YellowSquare Reviews: Florence

The rooms were very clean and spacious. This is my second time staying at YellowSquare Florence – the first time in a dorm and the second in a private room. Both times they exceeded expectations! They are very affordable with good quality and I love the cafe/breakfast area they have by the reception desk.

This hostel was so fun! This was maybe hostel #7 that I stayed in for my trip through Italy, and it was most definitely my favorite one. Everyone was very social and very open to making friends. Yellowsquare themselves fosters a space that breeds community amongst its guests. This hostel was a little more expensive then I was used to paying, but 100% worth it.

This hostel is maintained very clean. You get almost everything you need starting from the curtains to the free pasta they give everyday. The food in the hostel is very affordable and of high quality.

This place also has a very balanced vibe. Its not extremely party party nor is it super boring. Interesting games happen every night for people to socialise. I would 100% stay here again when i am in florence.

Amazing hostel. The best I’ve ever been in terms of infrastructure. Amazing rooms and bathrooms, great food, perfect social activities, incredible employees. Location is far from the messy touristic area but one can reach there in a short walk.

It was good however the room that i stay it was not cover my bed

I liked this hostel. I’m glad it was so close to the tram stops.

The free pasta was a nice way to come together in a social setting.

I got a good free book from the shelf.

I had lots of fun at karaoke. The noise stayed downstairs, from the room I didn’t hear anything, very good soundproofing.

I booked YellowSquare because it had such high ratings on HostelWorld and it was close to the pick-up spot for my bus trip to Cinque Terre. However, it is not close to much of else and needs to serve as a restaurant, a bar and a club because it’s so far from everything. The bunk beds are essentially metal sheets and, if the room is cold, the metal just traps the cold. It was overpriced for the overall experience and I wish I had paid a little more for a better location and at the same comfort level.

Atmosphere was great, enjoyed the events at night, staff super friendl!.

Beds comfortable but rooms not very well ventilated. Sheets were clean but duvets had stains on them.

The ensuite stayed clean, but it would be great if there was somewhere to put your belongings in the shower cubical; it was difficult to get changed especially when there was no lock on main bathroom door.

Great Hostel with nice equipment. The shared room was fairly confortable and was located in a calm area. The hostel is closed to the train station and city center in a calm neighborhood.

I really enjoyed my stay at Yellow Square in Florence. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and clean, and the bed comfortable. Lots of great people and good vibes in the evening. But also space to relax on your own or work if you need it. Great coffee and breakfast. Would recommend and stay here again myself 🙂

The place was great and had such a cool vibe. Loved all the events the hostel put on, and it was truly such a social environment. As a female traveler, I felt comfortable and safe being there and they had implemented so many safety measures. I also appreciated how clean our hostel was! Would for sure go back in a heartbeat, and it was such an amazing experience.

This hostel was clean, spacious, and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the free, engaging events made my experience even more wonderful!

Workers were very nice and the people were great. Overall Alessandro, a new worker of yours, was very nice and a very gentle person.

The hostel’s location is perfect. It’s right in front of the tram and a few stations away from the center. The staff were helpful & very quick to explain everything to me. The rooms were very clean, as well as the bathrooms. Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!!!

Yellow square is really nicely located. Staff are easy and very professional. Welcome drinks and free pasta is just the tip of the ice burg 🙂 thank you very much!

I really like this hostel because it was really comfy. It’s really near from the center of the city and also they really like you to feel in home so the rooms are clean and there’s many people to meet in this hostel so very recommended.

Except the toilet floor flooded with water problem in the first time and they fixed it the next day very quick, everything is perfect. Nice and helpful staff! I kind of need to stay one night at my friend’s place but don’t want to check out one night before so the staff agree to let me keep the room card if I’m not going back to check out, which is so considerate and quite a relief for my travel schedule. Thank you again.!

I loved the vibe of the hostel, the music in the reception, the staff members, the cleanliness, the food and the activities, the drinks. I wish I’d have stayed longer actually, but I already plan another Florence trip in the future and I’m probably going to choose yellow square again, but also probably in Rome and other cities.

Rooms were amazing and environment was even better. It’s a very social hostel which is definitely appreciated and has lots of amenities too which is great. It was very clean with very friendly/accommodating staff. Had the opportunity to meet some amazing people here and overall I’d really recommend it!

While playing games the host didn’t include everyone and was only selective of people they liked.

Second time I come to a yellowsquare establishment, such a good meeting thanks to the atmosphere offered. I have only good memories there

I really enjoyed the YellowSquare hostel in Florence. The proximity of the train to the hostel just a few minutes away was a nice surprise. Yr stay at the hostel was amazing and so nice. I spoke to Leigha and was so impressed with the experience I had at the hostel. I enjoyed it so much when I went to Rome I stayed at the YellowSquare hostel😁

Super welcoming staff and positive environment! There’s always something going on to meet other people staying there too

When I caught a cold ,the front desk staff treated me with great kindness and care.
They even escorted the visiting doctor to my room, which was extremely helpful. truly appreciate their support and attentiveness.
The complimentary pasta was also delicious, and the events looked very enjoyable. Next time stay, I would love to take part in one of the events. Thank you very much.

I had a great stay at YellowSquare Florence and really enjoyed the overall experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and international, making it perfect for both solo travelers and groups.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and always available, making you feel comfortable from the very beginning.

The location is also excellent, allowing you to explore Florence easily and stress-free.

IT WAS A TRULY FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A SOLO TRAVELER, THIS PLACE SHOULD BE AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST. Because they make you feel like you belong to the city within hours of arriving. I’m sorry I missed the complimentary pasta. But thank you so much for the complimentary wine. The cleanliness, the attention, and the hostel activities were fantastic.

I had a very nice and impressive experience in Florence, the room is very big and clean, the food is also not bad, and i have made a friend with my roommate, which I think a really pleasure.

The best experience ever! Nicest receptionists and workers. Clean. Pretty place. Best price you’ll find out there.

The hostel sleeping arrangements were comfortable, and it was fun to hear about Italy experiences from other guests. However, I was annoyed when I asked to play ping pong (outside) and was told it’s closed. The staff were friendly but it felt like the manager tried to power trip me.
