Only Usato: a fundrising feminist auction
When hospitality meets activism
What happens when a simple gathering turns into an opportunity to support real change?
At YellowSquare Florence, Only Usato was more than just an event – it was a moment where hospitality and activism came together to create impact. In collaboration with the second-hand project Only Usato, we hosted a feminist auction aimed at supporting the Feminist Library of Florence.
Set in our garden, the event transformed a familiar space into something new: a place for awareness, exchange, and collective participation.
A second-hand auction for gender equality
Throughout the evening, guests – both locals and travelers – took part in a curated second-hand auction, where each item carried not just a story, but a purpose. Between an aperitivo, music, and a relaxed atmosphere, participants engaged with themes of sustainability, reuse, and gender equality in a way that felt accessible and inclusive.
All proceeds from the auction were donated to the Feminist Library of Florence, supporting those who work every day on issues of representation, equality, and social justice.
Creating meaningful community experiences
The event, made possible thanks to our eventeers Flavia Nalli and Ahmed Miloud, reflects a broader vision of what community can look like. At YellowSquare, creating experiences also means creating space for conversations that matter – finding ways to bring people together while supporting local realities and grassroots initiatives. Because community is not just about being together, but about standing for something together.
