YellowSquare Reviews: Florence
YellowSquare Florence provides female-only dorms, shared dorms, and private ensuite rooms. We have an easy working space in the shared areas where you can grab a coffee and work at the tables before or after check-in. For daily activities and food, Barmezzo has a restaurant and events every day like karaoke, quizzes, and beerpong. Bargiu is where the cool events happen featuring live music, dj sets and stand-up comedy that brings together locals and travelers. During the summer, you can head up to Barsu, our rooftop pool bar where social parties take place with a view.
The room and bathroom were clean. It is a good location from the bus stop but can be a far walk from things like the academia gallery. The activates with other guests are fun. The room lockers need a personal lock and do not lock with your keycard.
The atmosphere at the hostel was incredible, with the bar, the free drink to make people get together. It was organized and client oriented, all the infrastructure was perfect with lockers, plugs, towels.
Thanks for everything, you made my stay in Firenze beautiful !
Sanitary conditions could be improved, especially the quilts!
It was such a great atmosphere. The staff felt like friends and were helpful all time. Its very modern and clean. The hostel offers everything you need – a great bar, a club, activities, a rooftop pool, a well sorted community kitchen. There are a lot of food options nearby.
Its a 20 min walk to the city center, but there is a tram station 2 min away.
Nice stay as always in a yellowsquare hostel. Good facilities, friendly staff.
I had a great first experience in a hostel. The location, facilities, staff& activities were all top notch! I can definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!
This hostel has an excellent localization, a lot a activities to do at night, free welcome drink.
Loved the overall accommodations and friendliness of the staff. There was a camera in the all female dorm bathroom, which is highly inappropriate and none of us had prior warning it would be in there. Doesn’t cover the toilet or shower stalls, but still very inappropriate when that is a room women change clothes in. Almost slipped onto the floor because I was wearing socks climbing down the bunk ladder. Had to either go barefoot or wear shoes to climb up and down safely. It’s a 15 minute walk from the train station, and the oath to get to the hostel isn’t good for rolling luggage. It’s a minimum 15 minute walk to get to the main part of the city, and about 25 minutes to get to the Uffizi. Wear comfortable shoes if you aren’t going to use the bus to get back and forth.
Great rooms and a perfect lounging atmosphere
Good, clean hostel with opportunity to engage in a lot of activities. Handy to have breakfast opportunities especially before heading off on day tours.
Really clean, nice facilities, events and a rooftop pool! Felt more like I was on holiday than anywhere else I’ve stayed
Meeting good people and having a good time in YellowSquare !
Nice place to the meet and make new friends, provided with a comfortable ambiance.
This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. The rooms are well thought-out, comfortable, and clean, and the common spaces have everything needed for a great stay. The atmosphere was incredible and very social, and I had no trouble making new friends here! It is only a 20 minute walk from the center or a short tram ride away. Definitely recommend staying here!
it really made my trip to florence. first time going solo, staff were so lovely , im quite a disorganised person so stuff went a bit wrong sometimes, but the staff were always so lovely and helpful all the times. the hostel was so social and it was so easy to make friends here. made really good friends with a few solo travellers that were also staying here. If you’re ever in florence, undoubtedly this is the best hostel to stay. lovely people and great location (very close to a tram stop so getting into florence city was so easy)
Nice staff, clean rooms, good variation of activities. I had a great time and really enjoyed staying here (:
Nice hostel but location was not great and the pool was freezing cold even at the hottest time of day
It was very easy to ger connected to other people in the hostel, because the staff did events every evening and the connections to other people just built naturally. The food and drinks were very good and i like the pool a lot.
Felt so safe here, vibes immaculate (lol)
I stayed 3 nights at YellowSquare Venice in a 4 female dorm and it’s a pretty good hostel. Not immediately close to the Central Station, but there is tram very often for the city center, so that’s not a problem. The hostel is clean, has a good infrastructure and activities every night and the staff is really very attentive and helpful. It’s not the best ever, but it worth the money.
thanks for all support provided
The hostel is amazing with a great vibe and great events.
Its my hostel of choise everytime i come to Florence and i’m Always Happy to come back: Awesome staff, activities everyday, well located, 3 bars, pool and the best vibe in Florence
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely the best hostel in the world, from the staff to the location, the beauty of the place and the people that walk through there every day, who will instantly become your best friends.
The hostel is incredible and the vibes amazing !! That’s for me from far from the others hostel i visited in the world, the best one, and will come back in November for sure
I had an amazing time at Yellow square, staff were exceptional. plenty of events, great for solo travelers.
Not really serious staff or friendly.
Free pasta every day (not the best but free), one free beer/wine to every customer, Nice staff, lots of activities hosted, free tampons, and i liked the design of the place. Retning a towel was only 1€, really cheap. Best hostel we were at during our interrail trip.
First time staying at any hostel and I couldn’t be happier, beds were better than expected, place was extremely clean and nice. The vibe was always positive. Met some amazing people and had a blast. The location was also great, just far enough to be away from tourist area but not far enough for it to be a long walk. Will stay here again in the future
There was no distilled water available. We had to go to the communal kitchen to boil hot water ourselves. Yet, it is tap water. There were not any complimentary fruits or snacks available. We had to self-cook the pasta. This is also below my expectation because other hostel does provide readily-available snacks.
A deposit has to be paid for luggage storage upon discharge. This is something new to me as all other hostel stores it for free for in-house guest.
Outside foods and drinks can only be taken in communal kitchen. Does that mean we are not entitled to enjoy the bar seat view at the main entrance if we do not spend at your bar section?
This place was awesome and not just because it had a pool. The pool was nice but I would still rate my experience amazing even if there was no pool. All the staff is so helpful and friendly and the hostels activities are always fun and well organized and a great way to meet people. There’s food for pretty cheap in case you just want to stay in all day which was quite nice. The pool was so great during the heat of the summer and I spent a whole day reading and enjoying the weather. Only downside was I thought the showers were a little icky on the sides where they seal but I had shower shoes and it was only on the edges so wasn’t a problem. I booked last minute so I got a mixed dorm which I was nervous about as a solo female traveler but everyone was super nice and respectful and also had a couple girls in my room. Only slightly bad thing was on the last night some people in my room were about to hook up in the bed above me so I had to exit the room at like 4am for a little bit to save my ears from that lol.
