YellowSquare Reviews: Rome
YellowSquare Rome is located a 10-minute walk from the city center and is a solo-traveler friendly base. We offer female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms for all types of travelers. If you need to get work done, Smartsquare is our professional coworking space. For food and social vibes, Yellow Bar is our main restaurant and events hub, while the Arcade hosts stand-up comedy and activities in the basement. It’s the perfect place to meet travellers, grab a drink, go for stroll with new friends and connect with our global community.
I was in the waiting room until my check-in time and the room had the air conditioning turned up too high. I asked them to lower it but they told me that they couldn’t do it due to policy. Because of the very cold air, I got sick with the flu and a cough. I find it very inconsiderate towards the guests.
Such a lovely social place! The free pasta and welcome drink was wonderful and I met lots of nice people. Loved the spacious bunks with electricity.
Okay for 1 night, nice bar
Really friendly staff who go above and beyond to cater you stay. Prime location with lots of local amenities. Would deffo return and would recommend
I loved but in the night I Arrived i was really pissed that you were out of towels.
I loved the room, it was cozy, the sheets were clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
The location was also great, not far away.
Great place and facilities with kitchen, lounge and co-working space. The only thing I’d say is in my particular building there was only 1 toilet and 1 shower between 18 people. I went to another building in D and they had 3 toilets and showers for the same amount of people and in the reception building also had more.
The place is very lovely, everyone is helping, great vibes only my room was too small I booked with 4 sleeps.
It’s truly amazing at yellow square🥰
Amazing staff, great environment, the bar is super cool. Would visit again!!
Amazing time at yellowsquare, meeting people and having good times and memories.
thanks A lot
Way too expensive for this level of confort. Social areas are in a separated building from the dorms we were staying in, which does not invite to experience them that much…
Dorms are OK but still waaaaay too expensive for a hostel, shared bathroom are very low standard. I do not recommend if you are not in here for socializing
Nice play to stay, very convenient and good location
The people at the front desk were great. There was a mix up with the room that was a bit uncomfortable that they resolved very quickly
However, there was a man who came into the all female dorm pretty late at night to change a bed noone was sleeping it. That probably could have waited until morning.
Also I appreciated being able to leave my luggage there before check in.
Overall I didn’t stay long but it was fine.
The hostel is clean and the beds are very confortable. Good experience
Amazing vibes
The hostel is huge and has multiple locations depending on the type of dorm/room you have. Some rooms are bigger even though they are the same type (4 female dorm). Love that they have free pasta every day, but laundromat is way too small, not enough machines to use when it gets busy.
It would have been perfect if there’s curtain for individual bed.
First time in hostels and went with yellowsquare. Cant complain the social side of hostels is amazing but the dorms wasnt the best. The dorms at florence seem better than rome. Overall i was happy n would go back.
YellowSquare Rome is a really nice hostel! Less than 10min from the train station, which makes it easy when arriving. The staff is really welcoming and smiling, whether it is at the reception or at the bar. A lot of free activities are offered, as well as free pasta and a free drink on arrival. The dorms are clean, the only drawback is that since everything is in metal in the rooms (bed, lockers, chairs,…), it makes it difficult to be silent when coming late at night or leaving early in the morning. But that is only detail, if you want silence book a private room!
dirty bathrooms, bad shower, the hot water cools down during the shower, there is no ideal place to hang your clothes inside the bathroom, which causes clothes to get wet from the splashes of water from the shower. The room stank, due to the air conditioning. bunk beds without curtains for more privacy. For the amount they charge per day, it definitely left something to be desired.
It was so easy to make friends. Either in your room or more likely down in the bar. The facilities were great, I especially loved the music corner where I‘ve had a jam session with other travellers. Location is good due to the two metro stations close by. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 4-bed female only dorm. The bathroom could have been bigger, it was quite small. It did make us a bit uncomfortable that the room service would just burst into your room directly after knocking on the door at strange hours. Apart from that I had a very pleasant stay. 10/10
nice
I got my cellphone stolen from my bed while sleeping. The 2 guys Just left the room in the dawn. It was a 4 People mixed room.
The guy at The reception was nice trying to help. But then call the supervisor and she was incredibly cold and hostile. I had my Credit cards blocked for a few hours and the only thing that she was afraid is that i “could not stay there for free so would have to get my things out of the room”. I Was very sad about the incident, but really more sad of the way she treated me. Zero empathy.
Location is good, near central station n mrt, it is in strategic area
I got new fun friends as they are my roommate
Storage bagages is allowed before check in time and it’s free.
A very clean and fun hostel overall.
The hostel was great, clean and good service, good location too right by the termini station. I’m giving it 7 out of 10 because it is way too expensive for what you pay for, the services were good but the price is similar to a hotel and not as clean like a hotel.
Overall experience was good as the stuff was friendly the location is very useful as close to the main Central station and the Hostel had many amenities. However, the prices for breakfast and drinks were a bit high.
The stay at yellow square was very confortable, the staff were very attentive and I felt secure all the time.
YellowSquare has everything one would want from a hostel. Very social athmosphere making it super easy to meet people
They were small bugs all over the room
Good rooms and facilities and a super social hostel!
The rooms are not very clean. The bed is comfortable but the bunk beds are metal so you hit yourself so many times during the night and make A LOT of noise. Bathrooms are extremely small, you can’t even sit down properly in the toilet because your legs don’t fit. It’s
Hostel was nice and tidy, nice atmosphere and good social aspect, good amenities and staff were all super friendly
My time in Rome was amazing and mostly because of Yellow, will never forget the experiences and friends i made there 🙂
I loved the fact that there were free activities in the evening which is a perfect way to meet people! The rooms were clean and got properly cleaned every day!
