AI Ragione Tu: exploring AI bias through a (serious) game
The idea
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere. It writes, answers, suggests. But how often do we stop and ask: where do those answers come from? With AI Ragione Tu, YellowSquare created an interactive experience to explore AI bias through a playful and accessible format. Developed together with Banano Studio, writers, and activists, the event aimed to turn a complex and often distant topic into an engaging game that mixed critical thinking, creativity, and participation.
The project was created as part of L’Eredità delle Donne OFF festival in Florence, a context that made reflection on representation, equality, and culture even more meaningful.
Putting AI to the test
Hosted at YellowSquare Florence, the event brought together voices such as Esmeralda Moretti, Francesco Pacifico, Viola Valéry Giacalone, and Alessia Dulbecco.
Through unexpected questions and creative prompts, speakers challenged artificial intelligence in real time, pushing it to reveal its limits, contradictions, and hidden biases.
But the real protagonists were the participants. The audience was invited to vote, react, and actively test the algorithm, transforming the event into a collective and interactive experience rather than a traditional talk.
Bias after bias
What emerged was clear: AI is not neutral.
Every output generated by artificial intelligence reflects the data, cultures, and people behind it. Technology may appear objective, but it is still shaped by human choices, perspectives, and systems. AI Ragione Tu became a shared moment of awareness: an opportunity to better understand artificial intelligence by questioning it together.

Fuori Rotta: sustainable tourism off the beaten path
Rethinking sustainable travel
Every year in September, Milan turns its eyes to sustainability for Green Week, pushing companies, communities, and individuals to take better care of the planet and its resources.
But what does sustainability really mean today?
Last year, we partnered with two organizations that run tours in Italy and Greece – Orma Guides and Greeking.me – to understand how travel and sustainability can move side by side.
Discovering hidden and local experiences
Fuori Rotta was an experience designed to go beyond the idealized concept of “responsible travel” and turn it into something tangible. Taking place across Rome, Milan, Florence, and Athens, the initiative invited travelers and locals alike to explore a more conscious and authentic way of discovering the cities they live in or that they travel to, one that values connection over consumption.
This is why we organized a guided urban tour in every YellowSquare, bringing anyone who joined to the hidden and greener sides of each destination. Rather than following traditional tourist routes, participants were led through lesser-known neighborhoods, local projects, and community-driven spaces that shape the identity of each city. Through these experiences, both guests and locals had the chance to meet the people, communities, and organizations that actively contribute to making cities more inclusive, sustainable, and (most importantly) alive.
From urban tours to community connection
The experience didn’t stop with the tours. Back at YellowSquare, each day continued with sustainability quiz shows, live music, and DJ sets, transforming learning into something interactive and social. These moments created space for exchange, between travelers and locals, between different perspectives, and between ideas of what tourism can and should be.
Making sustainable tourism engaging
At its core, Fuori Rotta is about shifting perspective. Sustainable tourism is not just about reducing impact, but about building meaningful connections with places and people.
By bringing together exploration, education, and community, the project shows that responsible travel can be engaging, inspiring and genuinely fun.

Only Usato: a fundrising feminist auction
When hospitality meets activism
What happens when a simple gathering turns into an opportunity to support real change?
At YellowSquare Florence, Only Usato was more than just an event – it was a moment where hospitality and activism came together to create impact. In collaboration with the second-hand project Only Usato, we hosted a feminist auction aimed at supporting the Feminist Library of Florence.
Set in our garden, the event transformed a familiar space into something new: a place for awareness, exchange, and collective participation.
A second-hand auction for gender equality
Throughout the evening, guests – both locals and travelers – took part in a curated second-hand auction, where each item carried not just a story, but a purpose. Between an aperitivo, music, and a relaxed atmosphere, participants engaged with themes of sustainability, reuse, and gender equality in a way that felt accessible and inclusive.
All proceeds from the auction were donated to the Feminist Library of Florence, supporting those who work every day on issues of representation, equality, and social justice.
Creating meaningful community experiences
The event, made possible thanks to our eventeers Flavia Nalli and Ahmed Miloud, reflects a broader vision of what community can look like. At YellowSquare, creating experiences also means creating space for conversations that matter – finding ways to bring people together while supporting local realities and grassroots initiatives. Because community is not just about being together, but about standing for something together.

BR Fest: celebrating the Brazilian community in Rome and Milan
A space where communities thrive
Last year, while observing our guests during the high season, we realized that something was missing from the Roman nightlife scene.
During our parties, we noticed more and more Brazilian people showing up, sharing their energy with others, teaching their traditional dances, and introducing new sounds and rhythms to the space.
The Brazilian community was giving us clear signals – a need for belonging that we wanted to support and share with them. So we asked ourselves: what happens when a community is given a space to gather, share traditions, and feel at home?
BR Fest was our answer.
Live music, dance, and cultural expression
From an idea by Enrico Cappi, one of our Brazilian eventeers, we found the right connections and created a place to properly celebrate Brazilian culture. In collaboration with Emporio Brasilero, a nearby restaurant and a home for many Brazilian immigrants, BR Fest was born.
Behind this party was a simple idea: creating a space where people could reconnect with their roots, teach others about their culture, all while building new connections in the cities they live in.
Through live performances, Baile Funk DJ sets and Forrò Dance Classes, the event became a moment where culture is not just represented, it is actively lived.
Diversity as a driver of community and creativity
BR Fest is also a reflection of how diversity within a team can shape meaningful experiences. By supporting our people and embracing their cultural backgrounds, we create opportunities that go beyond hospitality: fostering relationships, giving back to communities, and inspiring creativity. Because at YellowSquare, community is not just something we host. It’s something we build, together.

The September tarot card is "THE KARMA SPOT"
Let’s begin with a little test. Yes yes, the famous Rorschach inkblot!
What do you see in this Tarot Card?
A. A person
B. A bottle of gin
C. A tattoo idea
D. Yet another cliché about our poor, polluted planet
If you thought your answer reveals something profound about your personality… I’m here to disappoint you. This month’s card, The Karma Spot, isn’t about the hidden corners of your soul.
It’s about everything you no longer see.
The waves you stare at during your seaside escape.
The patch of grass beneath your feet when you walk to clear your head.
The breeze through an open window. The silence of a tree-lined street. The plastic cup you threw “just this once.”
This month, we look at all the things we take for granted and realize they’re not so granted after all.
So here is your invitation, my eco-curious friends. Join us for Green Week. Talks, actions, moments of reflection and connection.
This green week, with Orma Guides we’ll take you Fuori Rotta: away from clichés, TikTok must-visist guides and endless lines. Together we’ll explore the green side of our cities, meeting the people and projects that keep them truly alive.
We’ll start from each YellowSquare and set off on a tour to meet, taste, touch and discover hidden places. Then back for an aperitivo, a sustainability quiz with prizes, and to wrap it all up: live music and a nice DJ set.
Want to learn more about the program in your city? Discover what’s happening and get your free spot for Rome, Milano, or Florence now!
Because doing something good for the planet is more than activism. It’s Good Karma. 🌿✨
The Karma Spot
In a distant land, there was a tiny world, no larger than a grain of sand but lush with green fields, vibrant flowers, and beautiful creatures. This world was ruled by an Empress, a symbol of prosperity and abundance. One day, a traveler stumbled upon this small world. Eager to show off his discovery, he trapped it in a plastic bottle. With no air, the flowers began to wilt, and the creatures struggled for breath. Realizing the damage he had done, the traveler quickly set the tiny world free, allowing it to thrive once more.
Oracle’s Guidance
When you discover something beautiful, nurture it privately, respect it, and help preserve it. Fight for others to experience it as well. Good karma will follow.
Value
Preservation and responsible tourism.
How to find the cards?
They will find you! The traveler’s tarot cards are hidden under a chair, camouflaged between posters, between books or under a cup, waiting to be discovered when the right time is. It is not just about reading a card: it is an experience that happens by destiny,
A sign that comes to you exactly when you need it more. Each card you find is an invitation to stop, reflect and ask you what you are trying to tell you the universe. Just like every big journey, each of these cards will push you a little further from your comfort zone,
offering you new intuitions and helping you to see the world with new eyes.

The August tarot card is "THE STARS"
So sing SZA and Kendrick Lamar. If you don’t know who or what I’m talking about, here’s my cosmic translation: The Stars are hope and also that quiet fear that comes when our dreams draw too close. Because when they finally touch us, life can feel brighter… and scarier. Sometimes, it’s easier to just admire the stars from afar. But this month, I see a different constellation in your future: look around and truly appreciate the people beside you. Friends, colleagues, strangers sharing your journey. They are the stardust that makes your own light shine brighter. We are all connected by a thin, invisible thread of light. We don’t just shine alone. We glow together, like a galaxy. So sing, dare something a little crazy, and cherish the souls around you. Under this endless sky, every connection makes you sparkle more. Period.
The Stars
Stars in the sky can sometimes be distant, hidden behind clouds, or shine brightly on clear nights. Despite their differences, each star holds its own significance to an astrologer. All stars, regardless of their brightness, are valuable and meaningful. They light up the sky in their own unique way.
Oracle’s Guidance
It’s your time to shine, dream, and understand that, under our shared sky, our differences make us all equal. Embrace your light and the lights of others.
Value
Diversity and inclusion.

The July tarot card is "THE SUN"
The Sun
There was once a person who had lived their entire life shrouded in a fog—a thick, endless mist that hung over everything. Days felt identical, gray and without purpose, as if life itself were hollow. Though nothing was particularly wrong, a quiet emptiness weighed on the city and everyone in it. But one day, this person decided to seek out what lay beyond the veil of fog. With determination, they walked toward a small crack in the darkness, where a single ray of light seeped through.
As they passed through the gap, they were met by the powerful Sun, radiant and warm. The sunlight filled their body with energy, awakening emotions they hadn’t felt in ages. They felt joy, clarity, and a sense of purpose lighting up within them. From that day forward, wonderful things began to unfold, as the Sun’s glow brought color, warmth, and life back to their world.
Oracle’s Guidance
Seek the Sun, for the dark times are coming to an end, and a season of happiness and success is on its way. Stay optimistic—beautiful days await.
Value
Optimism and renewal.

The June tarot card is "THE JUSTICE"
Ah, Justice! What a word! The dictionaries call it a “virtue that consists in the will to recognize and respect the rights of others.” Noble, yes, but don’t picture blindfolded goddesses or lawyers from binge-worthy courtroom dramas.
Instead, close your eyes and imagine… a colourful basket. Yes, really. Those old-school woven ones. A single strand may be fragile, but when threads cross, one over, one under, they create something strong enough to carry weight, to last for decades… centuries!
Justice, to me, is just that: an intricate weave of mutual respect. Not overpowering, not judging. Just the art of holding each other up.
So this June, I see not just a basket, but a rainbow one. Colorful, strong, and made of many different threads. Happy Pride Month, dear souls. Free the World.
The Justice
In a world not so different from ours, someone took the first step toward creating peace. But in their efforts to promote harmony, they encountered opposing groups, each firmly clinging to its own interests. Watching the chaos, the person realized that selflessness was the key to bringing people together. They understood that everyone’s lives were interconnected, like an intricate web, and that by protecting others, they would protect their own peace as well. With determination, they began resolving misunderstandings and building bridges between the groups. Over time, this network of connections grew stronger, fostering protection and harmony for all.
Oracle’s Guidance
Our lives are all connected; protect others and become a peacemaker. This is your sign to clear up misunderstandings and foster peace in your relationships.
Value
Peace and interconnectedness.

The May tarot card: "THE INERTIA"
There are times when we wait… for a message, a call, a sign…or even just a smile that never quite shows up. Perhaps you weren’t exactly waiting for my message this month, but here I am, late as ever. Why? Because just like the card of May, I too was stuck.
Frozen in thought. “Should I write this… or that?” And so, my dear ones, I’m here to share a tiny revelation: Don’t be the hourglass, hanging still in time. Move. Act. Fail. But do something!
And this month, the invitation I send you is not to a party, a talk, or an aperitivo. It’s to a sacred space called the polling station.
Yes—go vote. Express your thoughts. Show up.
Because even small actions are stronger than long silences.
The Inertia
There was once an hourglass that decided to lie on its side, refusing to let its sands flow. Stagnant, it lay there, making time itself stand still. Days did not come, nor did nights; summer never turned into winter. One day, a gentle breeze whispered to the hourglass, urging it to tilt. It promised that whether days were bright or dark, the hourglass would find joy in the changes it could bring. Inspired, the hourglass turned, and time began to move once more.
Oracle’s Guidance
If you want things to change, you must take action. Be the change you wish to see in your world. Do not fear the turning of time; embrace it.
Value
Embrace change for the better.

The April tarot card: "THE FOOL"
Ah, April! The winds of change blow, and from my crystal ball I see… The Fool! Not an insult—The Fool is the genius (and a little bit the madman) who dares to step into the unknown without a map or a clue.
And you, dear traveler, know this well. Living far from home, exploring new places, saying yes to the unfamiliar—it’s all a bit crazy, and yet it makes you more flexible, creative, and wise. Science says so!
So pat yourself on the back and embrace your inner Fool—even if sometimes it nags you with doubts, frustrations, or leads you into awkward situations. That Foolish side is part of you too, and it’s exactly what makes you different, bold, and ready to discover what others never dare to see.
Trust the Fool. The journey has only just begun.
The Fool
Once upon a time, there was a person who lived by a strict routine. Day in and day out, they followed the same path, performed the same tasks, and never deviated from their predictable life. People around them thought this was normal, even admirable, because it was safe. But one day, something inexplicable happened. Without planning, without forethought, this person packed a small bag and set off on a journey to places unknown. They left behind their home, their routines, and everything familiar. People called them “The Fool,” because they thought this decision was reckless, even mad. But The Fool knew something they didn’t: to experience true magic, one must embrace a bit of madness. They had a feeling deep inside that by stepping out into the world, by letting go of all that they once thought was possible, they would discover not only new lands and people but also a new version of themselves.
Oracle’s Guidance
Magic happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone, when you open your mind and heart to the world and the unexpected. Have the courage to discover and accept what is different from you. Let go of your fears and take that leap; follow your heart and instincts. You will find a new world and a new you.
Value
Open-mindedness, embracing the new and different.
