YellowSquare Reviews: Milan
Located in the heart of the Porta Romana district, YellowSquare Milan offers female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms. Instead of a formal office, we have The Baretto, a laptop-friendly space where you can work, study, and eat during the day before it turns into an aperitivo and social meeting spot. Salone14 is our events hub in Milan, it's a local 'it-spot' where travelers and locals meet for live music, DJ sets, stand-up comedy, karaoke, and creative projects, it's more like a nightlife without leaving the hostel.
Had a very pleasant experience, staff was very nice & helpful. Rooms were clean, just a bit of mold in the showers but apart from that I enjoyed it.
This was my first solo, travel experience and I had a wonderful time. There were many social events to meet people and the room was very nice and clean. The location is great because you are so close to the city center. I would definitely go back.
It’s missing the most important aspect you can offer to your travelers in shared bedrooms: the privacy, with a simple fabric you can provide privacy, cheap and easy to implement.
Overall experience is great. Clean, enough space, many facilities and friendly people.
My room was nearby the lift and even as a private one there was not enough sounding isolation, plus the other visitors clearly did not care about making massive noise around 3am or 4am. Despite this clear lack of respect everything else was ok although I did not try the food and drinks being on Lent.
had good service, everything was as advertised. met some nice people. lock and towel were very cheap. aula bar was nice too
Friendly people, comfortable bed, great piazzeta, cheap bar good location. Pricey, but the whole of Milan is
YellowSquare Milano is an exemple of a great hostel : well located 5min walk from a metro station or 30min from the Duomo, rooms are clean and well organised (curtain if requested, locker, individual light and a ledge). Bathroom was also clean, with a little heater for the towels. The night is quite, I did not even have to use earplugs.
Bar/restaurant on ground floor is also a great place, food is good and layout is usefull to work in peace or meet new people. I did not participate to the activities but I know their is something available every night.
Cheep hostel, but good quality. The sheets were really clean and the ambiance was very nice. I met some very nice people and I had amazing time
Great experience and very nice team.
Juste one problem : noisy people speaking loud lately in the corridors by night… 🙁
I would 100% stay again. Clean, close to centre, lively
The hostel offers a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere, perfect for solo travelers. Every evening, events are organized, making it easy to meet other guests. There are plenty of well-maintained common areas, and the cleanliness throughout the place is excellent. Plus, the option to eat on-site at affordable prices is a big bonus. Security is top-notch, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
We absolutely loved it. We were given an upgrade from the 4 bed mixed dorm to a private room. The room was absolutely beautiful and it had Books and a cool fact about turtles. The entire hostel was really cool with a party room as well. Wish we had more time to spend in the hostel and meet more cool people. The staff was also really helpful and the luggage storage facility was also really convenient.
I was there for four days, the staff is super helpful, they’re really going out of their way to aid you in whatever you need (from food recs to firguting out the metro to earplugs, anything!!!)
The rooms are clean, tidy.
The drinks at the hostel bar are great, I loved that there are so many activities around and from the hostel so that you can always join in and meet new people. The coworking space is superb too!
Really nice people, clean rooms with everything you need, and a lovely atmosphere in the communal area !
The atmosphere here really brought a lot of people together. While I was staying I had a group of 6-10 people, depending on the night, that would all hang together, it was a blast!
room good but could be a little bit bigger
otherwise fine
We had a really nice stay in this hostel. The rooms were nice and the facilities in the building were good. There was a nice breakfast available. Kind staff. The only thing that could be improved was the fact that there was some mold in the shower.
Everything was perfect, the staff is sweet, the rooms clean, there are a lot of accomodities and the atmosphere is really cool, I 100% recommend !
Plus the location is really good, near the metro and every attraction you might want to do 😊
Staying at this hostel made me regret not staying in Milan longer. Clean, spacious rooms, with all the amenities you need, including lockers and safes. Friendly staff, beautiful ambience in common rooms and locker storage for after check-out. Looking forward to staying here again.
I stayed at yellowsquare 3 nights in Milan and to be honest, its exactly what I was expecting. Facilities were decently clean and everyone was respectful. The staff were amazing. The only thing I could complain about but was not a big deal in the end was when I got there, I was assigned bunk number 3 to sleep in and when I got to my room, someone was sleeping in my bed. Luckily, there was another open bed in the room so I just took it and let the staff know. Other than that it was good!
Would recommend to friends going to milan.
YellowSquare is an excellent choice for solo travellers, doesn’t matter whether you like to socialize or prefer to be on your own. I took a private room for myself for two nights. I was prepared for a loud night with interrupted sleep (looking at reviews of people staying in the private rooms), but I have to say it’s really not bad. Bear in mind I went on weekdays. The reception is very welcoming, doubling as a bar/resto/lounge area. Staff was very helpful with everything. Breakfast was amazing.
I couldn’t sleep because when people arrive or even moved in the beds there was a lot of noise when touching all the surroundings of the bed.
Horrible night with metal sounds
Nice staff, nice people, nice rooms, fun activities and very helpful.
It was my first experience in a hostel and I loved it. They gave us perfect accomodation when we asked to be grouped with our friends. The hostel was very clean and was well equiped.
The staff was really helpful and nice. The room was clean and cozy, it had all the basics you might need – shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper, safe and lockers, bed linens. There were two options for breakfast – you might order from a menu or you might cook for yourself. The hostel was just a few minutes walk from three different supermarkets and it was also really close to metro and tram stations.
We had a wonderful experience at Yellowsquare. The atmosphere was warm a. welcoming, making it a perfect place to stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, always ready to assist with a smile 😃. Their hospitality a. attention to detail made our stay truly comfortable. The rooms were clean, the facilities we’ll maintained, a. the overall ambiance was inviting. We highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
I stayed in the Yellowsquare hostel in October and I loved it there, so I decided to give Milan a quick visit as well. In only two days I made friends for life, everyone was so nice! The staff was also really sweet and easy going. I’d recommend your hostels to anyone! Love from the Netherlands 🙂
I stayed in the 4-girl-dorm which was really small. But it wasn’t expensive either and the curtains provided some privacy. Also the hostel offers lots of communal space to share which I used to study in. Would go again and recommend to other people.
Check in and check out was super easy and nice. Accomodations offered good amount of storage room and convenient ways to maintain privacy and safety, even in dorms.
I stayed in a 4 person all female room with a ensuite bathroom…..The only thing that would make this property better is if the beds had privacy curtains. Other than that, everything was great.
Such a fabulous stay- location is great, the facilities and rooms are clean, tidy and nice, and their is always a social gathering happening.
Yellowsquare was a great hostel. Staff were friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. There was something for everyone and I really enjoyed my time staying here.
The hospitality was so nice and helpful. It was really easy and quick to reach out from their Whatsapp line. I could ask about anything I wanted to now, they were so kind and patient. The rooms and the toilets were clean and safe. Great activities almost every night that made me have a lot of friends from all over the world. Its also located in a nice area the metro was 5 mins by walking. I would recommend yellowsquare to anyone
Yellowsquare was a really fun vibe, very clean, with lockers for each guest in each room. Towels aren’t free but you get a cute little tote bag with a towel for 1 euro. They host fun events to promote socializing and give you a drink ticket to use. The food was mediocre. 3 min walk to the subway station and close to food/grocery. Overall great vibes I would suggest to anyone!
Really liked the place, great rooms and especially balkony, bar was nice too and the table games was a great way to spend the evening, I personally liked to paint on the bags, which was also a fun activity. Thanks a lot!
We will go back again when we visit Milano. It was a great experience. Thank you for everything
