me regret not staying in Milan longer. Clean, spacious rooms, with all the amenities you need, including lockers and safes. Friendly staff, beautiful ambience in common rooms and locker storage for after check-out. Looking forward to staying here again.
It was my first time staying in a hostel, and it couldn’t be better! Beautiful building and rooms, amazing and kind staff, great community, very close to the centre, spotless sheets, rooms and toilets. Great breakfast and food in general. Worth every penny, great experience. I totally recommend.
I stayed at yellowsquare 3 nights in Milan and to be honest, its exactly what I was expecting. Facilities were decently clean and everyone was respectful. The staff were amazing. The only thing I could complain about but was not a big deal in the end was when I got there, I was assigned bunk number 3 to sleep in and when I got to my room, someone was sleeping in my bed. Luckily, there was another open bed in the room so I just took it and let the staff know. Other than that it was good!
Would recommend to friends going to milan.
Friendly staff good facilities
Amazing young hostel with perfect Bed and full of super people. I really like yellow bar below and a free drink and pasta.
YellowSquare is an excellent choice for solo travellers, doesn’t matter whether you like to socialize or prefer to be on your own. I took a private room for myself for two nights. I was prepared for a loud night with interrupted sleep (looking at reviews of people staying in the private rooms), but I have to say it’s really not bad. Bear in mind I went on weekdays. The reception is very welcoming, doubling as a bar/resto/lounge area. Staff was very helpful with everything. Breakfast was amazing.
I had a great stay with you! Everyone is very friendly, I liked the big room, which I had mostly for myself, I enjoyed the free pasta
I couldn’t sleep because when people arrive or even moved in the beds there was a lot of noise when touching all the surroundings of the bed.
Horrible night with metal sounds
Nice staff, nice people, nice rooms, fun activities and very helpful.
The staff was really helpful and nice. The room was clean and cozy, it had all the basics you might need – shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, safe and lockers, bed linens. There were two options for breakfast – you might order from a menu or you might cook for yourself. The hostel was just a few minutes walk from three different supermarkets and it was also really close to metro and tram stations.
Staff was very welcoming and friendly, room was clean and felt safe, very lively and comfortable atmosphere!
It was my first experience in a hostel and I loved it. They gave us perfect accomodation when we asked to be grouped with our friends. The hostel was very clean and was well equiped.
Such a good hostel, would recommend to anyone! There are frequent activities, you meet a lot of people, really fun time! Definitly coming back!!
I stayed in YellowSquare for 4 nights and my overall experience was really good. The room was clean and had all the necessary items. Staff was nice and both check-in/check-out process’ were easy. The only issue I had was the door slamming sound during the night. Whenever someone entered to the floor and closed the door I’d wake up. There were free ear plugs in reception to use. They prevented all the other sounds except the sound of the door but I have asked my roommates and they said they didn’t hear it during the night. If you are a lightsleeper that may be a problem but other than that it was all fine. All the other travelers I have met were nice and never had any safety problems.
We had a lovely stay. Friendly staff and nice environment. Although it’s a bit noisy at night, we will still choose to stay here again.
I stayed in the Yellowsquare hostel in October and I loved it there, so I decided to give Milan a quick visit as well. In only two days I made friends for life, everyone was so nice! The staff was also really sweet and easy going. I’d recommend your hostels to anyone! Love from the Netherlands 🙂
We had a wonderful experience at Yellowsquare. The atmosphere was warm a. welcoming, making it a perfect place to stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always ready to assist with a smile 😃. Their hospitality a. attention to detail made our stay truly comfortable. The rooms were clean, the facilities we’ll maintained, a. the overall ambiance was inviting. We highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
Thanks for everything!
I really likes the hostel, I loved the elevator, the lockers in the room and the hospitality of the staff.
I would only recommend having a curtain in each bed in the shared rooms for more privacy.
I stayed in the 4-girl-dorm which was really small. But it wasn’t expensive either and the curtains provided some privacy. Also the hostel offers lots of communal space to share which I used to study in. Would go again and recommend to other people.
I Always have an Amazing time at YellowSquare, Rome! (Private Room)
Adding a few bus tours, Shopping, Both Local and Fine dining,
and ending several nights at The Yellow Club, Made for THE Complete
Magnificent, Rome experience!
the hostel being in two separate buildings, both with stairs, was not very good. also the shower being separate from the bathroom was kinda bothering cause it lacked space.
Check in and check out was super easy and nice. Accomodations offered good amount of storage room and convenient ways to maintain privacy and safety, even in dorms.
I stayed in a 4 person all female room with a ensuite bathroom…..The only thing that would make this property better is if the beds had privacy curtains. Other than that, everything was great.
Such a fabulous stay- location is great, the facilities and rooms are clean, tidy and nice, and their is always a social gathering happening.
Yellowsquare was a great hostel. Staff were friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. There was something for everyone and I really enjoyed my time staying here.
Wow, it was my first hostel stay and what a peasant stay it was.. Hostel staff was supper friendly and helpful.. the vibe were there and all the facilities were nice. Room were clean with nice small code locker on bed too.. overall good comfort and oh yeah they have the nice yellow bar to chill and party…
Big space of the room and keep bathroom clean everyday, have good taste of the bar and restaurante, and very enjoy the free pasta every night.
Very good hostel keep it up
Yellow square is a good option for staying in Rome, because the price is just, and it’s near to Roma Termini. The beds are okay.
The kitchen is a mess, and it’s not because the cleaning lady doesn’t do her job, it’s because the guests always leave everything dirty and steal other people’s food. The bar is very noisy all nights.
Everything is perfect, rooms, bathrooms, staff, free drink and pasta. Thank you guys.
The hospitality was so nice and helpful. It was really easy and quick to reach out from their Whatsapp line. I could ask about anything I wanted to now, they were so kind and patient. The rooms and the toilets were clean and safe. Great activities almost every night that made me have a lot of friends from all over the world. Its also located in a nice area the metro was 5 mins by walking. I would recommend yellowsquare to anyone
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience I had during my stay at your hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, from the quality of service to the cleanliness and the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere.
You have truly set a great example of excellence and professionalism. I wish you continued success and prosperity. I look forward to staying with you again in the future and will gladly recommend your hotel to my friends
Wishing you all the best in continuing to provide such exceptional experiences.
Warm regards,
Yellowsquare was a really fun vibe, very clean, with lockers for each guest in each room. Towels aren’t free but you get a cute little tote bag with a towel for 1 euro. They host fun events to promote socializing and give you a drink ticket to use. The food was mediocre. 3 min walk to the subway station and close to food/grocery. Overall great vibes I would suggest to anyone!
