YellowSquare is looking for Square Enthusiasts for our YellowSquare hostel in Milan.
Our Enthusiasts are responsible for creating unforgettable memories during our guests’ stay.
We strongly believe in balancing work and personal life while promoting a fun and stimulating work environment. We love proactive people who are motivated to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
This is not your typical 9-to-5 job. As a Square Enthusiast, you’ll be juggling different roles between reception work and bartending, keeping things fresh, fun, and definitely never boring! One day you might be working in reception getting to meet and greet all the guests, the next day you will be shaking up cocktails and serving drinks until 3:30 a.m. on one of our legendary party nights.
What you’ll be doing:
- Welcoming guests with a smile, checking them in, and handling check-outs
- Serving up coffee and drinks, chatting with guests, and being the life of the party behind the bar.
- Promoting hostel events and local experiences to make our guests’ stay unforgettable.
- Jumping in to help with whatever comes up—whether it’s a question about Milan or a last-minute event.
- Being part of a super supportive team that’s got your back!
Requirements:
- Previous experience in similar roles (ie Receptionist and/or Bartender/Barista), at least 1 year experience
- Ability to collaborate within a team and other departments;
- Flexibility to work on a shift schedule on any day and time of the week from Monday to Sunday with shifts that go either from 7-8 am until 15-16 pm and from 16-17 pm until 01 am.
- Excellence in customer service;
- Highly proficient in spoken English and Italian

- For a Full time we offer a gross annual salary of €21,279, distributed over twelve months/payments per year. You can expect an approximate average net monthly salary of €1400,00. Additionally, you will receive extra compensation for any hours worked during nights, Sundays, or bank holidays.

Internship Program
Rome, Milan, Florence
Our internship program offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, international environment like our hostels. It’s a hands-on learning experience that provides both theoretical and practical training in various fields related to hospitality, including accommodation, F&B, tours, marketing, and event/social activity management. All of this takes place in a fun and vibrant setting, where you’ll engage with people from all over the world.
Selected interns become a part of our teams, and we’re excited to exchange knowledge and hospitality for your energy and fresh ideas.
Internship conditions:
- The internship lasts a minimum of 6 weeks.
- The training program consists of approximately 32 hours per week, with at least 2 days off to allow participants to relax or explore the beauty of Italy.
We offer the following benefits to participants:

- Two meals per day at our bar/restaurant.

STAY FOR FREE PROGRAM

Present your artistic collaboration proposal with the hostel, and if it gets accepted, you’ll be able to stay with us free of charge.
The program is designed for traveling artists (such as photographers, musicians, videographers, illustrators) who have the desire and opportunity to share their skills while they are on the road. Remember to present your abilities, but most importantly, propose how these skills can be incorporated into our Squares, accompanied by videos and photos. There are no limits or restrictions, but we require you to submit your ideas at least 3 weeks in advance. This way we can arrange everything for your arrival so we can bring an awesome project to life.
