BR Fest: celebrating the Brazilian community in Rome and Milan
A space where communities thrive
Last year, while observing our guests during the high season, we realized that something was missing from the Roman nightlife scene.
During our parties, we noticed more and more Brazilian people showing up, sharing their energy with others, teaching their traditional dances, and introducing new sounds and rhythms to the space.
The Brazilian community was giving us clear signals – a need for belonging that we wanted to support and share with them. So we asked ourselves: what happens when a community is given a space to gather, share traditions, and feel at home?
BR Fest was our answer.
Live music, dance, and cultural expression
From an idea by Enrico Cappi, one of our Brazilian eventeers, we found the right connections and created a place to properly celebrate Brazilian culture. In collaboration with Emporio Brasilero, a nearby restaurant and a home for many Brazilian immigrants, BR Fest was born.
Behind this party was a simple idea: creating a space where people could reconnect with their roots, teach others about their culture, all while building new connections in the cities they live in.
Through live performances, Baile Funk DJ sets and Forrò Dance Classes, the event became a moment where culture is not just represented, it is actively lived.
Diversity as a driver of community and creativity
BR Fest is also a reflection of how diversity within a team can shape meaningful experiences. By supporting our people and embracing their cultural backgrounds, we create opportunities that go beyond hospitality: fostering relationships, giving back to communities, and inspiring creativity. Because at YellowSquare, community is not just something we host. It’s something we build, together.
