YellowSquare Reviews
YellowSquare is more than a hostel; it’s an international community designed for travelers who want to connect, work, and hang out. Across our locations in Italy and Greece, we provide female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms, alongside working spaces and daily activities. Definitely not a boring hostel. From working over a coffee to evening events in our venues, we create a active atmosphere where locals and travelers meet and make friends. Every YellowSquare is a gateway to the city, focused on social vibes and the right place to meet people.
A brand new hostel, with many activities offered every day. It has different rooms, each of them with a specific purpose. I got to work in the meeting room, without being disturbed. The cuisine is excellent and the staff is always ready to help you.
I truly appreciate that there was an event happening at the hostel every night. The location of the hostel seemed quite bad on first impression as the way to the city center involves quite a lot of traffic but in the end the location was actually quite alright as there was good access to the tram. The staff was decently friendly and everything was clean. Overall a good experience, but the missing washing machines where disappointing.
Really nice hostel.
Very friendly staff.
Rooms and facilities new.
Nice rooftop + pool, great vibe
Convenient location
I really liked the place and the facilities were good (breakfast was great). Although I didn’t attend any of the extra activities, I thought it was really fun that they were organised. On the downside though, we had to share one shower with eight people. Maybe there were other (communal) showers, but then I’d suggest putting up a sign on the bathroom door, telling you where to go for extra showers. Another thing was that I couldn’t really find a good place to have a phone call without disturbing anyone of being disturbed. The communal area was really loud, and in the meeting rooms people tried to work. Eventually I settled for outside, but that wasn’t great either. So maybe you can create a space where people can talk/have phone calls in peace, without having to disturb others or being disturbed (by e.g. loud music or one of those activities). That would be great.
So overall I really liked this hostel and it has definitely been my favourite of all the hostels I have attended lately (I’m travelling Europe for a month, so I’ve experienced quite some hostels by now). It has a few minor improvement points, but a hostel doesn’t have to be perfect 🙂
Was really great. I love the beds.
I came to stay here for a conference that I had to be in Fiesole for every morning at 9 am. This was not the ideal place to stay, I would have loved this environment had I been just on a holiday but that was my fault rather than the hostel! The staff was super lovely and the place brand new, just chose wrong for purpose of trip.
Lovely facilities, freidbly staff, cute vibes. Nice food from the kitchen with affordable prices. Cute rooftop bar and never went in the club, but had lots of activities all week
The only thing I can complain is that beds have metal everywhere so you feel in a cage that sounds like it every time you barely touch it
clean room, friednly staff, nice openminded people, cool activities
As a solo female traveler, this accommodation was wonderful. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was clean, organized, and well thought-out. The social atmosphere here was very comfortable, accepting, friendly, and fun. The bar/cafe staff was great. Check-out was also easy. They stored my luggage after check-out until later in the day. Outdoor space was relaxing. Bonus: My taxi driver at the airport knew exactly where the Yellow Square was (must be a popular destination).
The place is amazing and the staff is so great, all the experience was really enjoyable. Will definitely stay there another time.
Great location and comfortable rooms.. overall experience wonderful. Very lively and everyone so entergetic. Just loved their involvement. Highly recommend and if ever back will stay again. Very very good..
i stayed at yellowsquare florence in two separate bookings on two separate days. the second visit was extremely streamlined as i basically needed a bed for the day in between my travels. the amenities were great. rooftop pool beautiful. the restaurant didnt offer any gluten free options but the coffee and cocktails were superb. the location was very easily accessible from the airport and also into city centre. when i go to florence i know i can rely on the space and amenities at yellowsquare. thank you all for your help during my visit.
For a hostel, it’s really great !
There is bar, pool, club. So even more than everything you need.
If you like to party it will be your perfect place.
If you dont, you’ll still enjoy the bar and the dorm.
Staff is really great
Everything was so so good! The vibe with this hostel is so nice!! I really enjoyed a lot, the rooms was so nice and clean! The staff so nice also!
The stay at the YellowSquare Hotel was great. The cleanliness is 10. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. Good space to rest, no noise. It is not in the city centre, but it is easily accessible and it is no problem to walk. I would definitely come back. I recommend it 100%. The staff working in the hotel are generally young and very friendly.
Going to this hostel was one of the best experiences I ever had. Being in a place close to the center while it is designed beautifully and clean is something rare. From the moment I got there the crew was extremely nice and always willing to help. They organized activities for us like karaoke night, a pool party and trivia night which helped meeting amazing friends for the journey and for life. Being there feels completely safe thanks to the fact that each individual has a locker, a safe box. The bathrooms are supper clean, the locks work perfectly and it is one per room so you have privacy.
If you like clubbing but don’t like walking at night then don’t worry because there is a club as well as a bar and even a community kitchen if you want to prepare your food. By the minute you get there you feel as if you’ve known the people for a while already, the vibes are great and you enjoy an amazing vacation thanks to the amazing crew who cares so much and the guests who are open for meeting people.
Amazing COstumer experience, everyone is really client focused, the room really good.
I loved my stay at the yellow in florence. One year ago i stayed in the yellow square in rome and when i saw there was one in florence i wanted to go there aswell. And it did not dissapoint. The new building was clean and the rooms were really nice and spacious. I loved the Rooftop terace and it was easy to meet new people considering the activities they had going on every day. I also really enjoyed the food options the offered.
I quite enjoyed my stay in the Florence Yellowsquare. It is definitely a place I would recommend to my friends who are thinking of visiting Florence. The location is close to the city centre either by tram or walking. The staff was friendly and helpful. You get to meet a lot of nice and interesting people in the communal spaces and events.
The best you can get for the price.
Facilities in general are OK.
Kitchen OK.
Staff needs to get more experience.
All great! breakfast, cleanliness, comfort of the bed, bathroom
Such a lovely hostel, everywhere is so clean and well maintained, staff are all so lovely and friendly. There are events each night so it’s easy to meet people and there’s even a night club downstairs!! The pool area is also lovely with a great view.
A very modern and tidy hostel. Good possibilities to get breakfast, lunch or dinner, join the events and have a drink at the bar. Food could be a bit cheaper. It’s a quite big hostel and the personal contact with the staff felt more distant and less personal.
Fantastic place to stay, very recommended
A great Hostel with great staff and good opportunities for getting to know funny new people from allover the world.
The shower drain was a big deal, I honestly can’t understand how stuff from the hostel did not take the issue a little bit more seriously… If the shower floods the room and soacks guests belonging you should know to take actions: change their room, issue a refund, call a plumber… Not just apologise and get the cleaners to do a very superficial cleaning… Some man who worked there even tried to blame me saying I must have kept my foot on the drain! Nonsense!
Also, carefu with stereotypes because some comments can sound xenophobic.
We had the best time, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the building is incredible, clean modern rooms, stunning view from the pool good range of activities to help you make friends and get to know the city, we would love to come back again!!
The rooms, the building, the staff, everything was awesome. This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Loved the rooftop pool, loved the activities, loved the parties. I can’t wait to stay at Yellowsquare again.
First hostel experience and loved it! Had a private room – spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. Loved the kitchen and outdoor area! They also put on events for the guests which was fun to meet others. Staff are super nice too! Would definitely recommend.
I couldnt fault anything. They went above and beyond. Everything was so clean and in great condition. Amazing amazing amazing.
Everything was great, beds are comfortable, clean, new, the staff is nice, good people
This was probably my best experience in a hostel.
The staff was amazingly warm chill and happy to serve you. The facilities looked brand new, very nice design and very clean. Many places to hang out. They organize social activities everyday. Very nice pool on the rooftop. The kitchen I didn’t use it but saw that it had enough capacity. They even have a party club. The rooms were amazing, very well designed, very good ventilation, the structure of the bunker beds were very stiff so they didn’t shake and there are lockers and safes. The beds were also very confy. The only not so good thing was that it is a bit boring to walk to the city center which is like 12 minutes away, but since you are very likely to make friends, you won’t have to walk them alone.
This is by far one of the best hostels I stayed in.
The maintenance was really good, staff super friendly and the building was excellent.
The pool is a GREAT add-on!
It was amazing ! Great people and rooms are comfortable there is a swimming pool on a rooftop with an amazing view of the city !
I recommend
