YellowSquare Reviews: Florence
YellowSquare Florence provides female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms. We have an easy working space in the shared areas where you can grab a coffee and work at the tables before or after check-in. For daily activities and food, Barmezzo has a restaurant and events every day like karaoke, quizzes, and beerpong. Bargiu is where the cool events happen featuring live music, dj sets and stand-up comedy that brings together locals and travelers. During the summer, you can head up to Barsu, our rooftop pool bar where social parties take place with a view.
Such a great hostel, new and fresh with the best facilities, pool and club are definitely highlights. The staff were amazing and friendly, 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!
This was my first ever time staying at an hostel, and let me tell you it was one of the best experiences of my life. Stay here, you wont regret it! Plus the pool is just amazing!
I really enjoyed my stay. Although there was always some party going on I didn’t hear a thing staying on the second floor so that’s great for a good night sleep.
Neither the train station or the city center are quite near the hostel but it’s manageable using the train to the train station.
The hostel was clean, you had everything you need and you we felt safe
the dorms were beautiful and clean, the pool and terrace was amazing! we liked the hostel events and just the hostel overall. only minus point: the bar was quite expensive especially the cocktails and we missed a few kitchen appliances
I was very impressed with Yellow Square. The rooftop pool was beautiful and made the place feel like a hotel. It was a nice place to have a chill sunset drink. The bar downstairs & upstairs made it easy to meet people- just get in line & chat while you’re waiting! The club downstairs made it easy to get to bed at night after having fun! I came in late one night when restaurants had all closed, but didn’t have to worry about food because the kitchen there was open. The only thing I will say is that our bathroom wasn’t cleaned thoroughly every day. Also, the shower water spilled onto the rest of the bathroom floor easily. Because of that, the floor was often wet.
The hostel is clean, organized, and new. All the staffs are welcoming and fluent in English. I have a comfortable stay in this hostel.
Had an amazing time at Yellowsquare Florence! Mixed dorm was super clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious. Staff were super friendly especially at the bar! Really enjoyed the organised activities like beer pong and karaoke as it was a great way to meet new people. Can’t wait to go back one day!
Amazing staff, clean and well located place. Met nice people.
YellowSquare is an excellent hostel. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and with very friendly staff, I highly enjoyed my stay there. The hostel is new, and it shows. Everything works (not always the case in hostels!), and there are well thought-through inclusions, such as password-protected safes for every bed. The food and drink sold were very good (for hostel food – Florentine food should still be enjoyed above hostel food in general!), and the hostel’s environment was friendly, with plenty of space to meet people.
One mark gets taken off for location, which is a 20-30 minutes walk North of the city centre. The centre and South of the city are more enjoyable, though the distance isn’t too bad.
Everything was pretty much perfect. AC could have been a little colder, but other than that, everything was great. They even gave me a new lock free of charge. Highly recommend this place, especially for the low price (when I booked). Location is a little far away.
A friend and I booked a short getaway of 2 nights at yellowsquare Florence not knowing we would be so impressed. The staff are all so nice and helpfull and soeek oerfect english, check in was at 3 but we got the room a little earlier, the room itself was very nice and quite well cleaned. Everything was orovided, just the lock for the lockers had to be bought for 2 euros. Towels were also 2 euros with included earplugs. The best part though was the rooftop pool with an amazing vibe and bar and rhe included disco with very reasonable prices. Also all drinks were 20% off for the guests at all bars.
I loved this hostel. It was very beautiful, everything cleaned, everyone was so kind ! I had so much fun. The pool is so cool and necessary during summer!! The breakfast was great!
We stayed at Yellow Square just for one night, but we were surprised by the structure, very cool and modern.
If you are looking a place for party everyday, this is the place. If you are a digital nomad looking for a space to work and rest, maybe is not the best option. The staff were nice, it’s clean and the beds are comfortable but too much party for me.
I really had a great time at YellowSquare in Florence; the only thing I missed was a place to work; sometimes the bar was so loud to do meetings. Also, I tried to go outside, but the employee threw me out of the chairs, so I needed to do a few meetings on the stairs. I work for an American Company. Unfortunately, I need to shift my hours to MT, which means that I would need to work until 2 am. Besides the fact of this episode, the place is lovely!! The pool, the bar, the staff, and the atmosphere was really good.
Everything was great. The staff, room and all. The only issue is with the bathroom water getting off the bathroom to the room
1) the food was amazing
2) the reception staff was perfect – in advice in engagement
3) there are daily events at the hostel.
4) the beds are one of the most spacious I have seen in any hostel.
I had a super fun time. Overall a 10/10
Great arts, common areas, friendly staff, separate bathroom showers in the room, map was helpful too. Here are a few things you can improve:
1) Automatically closing door towards the rooms on the first floor to reduce noise
2) get rid of the motion sensors in bedrooms, or have a way to turn them off at night. In the bathroom they would be ok
3) use bed for the beds, it vibrates less, dampens noise and is more sustainable
4) install curtains in the beds
5) install noise dampening on the doors so they don‘t shut aggresively
Yellow square Florence was amazing! Clean, friendly staff and amazing social atmosphere! The staff ran activities every night which made it easy to meet people, but most people were solo travelling and eager to make friends outside of organized activities as well
From the staff to the facilities, everything was excellent. I particularly enjoyed how smoothly everything went, and the little details that went into making the stay as pleasant as could be (such as the sunscreen and free water near the pool, or the fun activites offered each night).
The hostel is amazing! I made friends super fast, the activities were nice and the pool super cool. Everything was really clean and aesthetic. The only thing is that it’s a 15 min walk from the city but I didn’t mind! Loved it and can’t wait to go back.
Yellowsquare Florence is a lively hostel about 25 min walk from the main old city center of Florence. While it’s a bit further out than ideal, the hostel makes up for it with great communal spaces including a rooftop POOL! In the hot summer the rooftop pool was an amazing amenity that we used everyday. The downstairs hangout space and outdoor front patio were also very fun. They also have a shared kitchen space, and interior courtyard, and even other meeting spaces for classes and things. It’s on the larger side of hostels but that made things even more lively and fun.
One of the best hostels I stayed at on my journey around Europe. Vibe was great on the get-go with friendly staff, and it had all the facilities that I needed. Comfortable beds and room with nice touches.
The hostel and all it has to offer is amazing.
The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 10 was it’s location… it was a bit far from the center
We enjoyed our stay – the room was clean, the staff always friendly and the pool a great add-on 🙂 we only missed some equipment in the kitchen – once the dishwasher was running we did not even find enough spoons and plates for breakfast. For supper there was only one free pot for cooking… also the space in the fridges was not sufficient.
We felt really safe all the time and the property was beautiful. The rooftop was amazing and the best place to relax.
The hostel is modern and fashionable, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, but the best part is the super friendly staff and the events they organize every day. Put a smile on your face and – voilà – you have made tons of new friends.
I stayed there for three nights and it was so much better than I expected and than any other Hostel I’ve ever been. I got full access to the rooftop swimingpool (from which I could see the main Cathedral), my room had both aircon and private bathroom, everything was quite clean and the beds were confortable and had a bar to hang a curtain. The staff was extremely nice and the Hostel organizes an activity every day (gelateria tour, club night, pictionary night…). I absolutely recomend going and if I ever go back to Florence I will stay there.
The staff was friendly, nice house, good place
Overall the hostel was clean and very interesting! They provided a lot of activities and socialization opportunities and the people I met along the way was unforgettable
I had a great time, thank you guys 🙂 Altough, I was travelling alone, I´ve never felt alone. The first night was a nice party at the nightclub downstairs, awesome! Besides that, there was a Poolparty and a Karaoke night. Always a opportunity to meet new people and have a good time 🙂
The hostel was very clean, always fresh cool air and the pool was great for a refreshment.
Our expectation was that there would be a breakfast buffe. This expectation came from booking.com where you could book the accomodation including breakfast and it also said you could ad on breakfast for 2.5 euro. However this option was not available at the hostel.
